Oh and Dippy well done with diet.I tried one 8 years ago and used to have a slimfast for breakfast which made me ravenous so I would have about 8 slices of toast with butter and chomp steadily throughout the dayNeedless to state I haven't dieted since.I am lucky in that stress makes me lose my appetite!
Hope you are ok.xx

Wow, no-one has been here since me last night

I have been to the gym already this morning since my dh is fishing and my dc's stayed at grandma's last night I haven't had the house completely to myself for a whole night for years!

Have a fab weekend everyone xx

StealthPolarBear · 25/07/2009 16:41

Hi everyone (whoever that might be )
Had a lovely day so far - went to feed the deer at a local park and then back and T has spent the whole afternoon running round naked in the garden splashing water everywhere! He's just come out of the bath and is incredibly tired - hope so anyway as the last few night she has beeen a nightmare going to bed - 9.30 ish. Hoping tonight will break the cycle.
Plus DH off to visit a friend so we have the house to ourselves!

ScarletBandit · 25/07/2009 18:24

My two are back having had a fab time at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Both exhausted, so early baths and bed I think!

SPB, sounds like a good day, hope T sleeps well for you tonight

StealthPolarBear · 25/07/2009 18:29

early bedtimes then see you back on here??

WaspElly · 25/07/2009 23:24

Hi all, I know what you mean about aging family - dh (bless him) has said that we're carting the family up North this Xmas so that we can let my grandfather see the kids as the journey's getting too much even in easy stages.

Just come back from a day on the beach where C had his first go at: jumping out of a rib in too deep water swimming in his bouyancy aid (was hauled into the attending kayak), then sitting in the kayak as it was towed by the rib at Daddy sensible speeds, water fights, having a go at paddling a kayak by himself, incipient hypothermia, closely followed by a quick rub down/getting dressed in mummy's fleece and falling completely asleep through 2 boat transfers home! I think we achieved a good day today for the wee man. Unfortunately T who would initially love to be copying her big brother in all things can't get past the first agonizing 10 mins of salt water sting on her (bad at the moment) eczema legs so she eventually stopped screaming and eventually left my knee and enjoyed herself buiding sandcastles. Poor lamb. It wasn't so bad for me as I did all my messing about in boats in fresh water so didn't really have to go through all that at such an age. I really don't want her put off!
Any ideas folks?

ScarletBandit · 26/07/2009 13:06

WaspElly, what cream do you use on her? I was just thinking that Epaderm is quite greasy, so a good covering of that prior to going in the water may keep some of it out of the eczema iyswim. Just a thought

Sorry SPB, didn't make it back at all last night! Both dc's were in bed by 7.30pm, I had my dinner and was off to bed myself by 9.30pm! Slept like a log and feel much better for it today thankfully.

ScarletBandit · 26/07/2009 13:09

And I have just realised that three years have now passed since the very first due in April 07 thread was started. I posted the first message on July 23rd 2006. It seems like forever ago, and I know that everyone's lives have changed since that day!

StealthPolarBear · 26/07/2009 13:45

Neither did I - combination of falling asleep, network problems and housework!
Wow - 3 years!

Sexonlegs · 26/07/2009 18:14

Evening ladies.

Apologies for absence; school holidays grrrrr! Getting in the way of MN time

Hope everyone is well.

Just busy here with mundane things, although me and K have just spent a lovely weekend with my Mum and Dad. B has gone off to dh's parents for a few days and dh is aay until later tonight.

Am exhausted!

SPB, hope T slept ok for you.

SB, lovely to have a night on your own

Might be back later on. xxx

runnyhabbit · 26/07/2009 18:48

Evening all

Not much to report here. Been tent window shopping - so much to choose from!

Really enjoying the holidays so far Made me realise how much J is growing Am trying to work out how I can cram my working week into 3 days, so I can have 2 full days with the boys. Lucky that we're pretty quiet in August. Although, with the way things are going, I'll be lucky to have a job

Bath time calls - night all xx

StealthPolarBear · 26/07/2009 19:19

hi everyone

You been buying a tent window (???) or eyeing up tents?

Doobydoo · 26/07/2009 19:48

Hi ALL.
Agree re a greasy cream Waspelly..might be worth a go.
Glad hols are going well for all...we have been busy, busy ,busy.
Going to give ds1 a couple of 11+ papers a week to get him used to the way in which they want you to put answers and the timing. He has done loads of stuff and his friend from London is down so they are going to hideous soft play place called Crazy Bongos with their respective Grandmas on wed.
M calls his Grandma 'Bra'
Went to a little farm park the other day and I got bitten by a kid[of the goat variety].So far I would like a goat,a donkey a little pig and some chickens and a couple of ducks
xx

Northernlurker · 26/07/2009 20:32

Hi all

Very busy here and I've had a foul cold as has dd3. Also my fillings are all falling out (ok two of them) and it's back to the dentist for a potential extraction next week Work good but very demanding. Big girls at my mums this week but I've just rung up and now dd1 is poorly Went to friends for lunch and B wouldn't eat anything other than Pringles and then fell asleep on my knee which in turn made me want to go to sleep!

Ok - onwards and upwards

Oooggs - enjoy your trip

Love to all

Popping by quickly, been wokring all morning, now it is time to collect everyone and head off to soft play for pm - yuk to rain!!!!!

"See" you all later!!

THREE YEARS!!!!? Wow!!!!!

Bramshott · 27/07/2009 17:22

Blimey - three years!

Thanks for your texts when I was sitting in a traffic jam the other day CD - quite livened up my afternoon! Trip to grandparents was fine, once we'd got there (5 hours!).

How are the rest of you getting on with the holidays?!? Soft play this morning, and then working whilst barking irritably at the DD's and ignoring the pit-like state of my house this afternoon - ho hum! O has also finally dropped her sleep which is quite wearing!

GM - how are the wedding plans going??
