Hi everyone
bedtime last night was wonderful thanks CD - he fell asleep at 7.45ish which is amazing. Had a long jorney up from seeing a friend early evening tonight so I don't think tonight will be good
How is everyone?

Doobydoo · 27/07/2009 19:46

Hi All.
Good re sleep SPB,really hope he sleeps tonight.
NL,sorry about your gnashers...I hate dentist...how are you with them.
Good to see you Dippy.
Our Irish Terrier has serious womb infection she is on antibs and will be spayed on Monday,it can be risky due to infection so fingers crossed. We would have had her spayed but we were going to let her have pups so it never happened.
Nightmare moneywise here.Tax credits and child benefit still not sorted after 3 months!I cannot keep asking parents for dosh and job situ for dp is pants.Very hard trying to hang on at the moment.
Sorry re whinge but it is exhausting, the worry.
xx

Doobydoo · 27/07/2009 19:48

Bramshott,M seems to have dropped his sleep too[eek]Then he will fall asleep whilst on move at a later time.So abit of adjustment needed

StealthPolarBear · 27/07/2009 19:49

Hope your dog is OK

Northernlurker · 27/07/2009 19:52

Dooby - hope poor dog is ok and that the cash situation sorts itself out soon!

I am very nervous about the dentist - trying not to think about it tbh. Very much a squirmy tummy, wobbly legs, feel faint afterwards type of thing.

OP posts:
Doobydoo · 27/07/2009 19:52

IT IS A WORRY.She is so lovely and abit vague but has soul and also bears a grudge like a true Irish person[dog].I can say that as I have Irish relatives and they do!

Doobydoo · 27/07/2009 19:53

Thanks NL.Good luck with dentist you will feel fantastic when you have done it
My best dentist visit was at the local hospital years ago and I had IV Valium[Fantastic]

StealthPolarBear · 27/07/2009 19:54

lol dooby
Good luck at the dentist NL

Sexonlegs · 27/07/2009 21:55

Evening all.

Sorry I never made it back on yesterday; dh returned home earlier than expected and I was otherwise engaged ! Bloody pita as I was looking forward to mn'ing and fb'ing!!

NL, hope you are feeling better soon. Not swine flu is it??

Dooby, really sorry things are a bit pants your end. Hope things come together soon. xx Hope your doggy is ok too.

All ok here. Worked this a.m. and had K this p.m Didn't do much as the weather is shocking.

So many people not about these days

elkiedee · 28/07/2009 00:09

Wow at 3 years

Hope you feel better soon NL.

LOL at SOL's "otherwise engaged" [raised eyebrows]

We went to my cousin's wedding on Saturday. Ours turned out to be just 2 of at least 19 children there, 8 of whom were related to us. When I realised there were loads of kids, I felt much better about Danny's antics and stopped fretting. He had a good time too.

ScarletBandit · 28/07/2009 10:17

Ooh SOL, you little minx!

Dooby, hope you get things sorted soon. Money worries are awful, I know what it's like and it is so very stressful. Hope your dog is ok too, pets are just as bloody stressful!!
My dog had the same op years ago during an infection and she was fine, so fingers crossed yours will be the same xx

Cloudy here but not raining yet, doesn't look too promising though.
I had to go and buy a new fridge yesterday. My fridge freezer packed up over the weekend so I lost most of the contents of the freezer part. Between my car, the dog and now the fridge it has been a very expensive couple of months.

StealthPolarBear · 28/07/2009 10:22

Hi everyone
Glad you had a good time at the wedding elkie
That's so annoying SB, although in my case it wouldn't matter as I think the contents of our freezer are a load of ice cubes and some bread! Must start cooking...
Need to decide whether to apply for another job...or whether I'm a bit too pregnant

ScarletBandit · 28/07/2009 15:03

Have you seen any jobs you fancy?

CaptainDippy · 28/07/2009 15:22

LOL SPB and you too SOL - you do make my iggle ladies

Your poor dog Dooby Hope she is doing ok. Hope you are ok too

How was dentist NL? Thoughts and Prayers. xx

All ok here, just doing a bit of work hwile MIL has youngest and oldest is in play scheme ... not much time left ... It flies!!!!!

How's is everyone?

CaptainDippy · 28/07/2009 15:22

me giggle, even

Doobydoo · 28/07/2009 19:20

Hi All.
Thanks re me dog.She seems to be responding well to antib's...like ds1 she has never had them so they work extra fastHe had them once for his abscess and they did the trick.
Got a crisis loan today 200 quid. This is a one off and they don't do it again. So now instead of £100 a week we will get £88 a week as we have to pay £12 a week back!
Am looking at poss council housing as there is no way we can pay rent after August rent. This is the worst we have ever been and though long term looks good short term very hard and a I would be surprised if we had council place as I doubt we are priority.
Hope all are ok. Off to tidy now before dp and ds1 get back from TaeKwon.[smmile]

Sexonlegs · 28/07/2009 20:08

Oh Dooby Sounds pantsypoodle. Wish there was something I could do to help.

SPB, what sort of job are you looking for?

Dippy, glad I made you smile xx

SB, how was the Welsh weather today??

All ok here. B due back at any time with in-laws. I feel really stressed about her coming back

Better go, as they are due any minute.

May be back later. xx

Doobydoo · 28/07/2009 21:04

Thanks SOL
Hope it isn't too awful with B.Ds1 being nightmare off and on,and we do clash.I seem to be resorting to sanctions at the moment which is boring!

CaptainDippy · 28/07/2009 21:54

Hope she is ok SOL

Glad dog is responding well Dooby. Vets bill must've hurt!!? I honestly don't know what I can say to ease things for you. Life is really shit sometimes and I guess you just have to count your blessings. I know it isn't great, but at least we have halfway decent benefits system in this country and we can get benefits, council housing and crisis loans, even if it isn't ideal. Even in the USA you have to pay for your healthcare!!!! Sigh. I really hope and pray that stuff gets better; but so glad you have your DP and you are blessed with your lovely children Keep counting those blessings - you always come across as a demented happy and postive person and I admire that very much!! xxxx

ScarletBandit · 29/07/2009 09:27

Morning ladies

Dooby, at least you have got the loan to keep you going for a bit. I know you have to pay it back week on week, but for now you are ok. Any joy on the job front for you or dp?
How is your dog doing? Hope she is better today.
You can and will get through this, even though it may not seem like it just now. Life can be so shit at times. The only reason we have our heads barely above the financial water is the amount of agency work I have been doing

SOL, hope B was ok when she came home last night
How is your mum doing these days? Hope she is ok.

I am miserable. I have been in a down mood for several days now and I can't seem to shift it. It is not that awful black, depressive state I have found myself in before, I just feel down, and I am very snappy with the dc's which I feel guilty for.
We are off to a friend's house for a few hours today so hopefully the adult company will shift my mood somewhat
Weather is crap, absolutely pouring down. So much for the good summer they forecast a while ago!

runnyhabbit · 29/07/2009 10:00

Morning

Have declared today a pj day

SB - I truly believe that this weather has a big effect on our moods - almost like cabin fever, iyswim. Have a nice day x

Dooby - Echo what everyone else has said. And remember we are here for you x

Tent buying has been put on hold - one because the weather is not giving much confidence, and secondly, we've realised that the car is due a service in the next few weeks, and will be about £200 Just a case of prioritise(sp?) I suppose.

ScarletBandit · 29/07/2009 10:10

Morning Runny

Can totally see why the weather may put you off buying a tent for a while!!

I do agree re the weather and my mood. This summer holiday is starting to look very much like last year, and by the end I was so fed up of all the rain. Crap!

ScarletBandit · 29/07/2009 10:11

And enjoy your pj day

elkiedee · 29/07/2009 10:44

Oh Dooby, sorry to hear about money worries.

Am at a bit of a loose end today - there are things I should/could do but nothing planned/no specific groups on and therefore haven't got it together to be ready to leave the house. The dodgy weather is a bit offputting too - think it's not raining now but expect it will again.

CaptainDippy · 29/07/2009 11:10

Popping by with for SB - get out the house 0 that is my advice!

How's you today Dooby?
