Les - Happy Belated Birthday to Zachary.
and I read the topic about Karl, some good advice there and you were definitely NOT being unreasonable. Hope he has had a better start to this week.

All this talk of TTC and , you'll be getting none of it from me tho, definitely had enough kids, but I am excited for all of you that are thinking of it again

Eva - so sorry you have had such a shit time of it, I hate spiteful people like that woman, am so angry that you have have been treated so badly because of the say so from one person I don't blame you from getting out of the whole childcare situation its a minefield.

RE Potty training - I haven't started with Ben at all yet, I still think he is too young. I started Sam when he was 2 and a half and he was dry day and night within a week, so I am going to use the same tack with Ben, so will do potty training during the Easter holidays. He does tell me when he has done a poo now which is a step in the right direction, but I am going to wait and take my lead from him I think

Well I had a fab weekend, 3 nights away on a hen weekend with 18 other women in Leeds, just what I needed :D

Now back to reality and today I have started baking Ben's b'day cake, can't believe he will be 2 soon

Hello to all you other ladies I have not mentioned xx

muppetgirl · 22/09/2009 13:09

eva
I am so sorry what was a good situation has turned into a nightmare so much it's affecting your health. I hope you get back on track and through this as soon as you can xx

Great re the university -what are you studying?

Re potty training today Henry went to the potty and said 'wee wee' and then sat down so I know he's made the link it's just I'm really not ready yet as I'm just getting to grips with going out with the three of them and I don't want to have to worry about taking spare clothes etc. I started with Ollie and never looked back so I don't want to start and stop with Henry.

Toby and Hen's rooms are finished painting and look lovely, Ollie's is started tomorrow. Henry slept in our room last night and is now having a nap in his travel cot (certainly travelling around our house at the mo!) in the living room where I think he'll stay tonight. Tomorrow Ollie will have the pop up tent in there and sleep in it so it's a bit of an adventure for them. The carpet doesn't come for another 2-3 weeks so not sure whether to move them back in and them move them all back out again as it's been hard work...

Toby slept through from 7pm -7am with a 10pm dreamfeed so I am ecstatic but ask me if he's done it again tomorrow before I really crack open the bubbly

LLL -glad you had a great time on the hen weekend, I think I'm needing a really good girlie night out

WWAJC - Anya is so cute re the sharing. Henry has no concept of sharing and positiviely guards his toys from other children

Stefka - being a woman is crap at times isn't it? I deferred my exam until Oct but haven't had any time to revise at all and when I sit down at night I'm knackered and can't concentrate enough to 'learn' iyswim. We are talking about me going back to uni to do the course but I have to figure out all of the childcare, how I hear Ollie read/support him at school, how I collect them and ferry them around where dh still just does his work unaffected by anything much at all. I know one of us has to work to pay the bills but even if I worked it would be me who sorts out the children as he's out so early and me that would be at home with them if they were ill. Not his fault but crap all the same.

TheLadyEvenstar · 23/09/2009 10:53

Hi All

Eva how can someone be so spiteful! Well done with university though, what are you going to be studying?

Stefka it is good that DH is going to do his degree at least when he has finished he will have more standing on the job front. And you are still young enough to wait to have another...unlike me I am getting well old!!!!!

LLL glad you had a good weekend..I am yet to get a night out without Karl or Zachary or dp for that matter.

WWAJC awww so cute with the sharing. Zachary likes to share....generally chocolate/crisps/banana etc that he has already sucked/chewed and gets most upset if i won't eat it....

Muppet I am not in a hurry to potty train Zachary...I had Karl dry day and night by the time he was 15/16m old. Zachary is not ready at all though. Not that I mind because I can still feed my nappy addiction lol.

I have a meeting with Karls school today over this other child, his mother will be there so that should be interesting.

Zachary is driving us mad with the things he is saying for example he walks around shouting singing Green Army, Bob we can, Nink Nonk, tea please, lolate (chocolate) Out now, along with a fair few other things. Last night in the car he was shouting singing lellow leath ed leath- which translated is yellow leather red leather...a tongue twister we were trying to get karl to say without stumbling lol...instead we ended up with Zachary shouting singing it all the way home.

He has become really difficult to take out to eat. We went to a harvester last night and he moaned the whole time. Would not sit down, wouldn't eat etc. So i ended up walking around with him because he was over tired and dp had been a twat forgetful person and left his buggy indoors.

Hope everyone is well.

NeedCoffee · 23/09/2009 13:16

Eva-What a cow! Hope she gets whats coming to her.

LES-what times the meeting? Shannon can't be taken anywhere either, she refuses to sit in highchairs, car seats, trolleys, prams anything that she can be strapped in and usually she can gets out of them anyway, just carried her out of Morrisons under my arm screaming cos she dropped her grapes so i took the bag off her, little sod.

LLL-Am so with you on the no more kids front, I don't think I could cope, and my 2 are great contraception icons atm. Hen night pics look fab.

Muppet-bet the rooms look great, and fingers crossed for many more full nights sleep form Toby.

Stefka-Its tough isn't it? I'm doing a foundation degree now as I don't see any other time that I'll be able to do it, Rich is doing his third year too, going to have to sacrafice a lot of things to make sure I/we get through it like him if he isn't careful as I'm also doing a full day of doing the AAT too, just sent off for my grant today.

WWAJC-Glad the show was nice and bless Anya for making the dogs share

Strawberry-Hope the good run of potty is continuing, Shannons really good at home when she has no bottoms on, but they tried her at nursey with pants on and she kept forgetting to go, so going to leave it a few weeks before trying again at nursey, which she seems to absolutely love going to!
Speaking of which, think she's poo'd on her potty now, had a bad cold, so couldn't smell/taste anything but getting a wiff of something smelly....

Inzi-Thats fab news, am so excited for you!!

FT,Alice,Dal where are you all these days? and big waves to anyone else I've missed xx

TheLadyEvenstar · 23/09/2009 13:26

NC meeting is at 2.30...will be leaving shortly to go to it.....am worried cos i know my temper is short when it comes to these shitskids bullying karl;

NeedCoffee · 23/09/2009 16:09

LES-how did it go?

TheLadyEvenstar · 23/09/2009 16:24

NC, it was a complete and utter waste of time!!!!!
the other kid was excluded today and therefore his mother and he were not at the meeting.
and the teacher spent her time talking about her fucking daughter and how she dreads her attitude changing now she is at school...oh and they will monitor the situation/

NeedCoffee · 23/09/2009 16:30

tut, well hopefully if hes already been excluded he wont be there for long!

TheLadyEvenstar · 23/09/2009 16:33

NC, I am going to write to the school tonight and send it recorded delivery. This needs sorting asap...my patience is already running very very thin.

CrochetDiva · 24/09/2009 19:27

Well, so much for the summer holidays!

Lovely to (almost) catch up with you all ... I've seen you around on fb ... boy, life is busy!

M is 2 next week, out of nappies (in the day anyway), out of a cot, out of a grobag, and out of nursery - she's gone back to the CM, and thankfully has settled this time around ... language coming on a treat, bit of a mixture of English and Welsh. She's a bossy madam, and can well and truly hold her own with more or less anybody - she is still my very own stroppy diva, and I wouldn't change her for the world. She still naps after lunch, but we have to be very strict and not allow her more than an hour or she doesn't go to bed - having said that, I'm counting myself lucky, as by this point, R had completely dropped his nap!

Unfortunately, there is an untold amount of messy crap going on in the background, which, although it doesn't affect me, J or the children personally, means that I have very little energy to do anything but survive ... hopefully once it's over I can vent, but at the moment I'm not allowed to say anything - which is hard

love to you all ... NC so sorry you had to take the little pills, they're not nice at all, Stefka & Strawberry, I hope work settles down for you, tLES - if necessary, I hope things settle down for Karl, alice - hello! muppetgirl - your boys are adorable in all the photos ... WWAJC - have the kazoos disappeared yet? FT - hello! Eva - silly cow woman - just what you needed!

Sorry if I've missed anybody out ... I'll try to be a more regular contributor!

CrochetDiva · 24/09/2009 19:28

Hi Crochet! Sound like Mairwen is doing really well. I am so impressed at all of you who have potty trained - not even started here!

Sorry to hear that you have other crap going on - I hope you are taking good care of yourself.

I have had a sick wee boy the last few days. Going to work has been hard.

TLES how are you getting on with the school now? Did you write?

muppetgirl · 24/09/2009 21:19

will post tomorrow, just posting so I can find you all again xxx

TheLadyEvenstar · 25/09/2009 23:17

OMGG You will never believe what happened to me this week!!!

I have been under my dentist for 14m and in that time all he has done is replace temp fillings with more temp fillings. Well I saw him on the 22nd and he said i needed 9 teeth out and wrote a letter to the hospital. Well today I went to a different dentist and he examined me, he said I have 2 root canals to be done, 3 crowns and possibly 1 extraction. This other dentist could have carried out all the treatment in the time I have been going and hasnt bothered!!!!!!!!!!!

NeedCoffee · 26/09/2009 08:55

WOW Crochet, you've done well, well done Mairwen on the potty training.

LES-God, bet you're glad you saw a differet one!

Hi Muppet

Everyone is so quiet on here, Dal-you ok? you're usually on here all the time!

Started my foundation degree on Tue and there on a Fri doing AAT, found out in total its going to cost me over £2250 to pay for everythnig for my college courses, hoping to get a grant of just over £1100 but don't know how I'm going to pay for the childcare, they've also told me since they've opened to the public I will have to pay for the holidays even when I don't have any lessons, like Christmas and Easter, although I can get 4 weeks @half price the nursery is meant to be there as a service for students, its attached to the college so quite annoyed with it, ah well, kids'll be eating beans on toast for the next 2 years! Shannon does seem to love the nursery though, not sure what they've been saying, but she came out yesterday telling me 'Oh My God, No Ducks for the bread!' They'd been to park but the ducks didn't turn up lol.

Hope you get all this college stuff sorted!

Off in town soon with dh, will catch up properly soon, promise!!!

Happy 2nd Birthday Alex !

NeedCoffee · 26/09/2009 15:04

Happy Birthday Alex!!

TheLadyEvenstar · 26/09/2009 16:18

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEX !!!!!

WhiteWineAndJaffaCakes · 26/09/2009 17:10

Eva - awful news about your childminding - sorry you've been caught up in the beaurocracy. Hope you manage to find someone who Aaliyah will be happy with.

Lisa - glad you had a good weekend away. Can't wait to see what Ben's cake turns out like!

LES - at least the other boy has been excluded from the school. How's Karl been this week? at your dentist - are you now with somebody better?

Crochet - glad things are going well. M sounds like she's coming on a lot with her being potty trained and chatting away. Hope the background stuff gets sorted soon.

Stefka - how is Dareh now?

NC - wow at Shannon saying such a big sentence! That's really impressive. Annoying about the course costs - will you still be able to do it?

Had a lovely day today at Alex's birthday party. The climbing frame that he's got is fab - all of the children were up and down it - Alex is going to have years of fun with it. The garden looks really good as well - all their hard work has completely transformed it. Will be perfect for bbq's next year .

We're off out for the evening to some friends. They're real wine buffs so it promises to be quite a boozy night. DH has a migraine threatening so he'll be driving - he's taken a pill to stop the onset but wine would make it worse.

LisaLessLumpy · 26/09/2009 19:09

Hi ladies

Just a quickie from me, I have managed to comandeer a laptop for half an hour to leave messages on various boards, our phone lines have been down since wednesday night so that means no internet, and I feel like my right arm has been taken away

Hopefully hope to be back online by Monday but we'll see.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEX, hope you have had a fabulous day, the weather down in Surrey (where we are visiting friends) has been fab. Glad to hear the garden is coming on FT.

To everyone else, I'll catch up when I get back online. Time to get the boys ready for bed now xx

strawberrylace · 26/09/2009 20:35

Happy Birthday Alex! Hope you have enjoyed lots of great presents xx

FloriaTosca · 28/09/2009 12:36

Thanks everyone for Alexs birthday wishes. He had a lovely day... loves his quadro climbing frame and his digger (up until 1am Fri constructing 'tower bridge' in the living room)and his Bob the builder tools (and hard hat) and his wooden trains ..and... and...and...and... suffice to say we had one very spoilt happy little boy who didnt manage to finish opening all his pressies until Suday night. Shame we couldn't use the garden yet (another 4 weeks before we can walk on it)but the kids didnt seem to mind being confined to the house and patio.

Eva shocked at the dreadful parent! You are very restrained not to report her to SS in retaliation. I hope you can manage to forget all the stress and enjoy your Uni course and find a lovely flexible CM Aaliyah can settle with... if it is any consolation Alex has only started settling happily with his gran (mil)for her Fri afternoon stint recently ...it has only taken 5 months

Tles Glad the other boy has been excluded. Lol at 'red leather, yellow leather'Shocked at you old dentist (why????? doesnt make any sense!)glad you have finally got one who knows his job

NC frustrating about the child care and the course fees.. do you not qualify for student loans?(my bro has only just started paying his back...10 yrs after quitting!)

WWAJC Hope the night off to France friends was fabulous ..thank you for coming to the party and for the lovely gift ;Alex hasnt quite got the hang of the game yet...he keeps putting the noses on himself and making the animal noise but he's already having fun with it ... and thanks for the kind words about the garden definately having a bbq next year!

Stefka hope D is ok

crochet Well done M and I hope all else is soon sorted

Alice where are you?

We had Alexs 2yr tests done on Mon last week... HV asked me to write down the words he can say while she got him to thread shoe laces through cotton reels, put tiny pegs in a board, draw circles, run, jump and point to his nose/mouth/ear.... I had written a list of over 250 words before she said "have you got more than 30 on that list?" ...shame she didnt come on Friday when he demonstrated fine motor skills manual dexterity by removing the thermostatic valve from the radiator, language skills by saying "here you are Mummy" as he presented it to me and physicall co-ordination and understanding of consequences as he ran away screaming with glee when I said "you little monkey!"....oh and Daddys reaction to the event? "I told you he had an engineering head on him!"..

OP posts:
NeedCoffee · 28/09/2009 13:08

WWAJC- hope you had a great piss up night with your friends! /Hopefully will be able to still do the course, looking at othewr grants to apply for but you need to have applied for certain ones before you can apply for other certain ones

FT-Glad the party went well, what did HV say about all the words you had written down? Bet Alex is well in advance for a 3 yo! LOL at bveing engineer, good money that

LLL-hope you get sorted properly for a laptop soon!

Dal- naughty naughty, whens your next svcan? If I write anything on your profile that you don't want on in case anyone may see it that you don't want to, just delete it, I wont be offended.

Got DD1 off school today, bad cough and sore throat, I always regret letting her stay off, she's irratating both me and Shannon, thinks we have exciting stuff to do whilst shes at school and not just clean, watch tv and play on comp like we're doing today
