June 2007 They're (almost all) two which makes them hard work in a whole new range of ways. But just as adorable!

Unable to sleep thought I'd see what had been going on and saw we were due a new thread. Hope this is OK?

You'll all be complaining about the bloody rain next week

LittleMissNorty · 01/07/2009 16:05

Hello Sputnik . Fingers crossed for DS....when do you get the results? Have to got to have insoles made for him?

Don't know how you cope with the weather out there I really don't. I could only emigrate to a cold country I think

Blimey, those explanations were a bit confusing on your thread. Its when someone has put in 2 bids, you know they're very interested and you get someone else to bid it up

Rialentless · 01/07/2009 16:48

DH and I have had a row. He finally got some of the owed money sorted, but they have paid it in to his account by cheque, so another 5 days before he can see any of it (and another 5 days where I have to bail him out with diesel money and stuff, for him to go to work and probably not get paid again). Am afraid I lost any empathy I have and left baggins with him while I went out to collect an application form for me, having said a couple of things I maybe shouldn't have.

Am following your lead tonight Natty and the kids and I are having a picnic tea in the garden. Sod cooking roast beef in this heat.

Sputnik · 01/07/2009 16:48

Well the doc said to come back in september as he can't wear the insoles with sandals, and to do the x-rays and scan in the meantime. Luckily he is insured through DH's work.

Not sure it would be worth the hassle for a pair of boys mini boden trousers, just that I'd be annoyed if they went for 99p if I knew someone was happy to pay more, just psychological I suppose. Hopefully someone else will bid in the next 3 hours!

LackaDAISYcal · 01/07/2009 17:02

I remember you talking about DS's rib a while ago sputnik. fingers crossed he doesn't need an op. And sorry to hear he needs insoles; does it bother him at all? I have a difference in my leg lengths so that trouser lengths are noticable and it adds to my dodgy back and pelvis issues, but it didn't bother me until I had the DC.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 01/07/2009 17:05

Hope DS is OK Sputnik. At least he isn't likely to go the same route as Daisy and find it gets worse when he has children

OP posts:
Rialentless · 01/07/2009 17:11

baggins has a sticky out bit at the bottom of his ribs in the middle too.

Sputnik · 01/07/2009 17:15

Hopefully no op, although I guess they wouldn't have to open up too much. The leg is just slightly twisted outwards, I never noticed it tbh so hopefully not serious.

I sometimes wonder what would emerge if I got myself properly looked at as my body is pretty lopsided and I've had back and pelvis issues too. When we move to Rome I'll probably go and see someone.

Have answered you on other thread Daisy

Sputnik · 01/07/2009 17:17

Oh really Ria? You mean between the ribs or on one side (or both)? Did you mention it to anyone?

Hope you make it up with DH btw.

Rialentless · 01/07/2009 17:50

it's kind of in the middle (where the ribs go down from), I did ask the HV when he was tiny and she said she wasn't qualified to say, might be cartelidge (sp?). Have never asked the GP as it doesn't seem to bother him, I think there's only me noticed it TBH.

I'm sure we'll make it up (depends what sort of mood he's in later) I aren't usually so vocally cross, just had enough this week. (and I feel like it's time he got a reality check about being at home too, then maybe he wouldn't be so quick to give in to the pain at work - I know that is incredibly heartless, but I can't be brief and explain what I mean, so I'll stick with that)

Have 2 pushchairs drying in the garden (1 to keep, one for ebay) and am bored. Off to see DM in a bit, but I made a mistake and let her in on how cross I was earlier

LackaDAISYcal · 01/07/2009 18:36

sputnik, how did you take such good pics for your ebay auctions?

I've made a couple of bids.....at least they aren't going for 99p now and fingers crossed I win em both

I am going to list some of bumbles stuff this evening I think, and some maternity bits and pieces I have lying around. Are they better in a bundle or separately?

We have had a picnic tea in the garden; pizza and salads for the DC and chicken and salads for me followed by mini cornettos and washed down with fizzy blackcurrant juice (would have preferred mine to be a nice chilled rose, but I'll enjoy that more once the DC are in bed)

I was leaning on the grass in the garden and my arm has come up in a red itchy rash

LackaDAISYcal · 01/07/2009 18:37

and bumble is still miserable

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 01/07/2009 19:15

Hope you and DH are OK Ria.

Picnic tea sounds nice Daisy. We have burgers to cook, but not sure if we have buns in but we both feel it is too hot for potato wedges. So tea is up in the air at the moment. And I have work to do - am officially NOT sick

MIL is wonderful, but annoyingly so. We are going with them to St Andrews on Sat, staying over in hotel. She told me this afternoon that she had a pint of frozen milk and a little cereal that could be taken up in a cool bag so that we could have somthing in the room ready for Jamlet if she wanted breakfast before the hotel started serving. Well great, now I feel that I'm useless because I hadn't thought of that - yet. Yes, of course I would have thought about all the stuff we need for her tomorrow. But no, you can't give me a chance to do it can you, or even ask, "do you think you might need anything...?" No you have to tell me that you have thought about it and decided what is best! Sorry rant over! (Better vented here than in MIL's direction and all that.)

OP posts:
JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 01/07/2009 19:17

(For the record I did say great, thank you, that's a good idea! But couldn't resist telling her that cereal might not be a good idea as it can be a bit hit and miss whether she'll eat it depending on her mood, and that something bread based would be much better to take as something to tide her over until breakfast proper is served.)

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 01/07/2009 20:23

aaaargh my fucking children

every single one of them is awake; one is whinging (bumble) and the other two are actually crying. I am sick running up and downstairs and just want them all to SHUT UP NOW....aaaarrrgggghhhhh. why does this always always happen when I'm on my own with them?????

and DH not back till after bedtime tomorrow so I have it all to happen again tomorrow.

But I won Sputnik's auction for the boden trousers

LackaDAISYcal · 01/07/2009 20:25

sorry jammy. My MIL is a bit like that as well; always manages to make me feel bad for thinking of things I didn't.

I'm sure she doesn't mean anything bad by it though; that's your MIL as well as mine.

I'm going to kill DD; she is keeping the whingy one awake. and is just shouting mummy mummy mummy over and over again.

Rialentless · 01/07/2009 20:31

ah that's probably DMs area here (thank goodness seeing as I seem to have developed a complete inability to organise anything) MIL would have made him a chip butty/not thought he needed feeding at all

DM is on my side in my argument, but so much so I feel defensive

bedtime.

Sputnik · 01/07/2009 20:35

Know exactly what you mean Jammy, it's when your role is encroached on that it gets annoying.

Daisy you are a star!
Hope you get the t-shirt too

Re photos, I am a dab hand with photoshop! Only touched the background though not the stains.

LackaDAISYcal · 01/07/2009 20:45

sputnik.

I now have two of my three children downstairs . Bumble just wont sleep, teething. DS1, crying because he is too sweaty and bleating on about wanting an apple as someone at school told him it would hasten his wobbly tooth

I just want to chill and drink wine

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 01/07/2009 20:47

My mum is a bit like that, but only because she knows I'm a bit crap! She does make me feel bad sometimes for being so disorganised, but I just tell her to piss off!! I guess you can't really do that to a MIL!

Daisy, I'm so with you. My ds didn't sleep today, so fell asleep at 6 and is now wide awake. I have had about enough of him tbh. He is a right pita. We went to the PO and to Boots before picking dd up and he climbed out of the pushchair in the PO and in Boots and had pressed the door button and was on the street before I caught him. He got out walking up the road to school and kicked up such a fuss getting back in that I felt like slapping him. Dd wasn't this difficult! Hopefully it means he will be an easy teenager

LackaDAISYcal · 01/07/2009 20:53

I;m not sure it will make him a good teenager holly; I think that's just an urban myth people tell you to try and cheer you up!

I just know mine are going to be trouble all their lives!

bumble keeps nodding off next to me and then starting awake. DS1 is refusing to go to bed.

Sputnik · 01/07/2009 20:53

DS is like that too, if you let him loose in public places he heads straight for the exit!

Sputnik · 01/07/2009 20:54

Bribe him Daisy

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 01/07/2009 21:03

Thanks daisy ! I guess you are right though, mine are trouble and I think will always be. At least it makes life a bit interesting, wouldn't it be boring if they were good all the time?!

Yep sputnik, straight for the exits! He wants to walk, but he can't fucking behave himself, so he stays in the pushchair and screams. It makes for a very enjoyable outing!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 01/07/2009 21:31

Why is it that when I put something on ebay for £160, or best offer, people offer me £100?! Fucking retards!

I am feeling very cranky today, have you guessed ?!
