Scarlet, sorry you're feeling down. Me too, but I'm going to go out delivering NCT newsletters in a minute - C has just finished another snack (still quite a frequent feeder).

Sexonlegs · 29/07/2009 13:55

Hi folks

B was on great form when she came home; really positive and upbeat.

Seems to have disappeared now though!

We went to the zoo this a.m. and all she did was whinge and moan and tell me how horrid I was!!

I just find it all so wearing and un-enjoyable, and it brings my mood down too.

The weather here is ok; a bit of rain, but mainly cloudy, so at least we didn't get wet - another thing to moan about

Hope all those feeling down are ok xx

CaptainDippy · 29/07/2009 19:35

Dippy,no need to cross out demented,A very astute observationThankyou for all your support.I knowe the important stuff is ok[touch wood etc]and I am extraordinarily fortunate.
M has ears again...Grommits are looming.I am willing to try anything but Grommits as I know that they often have to have 'em more than once as they fall out etc.
However,I am collecting 3 massive clip frames and a christmas tree and a few decs off free cycle. We always have real tree but i think bearing in mind money this is fab!I am sorting out all the important stuff
Hope all manage to relax this pm.M still up as he fell asleep late as he had been medicated!xxxxxxxxxxx

hi everyone

elkiedee · 31/07/2009 12:57

Hi everyone - more than 17 hours since the last post, thought I'd interrupt

StealthPolarBear · 31/07/2009 13:26

Hi
I did look this morning but no time to post - have been hvaing a productive day off and now it's lunchtime!

StealthPolarBear · 31/07/2009 13:26

how are D and C elkie? How old is C now??

elkiedee · 31/07/2009 18:22

SPB, productive day off work or off Mumsnet? D and C are fine - C will be 6 months old next week, on Monday, and 26 weeks on Tuesday.

Am feeling disappointed because I applied to do a bf supporters course, the most introductory one, but know there were more applications than places. I'm fairly sure I haven't got on it now but haven't heard for definite that that's the case.

StealthPolarBear · 31/07/2009 19:01

off work - if I'd been off MN I'd have a clean house too!
Wow to C being 6mo - that's flown by!
Wow, I didn't realise that you could be turned down for a peer supporter place...thought they'd jump at the chance. Definitely need to look into that sooner rather than later. Does that mean you'll be top of the list when the next one comes around?

elkiedee · 31/07/2009 19:16

They have 12 places on the course coming up and there's been quite a lot of interest locally. I hope it's less a case of being turned down than that I can do the next one starting in January. I will be back at work and would always have needed to take some time off to do it, but think it would have been quite nice doing the last few weeks of training in my first few weeks back. Also, the next course is just round the corner from home at a new children's centre, I expect the next one will be a bit further away.

StealthPolarBear · 31/07/2009 19:31

Hi all

Luce - that is great news! So pleased for you all

Dooby - hope things work out ok. I'm sure it must be horribly stressful atm

Dippy - have a lovely, lovely holiday

Elkie - hope you do hear about the course one way or the other soon.

I know someone who knows Nutty in RL and she saw her a few weeks ago and said she was really well.

I went to the dentist on thursday and hurrah - didn't have to have tooth out! It's been filled instead and one on the other side will probably have to come out next month but all ok for now

Big girls come back today from my parents - they were so pleased to see B Mil arrives tomorrow for a week so that will be nice then we're off up to Scotland two weeks today! Got an awful lot to do before then at work though - eeek.
