Miamla · 27/06/2009 07:27

strangely enough i think everyone managed to guess it was you dizz from all the inane dribble wise words you've been spouting!

Miamla · 27/06/2009 07:29

What?? you're driving to pick up her cake?? why are you driving to your oven? your kitchen must be huuuuuuuuge!

dizzydixies · 27/06/2009 07:30

I know am on inanae drivel mode this morning, can't seem to stop - poor DH will nod, smile, kiss me on the forehead and disappear off to bed bless him!

the kitchen is in the east wing of the house so I shall have driver take me over at about lunchtime

dizzydixies · 27/06/2009 07:34

sambo have look here and here for some ideas, the latter normally being the better source of inspiration in my opinion

hotterpotter · 27/06/2009 09:22

LOL Dizzy you had 'em in a tizzy with your name-changing shenanigans last night There are some lovely recipes on that second link, mmmm (although all would be improved with a couple of sausages or a chop on the plate too )

Feeling blessed by a 6.50 wake up after all the horror stories on here this morning No1 I hope you were eating cupcakes too, they are a very good consolation to early rising. You also made me LOL about exclamation marks and not being common, too many makes me feel like my MIL so I try and show restraint...

Just been fb'd by a girl who was my best friend aged 16 but I have not seen since I was 18 She tried to track me down on friend reunited but i never responded, so now I have accepted her as my friend again. Turns out she is still good friends with my first true love. Oh I hope I have done the right thing going back after all this time...

House a shit-tip again, better get it tidied as grandmas coming in an hour

dizzydixies · 27/06/2009 09:23

lol Hots I am an exclamation mark and smiley slut!!! although I hasten to add only on here, I find its a bit of a release because the majority of my correspondance has to be all grown up and polite

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 27/06/2009 12:50

dizzy I managed the frosting was gorgeous. but a bit too runny, I had made them for dh to tske to work, but decided against it as would have been all over the place.

Sorry about my rant this morning re my bad grammer and !!!! I was just letting off steam about another thr. Can't say though
damn mn etiquette(sp?) schmetiquette
gggggggrrrrrrrr

hotterpotter · 27/06/2009 12:50

We know all about your tendencies Dizzy as you tell us every time you unexpectedly meet one of your conquests

I am with you on the smiley over-use too but that is how I keep the number of exclamation marks down Think my MIL's record was 15 !'s on a 20-word postcard message...

dizzydixies · 27/06/2009 14:51

No1 tell tell tell

dizzydixies · 27/06/2009 18:38

where is everybody

forecast for tomorrow STILL coming up as rain and DD1's party is meant to be outdoors

sambo303 · 27/06/2009 19:23

hmm we just had a hailstorm here, torrential rain and thunder. Bodes well for my bbq tomorrow

Comment from my mother upon hearing from me that you're supposed to bf til dc is 2: "humpf that's what men say to keep women out of the work place" and this from a women who has not worked since her first child was born in 1969. I was taken aback. Is this the start of the anti bf comments?

no1 I think you questioned your apostrophe use earlier, it looked spot on to me

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 27/06/2009 19:42

ah dizzy hope weather forecast changes for tomorow, and hope you ahve a lovely day.
sambo thanks I no I am lazy and sloppy with my spelling/grammer as I don't preview.

Just made some Hummingbird cupcakes, not tried one yet.
DS asleep, dd up as she had late nap due to bad night.
Dh took a holiday day off night shift tonight, so takeaway and glass of vintage.
Last night of indulgence beofre i hop over to Hot mamas.

I feel haggy,baggy and saggy.

dizzydixies · 27/06/2009 19:51

dizzydixies · 27/06/2009 19:52

did you see the links Sambo?

Steaknife · 27/06/2009 20:28

Evenin all.
We have a top tooth, yes we do and I am hoping that it means a ,ore settled night for Izzy and me.

I've finally succombed to airing my dirty laundry to the wider MN world and did an AIBU thread about DH. turns out I am not and he is a twunt.

It comes to something when you would rather he went out than stayed home sulking, even though him going out is not what you want at all.

I am v at all this cake talk, I had to go and buy an oven thermometer the other day as our oven is electric but only has setings 1 to 10 on it so I never know how hot it is; which usually turns out to be too hot.

Evenin Steaky - got any smelly cheese?

oopsacoconut · 27/06/2009 21:00

Fine then - I will get my own smelly cheese

We left DD with the ILs this morning and headed out for some brekkie then got DD a fab ladybird sunsuit from Sainburys for our holiday, I am over my strop about it and DH is really looking forward to it. The hotel wrote to confirm out booking and sent DD her own letter confirming a cot, highchair and swimming pool, which was very sweet of them. They then popped over at rugby time and have only just left. I had to eek out BBQ meat and make more salads. I also made brownies as there weren't enough white magnums to go round. They watched ,rugby, tennis, shrek3 and were almost the cause of my suicide. It was lovely out and DD was playing in the garden but they stayed in and watched telly - I am sure they have their own telly so WHY o WHY come and sit in my sitting room and watch?

DD went to bed like an angel tonight she took 5 oz when I was dressing her after her bath and them 1oz at bedtime and then fast asleep like the angel she is. I am VERY in love with her atm.

oopsacoconut · 27/06/2009 21:03

Dizzy - I hope the party goes well and it is dry for you.

DH yelling back later

cyteen · 27/06/2009 21:11

dizzy surely you have a contingency plan, you are a Scot after all Fingers crossed for blazy sunshine.

no1 you have summed up my current personal state very neatly there - haggy, baggy and saggy Have done a whole lot of eating today, although has been a bit of a topsy turvy one - up at 5am and busy all day, DS's naps/meals/bfs all over the place. Have still found time to make a pan of chocolate-beetroot brownies though...Saturday indulgence here I come.

Tea's ready, back later

Ah bums lil one awake. Night all.

Miamla · 27/06/2009 22:28

blimey, its been v quiet on here tonight. i hope its because you're all sleeping or having fun with your dp/dh
my DP upset. not sure why, he keeps snapping at me when i ask. he's woken DS up twice already tonight so it should be me upset with him. sigh. he's gone to bed already. i should go up as well but if the truth be known, i'm hoping he'll go to sleep. at least if he's asleep he can't upset me again

is noone around to help cheer me up?
