OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
PatTheHammer · 21/07/2009 20:32

Ha, am i in the lead yet??? It is really freaky that I happen to be in or go to parts of the country where you guys all live. And I promise I'm not stalking or anything

kittypink · 21/07/2009 20:34

tree I shall have to buy a doll now to walk in my lovely walker!

pat thats so cute! Ava -Rose has just started noticing other babies. Unfortunately she has also discovered the art of pinching! Am glad spinks move went well.

re. baby pouch, it'd be lovely to see my feet again let alone lady garden!

kittypink · 21/07/2009 20:36

x-posts LenniEd AND pat! Sorry!

LenniEd · 21/07/2009 20:39

I think you must be in the lead - I've only met you and Dog, had a narrow miss with MissJ in part due to the dreaded pox. Must organise to go and see Tree.

Lol at the doll walker Kitty!

rrrayray · 21/07/2009 20:42

Hkz / Missj ... Well done with your jumperoo bargains. Esme has Adored hers since day 1..... Hopefully your little ones will too! And miss j - seriously, who buys jeans for £100 for themselves let alone their babies?! I don't DO expensive jeans!!!!

Peach ...jumperoos are brilliant.

Pat Zach sounds like SOoo much fun to watch eat.

Kitty lol @ doll walker. ... Sure it'll come in handy in time to come...... ??!?

Dog Temp still high? Thinking of you.

My dad's panic about cold like symptoms was just that, panic, as he is fine today, and Esme is fine too. But, i kept taking her temp through the morning just incase anything was going to kick off to nip it in the bud.

Met NCT girls and babies today. Lovely. Wont be long before they are REALLY playing together. Time flies.

missjackson · 21/07/2009 20:51

I've met three of you - hkz, elkie and pat - does that mean I'm in the lead?! I think so! Woo-hoo!

PatTheHammer · 21/07/2009 20:56

ray glad Esme's ok and your dad is better. Thing is with NCT meet-ups is we found as the kids get bigger you need much more space as they run around/fight/make lots of noise so they only ever happen in the summer now. Nobody's is brave enough to have it at home or has a house big enough, especially as most are on their second or third baby now!

kitty Pinching is one of zach's delightful games. He pinched his little cousins leg today and left a big fat mark. I was horrified as bro and SIL are still a bit PFB, but they were not too bothered.

lenni could have been in the lead by a mile if I had not missed dog by one day. Oh, MissJ has also met 3 of us i think. Lets keep pushing this big meet-up plan. Warwick/cheltenham or midlands somewhere. or is it in Bali in a spa now

kittypink · 21/07/2009 21:06

rrrayray pleased Esme and your Dad are fine. nct meet up sounds lovely. time does indeed fly.

I have met none of you, does that mean I lose?

Bali sounds good!

kittypink · 21/07/2009 21:08

pat am glad it's not just A-R that pinches. Babies everywhere look out!

PatTheHammer · 21/07/2009 21:08

Kitty, where do you live? I'm pretty sure that wherever it is i either have a relative there or am going on holiday nearby....hee-hee!

PatTheHammer · 21/07/2009 21:10

Oh, actually aren't you up north? Don't have any rellies up there. Never mind Tree and lenni also up north i think?

rrrayray · 21/07/2009 21:23

kitty i haven't met anyone either!

missj Check you out miss sociable!

Pat Ah no... don't say that about the NCT meet ups! Am loving meeting up with the girls. I don't think it'll be long before one of them is pregnant again those, as 2 were via IVF and have a few embryos still frozen- and they have time limits on them. They are also all alot older than me, or should i say i'm on the young side?! Either way, i think some of them feel like they should be getting on with No.2 if they are to have one.

Oh, and Esme doesn't pinch, but she doesn't half scratch and is an expert at hair pulling.

So........is there a plan for a mass meet up? I think its a brilliant idea. I'm there - will bells and whistles on! We should plot us all on a map & find the middle!

treedelivery · 21/07/2009 21:27

I'm north east yorkshire, edge of nowhere and
40 miles from a motorway.

Hats miseerable this eve. Brings back old times

kittypink · 21/07/2009 21:33

rrrayray glad its not me being social outcast!

Pat I am indeed. am in Sunny Sheffield.

Meeting up would be great. I will be there so long as there is a train to take me that doesnt cost a million quid for half a seat!

will have to be tight wad for a while to make up for ebay blunder!

kittypink · 21/07/2009 21:34

tree we could meet in a field near you! sorry to hear hattie isn't doing so well.

MissJ had a little chuckle to myself at my reaidng skills as I read lady garden and something burning down below to all go together!
Moose I have a psychic Irish mother and your email sent a chill down my spine. Hope you feel happier now. My mum can smell when people are ill, very useful with all the swine flu about. I think I should recommend her services to the government.
I too have met no one. Surely someone else must be in London? Pat I'm in Chelt for Mon/Tues next week if you are around? get me on the list!
S miserable all day for mum so must be something in the air. Hoping for a tooth any day now..
Its amazing how greedy you gte so quickly. If someone had offered me 5am waking a few weeks ago I would have bitten their hand off but now I want more!

kittypink · 21/07/2009 21:45

I'm off! going to bed that is, not slowly going mouldy.

totally wiped out today. hoping for more sleep tonight.

I will make a wish for sleep for all off us!

goodnight ladies.

treedelivery · 21/07/2009 21:46

That's so true Qumps!

I had a chance to meet Dog but I blew it so now feel pants. A northern meetup might be a goer though - Leeds? Is that vaugley central, it is on the train lines so that is always a help. It's £28 for me return. Thats a good way to judge if the distance is equal.

If northern and in cars, we could meet at my mums. She has a great garden and chickens for the babies/older children to terrorise look at

hongkongzoe · 21/07/2009 21:47

oh arse! I spent about 45 m ins catching up and writing a post and thought I had posted but the mumsnet server went down...arghhhhhhhhh. Hello everyone! Will try again!

Tree I will be in Newcastle firist week of Sept if you or anyone else is about then... I really want to go to that huge sculpture park we always drive past on the M1.... Sorry Hats is miserable...too much Jumperoo? Have just packed up that baby seat for the table (sorry about the dust...its been under the bed, have given it a once over though) I was looking at it thinking that if I put Jude in it and attached it to the table the table would undoubtably flip over

Ray Glad DD and DF got the all clear.

Dog How is Isla doing?

Evening pat the stalker hammer...! So not getting ready for DC3 after seeing your nephew then? I'm feeling broody again...despite telling myself, as I walked from the front room to the bedroom after giving birth...that really fucking hurt...don't ever do it again under any circumstances! Hmmmm...one more..wouldn't hurt that much...

Kitty LOL at buying a dolls walker.

Am a bit and at the vaginal muscle envy...I remember coming back to the house after the smear grinning from ear to ear telling DP whatthe nurse had said... oh dear, where did my life go?

Moose That sounds a bit spooky. I n ever used to be particularly convinced when people talked of spirits and all that but... The night my mum died, after a long illness, I was going to bed around midnight and was shattered as DD was a tiny baby at the time, I was just drifting off to sleep when I felt this amazing warm rush of energy go right thorugh me, I sat bolt upright and just knew my mum had just died. Sure enough the phone rang a little later saying she had died at the time I felt this amazing warmth. Its made me think that there is something...we all create so much energy it has to go somewhere...

MissJ I've met You, Elkie and Fourlittlefeet...so we're neck and neck

Am feeling pants tonight, sore throat, funny head, achey neck....am praying its just a cold, I really dont want SF to bugger up our wedding...I'd have to get married via skype link up fromt he registry office to my bedroom...very unglam.

Achoooo!!!!!!!!

hongkongzoe · 21/07/2009 21:50

Qumps I'm in East London if you ever find yourself this way!

OP posts:
rrrayray · 21/07/2009 21:50

Tree I too live in the sticks, main roads (A12) only 15 mins or so away, but motorways (M25) your talking a good 40 miles our end too! Have you always been a country bumpkin? I grew up on the edge of a village, and SWORE as an adult i'd live in the city. I lived in Oxford Through uni, but absolutely LOVE living where we do now. We have a house to our left (our house is actually built in their garden- some Garden they must have had) but fields to front and back, and i LOVE it! Mmmmm!!

Dog Glad to hear its teeth. Does anyone have Sophie Giraffe one of my friends recommended it. Been around for years, plastic giraffe toy thing, great for teething. Have just ordered one for Esme!

Qumps as note to Tree Suggests, not in London, But... Am only about 40 mins on train from London. Don't come in as much as i used to though- obviously with LO in Tow!

I wonder where would be a good place for all to meet. As sounds like some will go by Public Transport, so has to be easily Accessible. Anyone? Ideas?

LenniEd · 21/07/2009 22:02

Dog come to Leeds!!! I went to uni there and is still my second home. Right let's get this sorted. [dons teacher voice] Elkie around end of Aug/Sept so could maybe coordinate with then??

As for general meet up - Midlands area prob best as not unbearable for us northerners and pretty well connected to London transport wise. Moose/EPPM/Pat all around Cheltenham/Solihull type area and MissJ a couple of hours West of there so do-able for her too. Birmingham has a lovely xmas market if we don't manage to sort anything before then!
