Bugger, forgot to name change!

NeedCoffee · 09/11/2009 21:27

just a quicky so I don't lose you.
WWAJC-Shannons soreness seems to have gone on its own, so not sure what that was. Have stopped using nappies in the daytime today and made her wear pants so we had 2 accidents, if she's bare bum she's ok but we could go on for years like that so have decided to bite the bullet, she's at nursery tomorrow so hope she manages to hold it till we get there on the bus and have packed 6 pairs of pants/tights for nursery, hope they're ok with it.
My bruising has gone too, feel pretty much back to normal apart from going to the toilet and bending down, keep forgetting about it tbh and prob doing too much, am so tired today, waiting for washer to finish then off to bed.

Hope everyone is good

Stefka · 10/11/2009 07:05

Hey all, as usual I am behind. I will have to catch up at the weekend. Been ill in this house, Dareh was being sick and I had to stay home from school but all better now.

Hope all is well and I will try and catch up with you all at the weekend.

xx

FloriaTosca · 10/11/2009 14:09

Hello All!
NC glad you are feeling better...well, enough to forget it until you do too much. I hope it is all forgotten about by the end of the week. Good luck with Shannons first day in knickers I hope she managed to bus ride

Stefka; sorry to hear Dareh has been unwell.. there is a lot of it doing the rounds.. glad all is well now.

It's all very quiet on here again

Latest escapade from his lordship is while the skirting boards are off in the hall there are some holes between the wall and floor and Alex decided that posting the chuck key to Dhs drill down one was a hoot!!!..infact 'hiding' is his favourite game atm....fine if he is the lump under the duvet on my bed not so fine when he fits perfectly between racks of clothes in Asda and you have to part the shirts with accellerated heart rate to find where the giggles are coming from

OP posts:
FloriaTosca · 10/11/2009 14:23

Guess who clicked post?
Who has been teaching him to use a computer? He managed to acccess an application for the partially sighted that reads out everything on screen last week...blooming scared the living daylights out of me having a Stephen Hawking sound alike talking in the living room when I was in the kitchen!!!!

OOppss! NC what I thought I had written was ' I hope it is all forgotten about without repercussions by weekend'...sorry

Inzi and the family will be on their way by now...I hope she has a fabulous time.

Eva...how are things? Are you ok?

WWAJC; We have been full of this virus/cold thing but are both on the mend now. I'll fb you tonight.

Alex has been off his food since this virus thing so I had better get back to force feeding him some lunch...he asked for pasta and chicken too!

OP posts:
NeedCoffee · 10/11/2009 19:29

Hi stefka

FT-hope you got Alex to eat something, nursery say that Shannon has usually finished her lunch before all the other kids and eats loads at snack time, living up to her little piggy name.

She was excellent in her knickers today, no accidents on bus journeys even though it took ages on the way there, a couple of little accidents at nursery but she stopped when she realised apparantly.

Am gutted today as my car failed its MOT and its going to cost £160 just for some new headlights as they're not doing a 'beam patter' apparantly. My brothers work is doing it so its not dodgy, I suppose I should be grateful it didn't cost more but its going to so dent my credit card at the moment, why does everything always come at one, no news from Student Finance yet either grr.

FT is right, where is everyone these days?

NeedCoffee · 10/11/2009 19:30

ooh meant to say FT, lol at Alex knowing how to click post, clever little boy

LisaLessLumpy · 11/11/2009 12:16

Hello everyone, gosh its been quiet the past few days.

NC - Wow at Shannon and the potty training, excellent news Hope you are feeling better in yourself, and BOO at the MOT

After that first attempt on the potty, Ben hasn't been at all interested since, oh well, will wait till Easter when I was originally going to do it

I had a fab weekend pictures on FB all the dieting paid off, but need to get back on it now, had a few very indulgent days of choc and crap and I have put 3lb back on, so really need to nip that back in the bud.

Boys are both sleeping and eating well which is good, but are both very whiney which does my head in, but I guess I shouldn't complain.

DAl - Hope you are ok and your parents are not carrying on being arses.

FT - What a clever little boy you have :D

My little sod decided to take my mobile phone and rub it screen side down on the stone slabs of the fire, it is now full of deep scratches, so cross! Need to wait till March till I get an upgrade too

I can hear mayhem in the kitchen so must dash, but hello to everyone and hope you are all ok

FloriaTosca · 11/11/2009 15:47

LLL I saw your photos. You look fanastic! Well done on losing every last bit of a 'lump'. You and Inzi put me to shame.. I have taken weeks to lose just 1st 2lb and still have to lose another 8lb before I get my BMI out of the 'obese' category and into merely overweight. OOOppss at the mobile,...shouldn't giggle I know but it is so understandable, they are sort of car shaped if you think like a 2yr old... but of a shame that you can't upgrade until March though. I don't know about having a clever little boy but I certainly have a nosey inquisitive little sod one who likes to press buttons

NC Can't believe I didnt comment on your MOT...it never rains but it pours eh?...I wish I had won the eurolottery I'd have got you a new one (or at least given you mine). I hope the funds come through soon. Is the course getting any more intelligable/enjoyable yet? (spelling rubbish I know but you know what I mean)

OP posts:
Stefka · 14/11/2009 13:13

Hello, hope everyone has a nice weekend planned.

Had a look at your pics LLL - you look amazing!

Sorry about the MOT NC - cars are so bloody expensive.

Impressed with all of you who are managing to do potty traning. Dareh is not at all interested yet.

I am still not feeling right. In fact I just to a pregnancy test because I feel sick, but it was negative. DH have started ttc - you are the only people I am telling though! I don't think I actually can get pregnant right now though because I haven't had a period since I gave birth so probably not ovulating. Dareh doesn't want to stop bf so not sure what to do. I am very impatient and now that we have decided I want to be pregnant NOW!

FloriaTosca · 15/11/2009 22:01

Stefka; Sorry you still aren't on top form but Fab news that you are ttc-ing. Totally understand the ds not wanting to stop bfing scenario, mine is exactly the same ...I had just about got him to morning and night (rather than on demand ie. every five minutes)by diverting his attention when he asked and keeping him very busy so he didnt think about it, but that virus/teething thing hit and he is back to "milk please!" all the time...having said that the brief reduction has apparently brought my periods back into their old regularity ...so the peri-menopause I was suspecting hasn't hit yet[yippee!], (shame Dh won't take advantage of my continuing fertility)I hope you are mistaken in suspecting that you aren't ovulating and that you get your BFP very soon.[fingers crossed emoticon]
I wouldn't worry about the lack of interest in potty training...it seems to me that my method has been very long and inaccurate, people who leave it longer seem to have a shorter transition with fewer accidents. Alex still occasionally gets so rapt in whatever he is doing he tells me he needs the toilet too late but his night time lack of need for the toilet is phenominal especially considering how often he comes into our room for milk or "dink, water, please Mummy!"..in 4 months without a nappy on at night we have only had 4 accidents, not bad considering neither of his cousins were out of nappies at night before the age of 5!

Well news here is the hall way is now sugar soaped and scrubbed clean of all traces of wall parer or glue, the ceiling has had the artex scraped off hand has been re-plastered and best of all the hideous cream carpet got thrown out today!!!!...oh and Dh has taken this week off to start painting and intalling the oak floor...Yahoo!!!! I can't wait to have it finished!

Evening ladies, have fallen behind again

Have been nursing a sick dh from sun night to wed as he had a bad virus, well it might have been swine flu but we're not sure and he's better now...

WWAJC - How's it going? Any further forward with deciding on what to do for the best? Don't forget we're all here for you...

Thanks for the advice/sympathy re my parents. I've just decided to pretend like I never received it for now. I still feel guilty about not sending a photo but would feel bad if it caused unwanted attention from them also.

NC - How's the potty training going? Sounds like she was doing really well last time you mentioned it?

How's your, erm, bum? a lot better I hope?!

Total bummer re the mot, we only just manage to afford our car but would be buggered if it needed 'extra' work. Hope you manage to get it sorted.

Floria - Hope Alex is feeling better after his virus. at him 'using' the computer, Dylan manages to bring up things on ours I didn't even know existed!

Wow at you loosing over a stone! I've never even managed more than about 7lb, you're doing great

Sounds like your hall is coming on fabulously! I am slightly though as i'm 24 weeks pg now and our house still needs finishing off since we ran out of time before Dylan was born , we're hoping to get it finished before this one arrives but there never seems to be enough hours in the day or if there are we're too tired what with me being pg and dh's job being so physical

LLL - You look fab in your pics, very glamourous!

I did a little at the thought of your phone being brum brummed along the fireplace but I feel your pain also, it's not fair! Dylan has kept his hands off my new phone so far but DH did accidentally chuck it on the floor outside and it now has several scratches (small ones but annoying none the less). The argument that followed that incident was not pretty

Stefka - VERY exciting that you're ttc, I hope it happens for you soon! . I did hear on a program the other day that 'even though a woman may not be having periods she will still ovulate from time to time' so get to it!

I'm so happy to be over half way with this pregnancy now, it's been harder than the first and more tiring with Dylan to look after. Still not too bad, I just can't wait to meet the little cutie!

I'm currently trying to decide whether to have the swine flu jab. Had an invitation from the docs to have it on wed if I want, have to ring to confirm app... I'm just so confused . I was dead set on not having it but the more I read about the subject, the more confused I become and am now swaying in the direction of maybe having it.

I am asthmatic too which makes me double high risk. I that no one decision is the 'right' one, damned if I do and damned if I don't. Eek.

Went to a baby and toddler nearly new sale on sat. Got a baby swing/cradle thingy for £30, it's a mamas and papas one, sells for £100 new so bargain! Thought it'd help keep number 2 occupied when i'm trying to watch both of them anyone had one of these?? It's like this

Hi to everyone i've missed, hope you're all doing ok x

NeedCoffee · 16/11/2009 09:33

Morning ladies(yawn)
Shannon was in my bed most of the night demanding juice, blanket and whatever else she could think of, I'd only just fallen asleep after having really bad pains that felt like contractions, or maybe bad period pains, so it was the worst night ever that she could choose to play up.
Also, I'm still bleeding after the termination, even though I've continued to take my pill without a break, the blood is very dark, really need to go to GPs.(sorry for too much info!)
Thanks for asking Dal, bum feeling quite a bit better, still horrible to go to the loo though, I was really annoyed with Rich yesterday, felt the urge to go to the loo. and then I really have to go right at that moment, he had just finished in the bathroom, so I went in and told him to go down, so he proceeded to make plop noises, even though I told him if he didn't =piss off go away, I wouldn't be able to go to the toilet or out for the day because I would be too uncomfortable, but he carried on. I was so frustrated and furious with him, I did end up going out, it was his little sisters birthday party, but yesterday evening, after he'd undermined me with Shannon at the party and a few other things, I told him to go back to his own house s he was being a twat. So annoyed with him for being so immature, he's away with the lads next weekend, and always gets like this when he's doing something like that, can't understand whyIts like he regresses.

Potty training going relatively well, she mainly has accidents whilst at home, sat on the couch but doesn't even bother to tell me, luckily, I have a leather couch. The nursery called me to go pick her up as she had a fever and wasn't herself, took her to GP but he just said to do a urine test to hand in today, so will see if she's got an infection.
Something weird with potty training, well not sure if its connected, but it seems to coincide-she sweats like a pig on a night, I first thought she'd wet the bed through her nappy, but no, its sweat. Am wondering if its because the nappy on a night is so much warmer than pants on the day Can't think of any other reason.

Dal-not done enough research re the swine flu jab so not able to give advice, I suppose it'll be like the MMR, you have to weigh up the pros and cons, and go with the least risky. You've just reminded me theres a NTC sale not far from me next weekend, will have to go for a nosy, never been before, is it just baby stuff?

FT-great news you're getting your hallway done, and glad to hear about you not reaching the menopause yet

Stefka-hope you're mistaken and ovulating lots, how about getting one of them ovulating test things?

Re the MOT-I ended up getting some headlights off Ebay for £93 and my brother fitted them on Sat, £40 cheaper than he could get them and hopefully he can repair my power steering pipe things without me having to pay out anymore, then it'll just be £35 for the MOT fee, which isn't too bad I suppose, just wish it'd come at a different time.

FT-no news of grant yet, and completely hate the FD course, trying to do the marketing assignment atm and its had me in tears, I just don't feel like I have the energy to care, am hoping that once I've fully recovered from the op that I will have more 'get up and go' to be able to get into it, also my Accounts course is getting pretty difficult, so have had info overload! Don't know how on earth I'll manage to do next year if I get through this one.

its pretty miserable here today, need to go pick some parcels up from the sorting office, but really don't want to go out. ah well.

TheLadyEvenstar · 16/11/2009 10:59

Hi All

How are you? Anyone want to bring me up to speed?

Things here are great, I am shattered though as for some reason Zachary has stopped sleeping in the evening. He is awake most nights until 11pm it has been since we had the halloween party and then the following week we went to a firework party. BANG went my time with Grant lol.

Karl has settled into his new school brilliantly. He is doing fencing, chess and bike mantainence during his extended school days, which are when he finishes at 4.30 instead of 3.30.

He looks really smart in his new uniform.

Zachary is doing well..seems to stopped growing for a while now (hopeful lol) as he is in 3-4 clothes and a size 8 shoe, a bit of a stop with the growing will be much appreciated lol. he is nowhere near ready for potty training nor showing any interest.

Karl has done a wonderful job of teaching him to be cheeky! If you ask Zachary where something is he replies "In my Butt" wonderful!
He is becoming finiky with food as well, but the last 2 nights has asked for flakes meaning cereal all cereals are flakes! so I have given him weetabix whereas Grant gives him frosties or sugar puffs helpful eh?

Our car was vandalised the other evening someone has come along on a pushbike and knocked the wing mirror off. Thankfully the insurance covers it. Just going to cost us £150 for the excess.

We were going to go to eurodisney next year but have decided to wait until the following year so we can save a bit longer and go for longer.

Oh more exciting, on the 27th December we are going for a meal with my brother who I met up with last year.

Anyway lil man wants a cuddle so am off for one under the duvet as it is tooo cold.

WhiteWineAndJaffaCakes · 16/11/2009 18:34

Wow - I thought I would have missed loads as I've not posted on here for so long - looks like I'm not the only one neglecting mn .

Stefka - sorry Dareh was ill - glad he's better now. Good news on ttc, fingers crossed for you.

NC - well done Shannon being dry in knickers while she's out - hope she's not got an infection and is better soon. Bad news about your car - at least you don't have to pay out loads for labour though. Did you manage to get to GP's? Hope you feel a bit better now after yesterday. Hope Rich apologised to you too!

FT - at Alex installing software for the partially sighted.

LLL - glad you had a great weekend. Fantastic weight loss - well done, you look amazing.

Dal - sympathies with you nursing dh - you must be glad he's better now and that you didn't get it at the same time.

LES - glad things are going well for you and that Karl is settling into his new school.

Anya and I both had flu last week (no idea whether swine or not) - luckily not at the same time though. DH said afterwards that he had it the same time as me, but as I was unable to crawl out of bed he either had a milder version or was being very superhuman to look after Anya.

To answer your question Dal, I'm sure I want to split up with dh - I'm going to try and get to CAB in my lunch hour this week to get some basic legal advice. I'm not going to do anything this side of Christmas though unless we have another big row .

NeedCoffee · 16/11/2009 20:13

Hi Les, glad that Karl is enjoying school, sounds great, you got sorted for the school clothes then?

WWAJC-don't blame you for waiting till after christmas, no point in being more stressed out this time of year than need be and its going to be exhausting sorting things out, no matter how amicable it is(hopefully it will be civilised) And it will also give you time to get things straight in your head about how you want things to be.

I did go to GP, had to wait 90 minutes with theraving crazy misbaving little sods girls messing about and Shannon having to pull all the magazines off the shelf and I was in too much pain to care, so looked like the mother form Hwll.

Anyway doc said he thinks I've got an infection, same as endomitriosis(sp?) and has given me antibiotics and said go back Wed if it doesn't ease up. Not sure what he meant by the same thing really, and I'm hoping to go to college tomorrow so it better have cleared up by morning! Getting pretty sick of my body going against me at the moment huh!

chocolatestar · 17/11/2009 07:08

Back at the dr's yesterday - they think I have IBS but are running some tests. Very fed up of not feeling well.

Floria - it is so hard trying to distract them isn't it! Dareh is very determined and he clearly is not ready to stop. I wish my periods would just come back - never thought I would be saying that!

NC I am really glad you saw your dr, you don't want to be messing about when you are in pain like that. I really hope the meds kick in and get you sorted asap.

Whitewine - good luck at the CAB, I am sorry you are going through this. It is wise to get the information that you need though.

TLES - so, so pleased to hear that school is now going well for Karl! Sounds like he is doing some great stuff - quite fancy a go at fencing myself!

Dal - that is a really hard decision re: the swine flu jab. So much conflicting advice - I don't know what I would do. Are you in contact with lots of people at the moment? How at risk do you think you are? What does your HV or GP say? Go with your gut on this- you are the mummy to be!

Got an inservice day today and am so glad as I am too tired to deal with kids.

FloriaTosca · 17/11/2009 08:17

morning all!

Chocolatestar/stefka;I hope the dr gets you sorted soon.IBS is very debilitating, no wonder you are exhausted.

Dal; A difficult decision re flu jab but fwiw I would have it...it is based on the normal flu jab which has been administered to millions of people and with asthma and being pg so having lowered immunity you are more at risk than most...but I'm no medical proffessional so what do I know?

Needcoffee; You really are going through it atm aren't you? Sending you some getting well, financial pressures easing, study becoming easy, children becoming compliant, partner growing up vibes...and ((((big hugs))))

WWAJC;((((((big hugs))))))) to you too. Anytime you want to meet up/ come over just call.

Talkfirst and SW morning here... to the first, but too much red wine at the 21st we went to on Sat so to the 2nd. Have agood day all.

Ha, forgot to change name back. Ah well. I was thinking I might change my name because I put so much personal info on here but I can't make up my mind....

Managed to keep him off the boob between morning and night. He always wants to feed when I get in from work but managed to distract him.

Tummy a bit better today, sore later on in the day. I hate a scone. Please don't let me be allergic to scones, or chocoalte, or anything fun.

TheLadyEvenstar · 18/11/2009 08:54

Hi Ladies,

I was wondering are we doing a secret santa this year?

NeedCoffee · 18/11/2009 11:17

morning

Stefka-I like the new name Really hope you haven't got IBS, hopefully an intolerance to stuff like sprouts

Ft-whats SW? Lol at too much wine, you have a good night?

LES-yes sounds good, I didn't do it last year, but hope to this year.

Well found out what the pain was over the weekend, turns out the termination 10 weeks ago didn't work properly and I was having labour pains, passed quite a large mass last night, saw GP and he said it was placenta along with other stuff so waiting for a scan to ensure its all gone and if not will need a D&C, am in shock to say the least. Why didn't they warn me this may happen? Want to do some college work but so tired.
Feel bad because my sil and DB came and had girls whilst I went to doc and assumed I've had A m/c, I should have put them straight last night but just didn't know how to, now I feel like I'm deceiving them, don't want them to feel sorry for me when I've brought it on myself. Feel like I should tell them, but then wonder if theirs any point.

TheLadyEvenstar · 18/11/2009 12:27

If everyone is up for the secret santa then if you want to email me
name
address
likes
dislikes

I can pair you up with someone. Unless anyone else wants to do it...

NC fingers crossed that all goes ok for you hunni!

Dalrymps · 18/11/2009 14:18

Just popping in to say OMG NC that must have been so confusing and upsetting for you. I can't believe that happened, they should have investigated earlier. I hope you're ok now, you really have been through it lately, make sure you rest.

Not sure about what to tell your sil, it's a presonal decision and completely up to you. You don't have to tell them if you don't want but equally if it would make you feel better then you should. I think just do what you feel is right.

Big (((hugs))) to you x x x

Back later to catch up properly but dh due home any minute on a late lunch...

NeedCoffee · 18/11/2009 19:34

Thanks Dal, got to wait for scan date to come through, in the next week, an emergency one apparantly.

Am going to leave it for the moment with sil, she hasn't even asked how I am today anyway so guess they're pretty self absorbed with the imminent birth, which she thinks is going hoping to be sooner rather than later even though she has more than 5 weeks left.

LisaLessLumpy · 18/11/2009 19:58

NC - Oh dear, you are going through the mill lately Hope you get sorted soon {hugs}

Les - Am emailing you via facebook, I think its a good idea, I enjoyed it last year :-)
