June 2007 They're (almost all) two which makes them hard work in a whole new range of ways. But just as adorable!

Unable to sleep thought I'd see what had been going on and saw we were due a new thread. Hope this is OK?

can you complain and get your money back jammy?

must go to bed, sore eyes, feel sick, DS1 also feeling sick

night all.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 15/07/2009 22:56

Will try that tomorrow Ria, I am too tired to do it now.

I have found a knitting circle nearby...is that too sad?

bumper, sorry about DD's sick bug. All I can think is that it's a nursery thing. I seem to remember DS1 getting everything going after he started nursery. Maybe have a word with her nursery about their hygiene practices?

I've been doing more ebay listings tonight. It is still a novelty and hasn't reached boredome proportions yet!

Ria, sorry about your virus....will your AV software not sort it? Do you know the name of it? I had one of the big viruses a few years ago and had to jump through hoops to get it off the machine as everytime I tried to read what to do it would just shut down randomly.....took me ages to read the "cure". If you know it's name, text me, I'll look up the solution and call you back with it if you like!

LackaDAISYcal · 15/07/2009 23:58

Bumper.....an example of the stuff I get sent from Knitting Daily. Seems right up your street!

Bumperslucious · 16/07/2009 09:00

That's not sad daisy, I've booked Friday off work so I can go to my knitting group! DD seems ok this morning so fingers crossed she can go to nursery tomorrow.

I don't think it is nursery daisy as she only goes one day a week, and isn't sick straight after - usually on the days before she has to go

Anyway, you can go ahead and give me today's bad mother of the day award. AS you know we are TTC, but events are conspiring against us what with my tonsititis and the fact that we are going away to stay with family this weekend and I'm pretty sure that is when I am ovulating. So this morning we put DD in her cot with the laptop on the chest of drawers with winne the pooh while had a quite go at TTC. That's really bad right?

Ria that looks really exciting, hope DS1 is ok. All the excitement of his day perhaps?

Bumperslucious · 16/07/2009 09:02

Thanks for the link daisy btw. Can you get crochet patterns?

TheNatty · 16/07/2009 09:10

LMAO bumper.. we do that regulary here and we are not even TTC!

good luck with it this month i remember how stressful it all can be x

well WHAT a night here folks, both toddlers down and ASLEEP by 8pm, and charlie in bed and ASLEEP by 10pm..

no one woke up till 4am

ive had like 5 hours uninterupted sleep

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/07/2009 09:24

yay for sleep Natty

I've just audited my freezer, and I reckon we have 65 main meals for 2 people in there And yes, all bought at reduced to clear prices! Plus there is a selection of frozen veg, some ice cream things, some frozen fruit and some jamlet sized bits stashed away!

OP posts:
JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/07/2009 09:26

I'm not about the laptop Bumper. I am about TTC with tonsilitis! Heck, I didn't even have tonsilitis and there is no way I could have contemplated doing that the other week. You're obviously made of stronger stuff!!

OK, would anyone be interested in meeting up in August? I can only do Weds/Thurs/Fri and I'd prefer the 5th, 6th, 7th, 12th, 14th, 21st or 27th. I'd really rather avoid the 13th, 19th, 20th, 26th and 28th.

And while I'm putting in my personal preferences I would love to go here or as we had such a good time at the science museum recently I'd be very happy to go there, or also in central London we want to go here.

Any takers?

me me!!

Bumperslucious · 16/07/2009 10:26

What can I say, I'm tenacious! Believe me only the desire to TTC and the obsessive need to do it within my time scale would make me do it under these circumstance. Normally it would be a good excuse not to!

Glad you got a decent sleep Natty.

Rialentless · 16/07/2009 12:08

wasn't there a thread a while back about tubes of smarties and Saturday morning cartoons? not at all bumper. you go girl!

thanks daisy. I dn't know what it was now, and the balloon things have gone - last night there was a yellow shieldy thing with an exclamation mark came up and said malicious software had been removed, so maybe it's better?

yay for sleep natty, and the contents of your freezer jammy.

about meet-up.

FrazzledFairyFay · 16/07/2009 13:07

Bumper

Jammy, I'd be up for a meet-up. I could get to either of those places

TheNatty · 16/07/2009 14:19

where are you all today? anyone would have thought it was a weekend!

Sputnik · 16/07/2009 15:43

I am here, it's really hot.
My children are sitting quietly on the floor, playing together with blocks!!! What the hell is going on? I'll be baking cupcakes in my Cath Kidson pinny next.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/07/2009 15:46

There must be something in the air Sputnik. A friend brought some tops round to give to Jamlet, and her DS and Jamlet played for a whole half hour without squabbling!

Hello

Had a mad couple of days. Went to the dentist and survived. DD was brilliant, sat in the "magic chair" by herself and opened her mouth and allowed him to put the mirror in her mouth. She was a bit about it all but cheered up when she got a sticker (from him) and a new book (from me) for being good. I deserved a G&T for keeping (relatively) calm throughout.

Done rather a lot of shopping as well....not a great idea when all I'm earning atm is SMP only. Ah well....DS gone up to 6-9 month size so that was my excuse. Yesterday he'd puked down every outfit I'd taken out and marched him across town in a vest only (and it was CHILLY) to BHS to buy a new outfit to save me going home. Even then he came home in one of his 3 year old cousins T-shirts cos he'd puked over his new outfit as well!

Good luck with the TTC Bumper....blimey, I'm far to knackered for all that sort of thing in the mornings these days!

Much as I'd love a meet-up, I think my nerves would only let me do something I could drive to. Still waiting for another surgery date which will hopefully be in August sometime as well.

Had loads of washing today and I just couldn't be bothered to spend ages hanging it all outside (I am very fussy about the way I hang things), so just bunged it in the dryer....lazy or what (mustn't tell DH, he'll go nuts about electric bill!). Its lovely weather as well, but sod it!

Jammy - 65 meals . I've got a huge chest freezer but haven't got that amount. Its currently full of bread and ice-cream. When I had that huge clear-out the other week and had to sling loads of stuff, I actually made a list of what I've got . Can't reach some of it though without almost climbing in - even with steps!

Got 2 lots of M&B testing - YAY!

Phew - long post for me!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/07/2009 15:56

Could you drive to the bracknell place Norty (trying to remember where you're based but brain failing due to lack of lunch)?

I got some M&B testing too

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 16/07/2009 15:57

what you doing Norty and Jammy?

Sputnik · 16/07/2009 15:59

Well done with the dentist Norty. It's funny, everyone has their things: I've no problem with dentists at all but the thought of driving in London gives me the heebie jeebies.

Mind you I am going to have to confront the reality of driving in Rome very soon, hope someone will give me a sticker.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/07/2009 16:19

Yes, I just realised that I had assumed driving = not London as I wouldn't want to drive in London either.

Skincare Daisy.

OP posts:
LittleMissNorty · 16/07/2009 16:23

I'm doing weaning and bottle feeding. Got a few sterilizers coming my way!

Holly - I'll also be interested in any group 1 car seats you've got going after the testing. DS is nearly 19lb now and too bloody heavy to carry around in his car seat.

Where is Bracknell Jammy? I'm about 25-30 mins from the southern part of the M25. I have to say the thought of 2 kids, all the crap I'd have to take, a double buggy and public transport terrifies me. I can cope with a car, but not a train / bus / tube. .

Whe are you moving Sputnik? Driving in london is fine - as long as you know which lane you want to be in, and don't take any shit off of anyone else (although I did have someone jump out of his car once and thump on my windscreen after I called him a fucking wanker.....I only do that when I'm moving these days - never in a traffic jam )

LackaDAISYcal · 16/07/2009 16:28

...for M&B obviously!

and hello! I have lurked but not posted today as one or other of my DC has been demanding attention, but I forgot that for a minute.

Big up bumper for your TTC efforts

LackaDAISYcal · 16/07/2009 16:31

see....you had already answered by the time I got to post the question I started asking half an hour ago!

I did skincare last year Jammy.....we are still using up some of it as we got the whole Halos and Horns, Beaming baby organic and J&J bedtime ranges, and some Avent stuff as well
