June 2007 They're (almost all) two which makes them hard work in a whole new range of ways. But just as adorable!

Unable to sleep thought I'd see what had been going on and saw we were due a new thread. Hope this is OK?

I am a bit sweaty, but not too bad. Dp is terrible in the heat, you wouldn't think he spent years living in Brisbane!

I have loads of 2-3 girls. I've just cleared it out of dd's drawers, so it is ready to go! I have shitloads of boys 9-12 months, but mostly winter stuff...long trousers, jeans, jumpers etc. What are you after?

Rialentless · 01/07/2009 23:04

I have 2 application forms, I just have to decide what to do with them...

night all

BTW daisy, it's cooler on the coast now, it'll be inland soon

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 01/07/2009 23:05

Blimey ria! Are the kids on the at risk register?

Rialentless · 02/07/2009 09:23

I don't know holly. Probably not TBH, the mother looks a bit rough (judgey judgey) but is from a low-level local underworld type family (there is rumour that her dad deals drugs in town but I don't know if that's true), but they do their grocery shopping at M&S... I think the primary school at least are pretty hot on spotting signs though.

LackaDAISYcal · 02/07/2009 09:35

family sounds horrible ria; poor kids

I think DD, and now bumble, have hand foot and mouth. We've been up half the night with a poorly boy and DD has been off colour for a few days with a bit of a temp. Noticed blisters on her toes yesterday and thought her shoes had been rubbing as she has been sockless, but there are more today and she didn't have shoes on at all yesterday. she has a couple on her wrists/heel of her hand and one on her tongue (she won't open her mouth to let me have a look inside). She's also not been eating which I thought was the heat. bumble now appears to be following the same train of symptoms starting with the temp and refusing to feed.

Is there any point going to the docs with it?

Rialentless · 02/07/2009 09:45

poor things daisy. I don't know about GPs, is it a viral thing?

BORED! DH came home at 11 last night, we appear not to be speaking as such. He is having a bath ahaving played Wii for 30 mins (OK, I have been on the PC since 9, but I have ebay to check, jobs to search for, mnet to catch up on...)

LittleMissNorty · 02/07/2009 09:55

Oh poor little things Daisy....is it viral? Are they drinking? Is calpol keeping their temp down? That's pretty important in this weather. Doesn't matter about not eating as long as they're drinking.

I think DD is getting some more teeth right at the back....she's been chewing on her fingers and dribbling....haven't had that for AGES....and I'm pretty sure I can see one under her gum - is this about the right age?

Chuffed about the dress . I do like snipers!!

I'm knackered....got up for a wee at 5am and as all the bedroom doors are open, I think I woke up DS....who thought it was time to get up and have a feed

TheNatty · 02/07/2009 10:08

bad day yesterday

they have moved DH operation to the 12th (next weekend) and my mum has said as dad has a week off work that week they wont come down and help as they want to go away (even tho they have nothing booked yet)

so i have potentially got two toddlers and a newborn to look after for 4 days next week.

either that or two toddlers in this heat, ready to drop, and possibly labouring on my own.

feeling a bit sorry for myself really.

but it was either that or no operation till september and i cannot put up with DH whinging for that long.

TheNatty · 02/07/2009 10:13

opps missed that daisy, took me an hour to catch up on thread and you had posted in the meantime!

sorry to hear you DC are poorly, are you taking them to the gp?

i have found that they only way to get ellen temperature down this week due to the heat making it worse has been giving calpol and ibuprofen at the same time.
speaking of which she is still running a temp, i feel so sorry for her

LackaDAISYcal · 02/07/2009 10:55

At least the op will be over and done with sooner rather than later Natty. Arse to your folks though for not coming to help. fingers crossed this bub isn't in too much of a rush to get here!

I've made an appointment for both of them later this afternoon, although reading up on it there isn't anything they can do. I have finally got bumble off to sleep; he has only slept for about 10 hours in the last 24 and is just ragged. DD is a bit grumpy but not too bad; her feet are breaking out all over now though and she won't let me look in her mouth.

Fury's DS had it recently didn't he?

I want to sleep as three hours in the last 24 isn't good either!!

Why do these things happen when you are on your own with them?

HellHathNoFury · 02/07/2009 11:06

Daisy save your energy and cancel the appt if you like... there is nothing they can do.

If they are off their food, running a temp, with mini blisters on hands, feet and maybe mouth, then yes HFM. And no there is nothing can be done aside from calpol!

Natty fingers crossed you don't go into labour!!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 02/07/2009 11:47

Yes, HFM= viral, so nothing to be done. Sorry for you and DD and bumble though Daisy

Been shopping for bribes treats and distractions for the car. Some little bags of dried fruit plus a dolly and pack of baby accessories for it And a necklace and hair grips which make her look very grown up (well still like a 2 year old, not like she's 18 or anything )

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 02/07/2009 11:48

Sorry, meant to blow a big wet raspberry at Natty's folks for not coming to help!

Rialentless · 02/07/2009 11:59

jammy. Is this the wedding you're doing photos at?

Pah to your mum natty, I would lend you mine but it's too far away. How incapacitated will your DH be after his Op? Can you get any help from your surestart centre?

Rialentless · 02/07/2009 12:15

can I aske a favour of you intrepid ebayers who are buying kids clothes? I am looking for something like this fpr baggins, but age 2-3. If you spot anything please shout!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 02/07/2009 12:36

Not this wedding Ria. I will be taking plenty of photos at this one, but just as a guest/to practice. The one I am doing the photos at is July 25th.

Sputnik · 02/07/2009 13:44

I wish someone would invite me to a wedding!
Ria I think that dress would look good with a wrap or shawl thingy as opposed to jacket, unless it's actually cold.

To my valued customers: , your stuff is on it's way, please excuse the amateurish packaging, I have run out of address labels and the mailers I ordered haven't arrived yet so I am recycling.

LackaDAISYcal · 02/07/2009 14:15

what service sputnik, thanks ....and i'm all for a bit of recycled packaging!

LittleMissNorty · 02/07/2009 14:50

. I do recycled packaging as well...thanks.

DD is playing on the sand table and paddling pool......fun!

Rialentless · 02/07/2009 15:32

thanks sputnik. I hate buying clothes for me. Chances are I won't buy it anyway, but it's what I aspire to.

Rialentless · 02/07/2009 15:38

am off to do the veg for our roast beef and yorkshire puddings - why don't I have these ideas in winter when we would appreciate it.

the kids are getting wet again in the garden.

LackaDAISYcal · 02/07/2009 15:40

anyone seen this

still some tickets up for grabs.

Rialentless · 02/07/2009 15:51

liking this. wish I hadn't looked!

LackaDAISYcal · 02/07/2009 16:05

ooooh that's lovely Ria. I'd go for that over the La redoute one!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 02/07/2009 17:12

Yes, the redoubt one was nice, but that Monsoon one is lovely!
