Oops I would be FURIOUS, how dare they come in and tell you what you and your grown up husband and baby need

will all good intentions aside I cannot believe that they've done all that without consulting you - are they going to be coming too? sharing your room perhaps?!?!?!

VG tell them they can have it back at a rate of 50cents a week as thats all you can afford

sazz all my childminding up the spout and will have to sit down and look at it all again

ok then 75cents, don't want them to get all high and heady with the sudden influx of cash

guitar sounds FAB, my friend teaches very randomly and I just wish he was more reliable as I think DD1 would love it - shall have to try to pin him down

RedLentil · 24/06/2009 19:31

Ello VG - I managed to write a garbled email yesterday ...

Sorry to all with work/minding stuff going pear-shaped. I'm delighted things have turned out right for you Sambo. What a relief.

CC - you are a wonderful friend. I can't imagine what that friend of yours is going through. How awful

And Miamla- what an inspiration you are with your recovery from your broken back.

Fantastic women one and all.

dizzydixies · 24/06/2009 19:44

pats on the back all round

alittlebitshy · 24/06/2009 19:46

oops grr on your behalf. So are they now holidaying with you whereas they weren't before? grr.

RedLentil · 24/06/2009 19:48

Ooh I forgot. A massive for Oops.
Did they not think to ask you?

lovely shall take very good care of it for DD1 and DD2 and have it back in time to E to wow us with his musical talents - Dylan shall accompany him with singing as she has a big gap between her two front teeth and people keep telling me that means she'll be a good singer you and I shall sit there, just off stage left, hugging each other, nodding wisely and wiping away the tears of pride

(just as long as its not at the side of the eurovision stage 'and here representing Ireland are E and D singing an updated version of My Lovely Horse')

dizzydixies · 24/06/2009 20:04

or actually should I shut down the puter, get off lary arse and either some ironing/cafe work/personal grooming?!?!

LoveBuckets · 24/06/2009 20:08

Anyone fancy trying a vegbox delivery? Abel & Cole are doing an offer of spend £60 get £50 back! You have to set up a weekly order of £15 or more using code: summersub50 and after 4wks they credit your account. Then you can cancel if you like.

dizzydixies · 24/06/2009 20:14

am off to look if they deliver to deepest/darkest north east fife!

sambo303 · 24/06/2009 20:17

less of the old thanks vg

LoveBuckets · 24/06/2009 21:03

VG Your formfilling is brilliant.

CC Your poor friend. I think about that all the time, she must be so lonely.

Sambo Good work hassling your MP, it's so nice when the system works huh? Perhaps they are all upping their efforts to please the public right now LOL.

Oops Can you pitch a tent in your back garden and sleep in it for fun? Have a bbq too, ban the kettle etc. We did that back when we only had one child and wanted to test out our new tent. Something about camping seems to really get DH in the mood.

I will offer my services to the group business venture as online sex therapist I think please. Mind you I have been a rock&roll widow this week as DH has written another fantastic song and is spending every evening perfecting his demo. I have done lyrics for the chorus, harmonies and generally pushed him into a more punky sound (which unfortunately is what is taking up more time.) Anyway, it totally rocks! Am so proud of him, 2yrs ago he never would have sung in public and here he is recording himself!

Have been reading a Japanese manga book (apparently most books are now done in comic book form over there) about raising a child with autism. Had a few weepy moments reading it which surprised me, thought I had analysed it every which way and had blanked out all the hard times. Was the realisation at how far we've come that knocked me for six - wondering if I may now get emotional tomorrow night meeting his Reception teacher with all the other preschool parents. I could never imagine him in preschool let alone in school, but he's changed so much in one year.

poppysocks · 24/06/2009 21:25

oops - what a thing to do! Would certainly be exceptionally if I were you, no matter how well-intentioned they were.

Yay for your MP sambo. Good to know some of them know they need to work extra hard at the moment - or am I just far too cynical.

Sorry you didn't manage to get into the cafe dizzy. Was it the northpoint? I ended up parking closer to home than town this morning such was the chaos of graduation. 10 years ago today that was me .

So much work crap for the Aug08 ladies. Hope it all gets cleared up soon.

TwilightSurfer · 24/06/2009 21:41

Well ladies I have the cure for the JOB BLUES that have settled on most here today. GET DRUNK! REALLY REALLY DRUNK!

That will, of course, give you a hangover. Now there's a problem I can solve for each of you. Seems BACON...yes, I said BACON combined with bread (sarnie in your country...sandwich in mine) is THE CURE for a hangover according to Newcastle University's Centre of Life. "The protein in the bacon supplies the body with amino acids, which the brain needs to restore the neurotransmitters damaged by alcohol. Meanwhile, the bread's carbohydrates give the body energy to get up and go." -Mentalfloss.com

SO DRINK UP!

Oh and SEX is being studied by a neurologist at Tabriz Medical University to end allergy related sinus problems.

SO SEX IT UP and BREATH better.

And this one is for the HOT MAMAs (and anyone else exercising)...
CAFFEINE does something fancy that I don't quite understand that helps muscles recover faster after a workout.

MAX OUT THE CAFFEINE and go WORKOUT!!

That's your news for the day. Thanks for joining me and good night.

oopsacoconut · 24/06/2009 21:43

I am still very but I know it's exactly what DH needs I would love to have been able to afford to take us somewhere like that myself, DH was actually looking forward to it and even was when they phoned and told me, not him. then he went round to see them to discuss it I told him to do what he wanted, so we are off to Cornwall. I am pissed because they are the cause of most of his stress with their arguing and bickering and threatening to split so this is just spending money to make themselves feel better. Okay that is the last of it from me - back to normal discussion.....

Buckets - DH has no luck at the moment as my cycle has gone wonkey and my period arrived today in great fashion whilst I was wearing white trousers, a whole week early.

DD sleeping soundly, Dominos pizza delivered and eaten now off to have a nice big bath and read.

might be back...

TwilightSurfer · 24/06/2009 21:46

Oops. Just There's something about a man and his parents (especially his mother). Doesn't matter the level of nonsense. Pocket your camping money and start planning the most INCREDIBLE camping trip EVER. Your DH will be totally checking you out for being so sexy about it. Promise.

LoveBuckets · 24/06/2009 21:57

Oops How are the drugs going btw?

dizzydixies · 24/06/2009 22:06

oops you're a much better person than me I hope you manage to relax and enjoy cornwall. am very minus the PIL interference of course!!!

poppy yes, was dragging him to northpoint but couldn't even be arsed trying to get in, oh well, another excuse for another trip over

oopsacoconut · 24/06/2009 22:07

Buckets - Drugs seem to be startingto kick in now - less hot and sweaty, I am not sleeping all the time now I get by with one nap and then normal bedtime, heartrate is settling is currently at about 97 which is nearly 40 lower than some times in the last 3 months and DH may get some at some point soon. I think the drugs are settling my cycle down too back to normal length rather than 35-40 days. Thanks for asking.

oopsacoconut · 24/06/2009 22:09

ooh and I just spoke to my aunt who arrived from Cape town today and asked if her and the kids would like to go camping and they are going to borrow the folks stuff and head down there so space not wasted.

dizzydixies · 24/06/2009 22:11

what a great idea oops, would have been a shame to waste it
