LOL at the under canvas meet sazzles and oops. As usual, am . That reminds me VG - thank you so much for your Featherdown recommendation. Shame you're not on commission, given the number of people I've referred on to. Keep meaning to get some pics from our hol up on here but never get round to it. You know how it is....

So glad you had a better night dizzy. LOL at the gender reassignment!

sazzles - if only my DH thought like yours. Mine well and truly played the Fathers' Day = cop-out card when DD2 had a dirty nappy at 4.30am and DD1 decided it was morning at 6.30am. Cake sale great though. dizzy - your recipe did great things for church coffers. Going rate was £1 for 2 small pieces and they were sold out super quick.

Am soooo at your sans enfant time VG and albs. Seems that every woman I know is either going to a Take That concert his weekend or grumbling that they can't make it. Once agian i'm just .

So there were only 2 small pieces left Poppysocks

oops I can't decide whether I am or not. The campervan sounds nice, but really, you can't beat being under canvas. It's the smell andthedamp

oopsacoconut · 21/06/2009 22:28

It's the compromise of getting DH out of a hotel, otherwise we would never go anywhere outdoors. I love camping so have to meet him halfway.

poppysocks · 21/06/2009 22:32

Oh if only hp, if only. Spent most of last night fending DH (and me) off the precious tray-bake treasure. Church (and my waistline) did well . We did, however, enjoy some rather, erm, generous off-cuts.

Oh dear, just in time to say goodnight. Night Oops, night Sazzles...

FSG Miamla, and you are on for a meeting to relieve the !

Definitely not envious of the camping holidays though, I don't require anything very luxurious but when one's nights are likely to be disturbed anyway I do consider a bed to be a necessity

hotterpotter · 21/06/2009 23:01

My turn to be up early tomorrow, I nicked DH's lie-in today so sweet dreams and I'll see one or two of you with early-rising pests lovely DC in the morning

TwilightSurfer · 22/06/2009 01:11

hi.

Expectant · 22/06/2009 04:52

TS hoping we pass in the night again...

Miamla the dress is lovely.

Hope you all had a lovely day yesterday.

DS still getting up at 5-5.30 not sure why at the moment.

He has another cold and cough so a bad night last night. Didn't want his lunch yesterday whilst we were out for Father's Day so spent the whole time trying to get him to eat something which put a bit of a dampner on the lunch. I know I should just give up when he won't eat but I get so anxious about it.

His walking and standing have improved lots over the weekend. He now seems quite happy to walk to get a toy whereas before crawling was quicker so the preferred method . He was showing off on skype yesterday evening to very excited Grandma and Grandad.

Quite embarassingly though he's becoming a great mimic. We went to take DH's pressie and card into him yesterday morning (he was having lie-in) and DH farted rather loudly upon hearing this DS blew a raspberry - great!

sambo303 · 22/06/2009 07:33

morning ladies

dont want to jinx it but the last 3 nights ds has slept between the crucial hours of 10/11pm and 5/6am. Feels strange not to feel sick with tiredness. Not sure what's changed apart from waking him for a feed if he does not wake himself around 10/11pm. We just noticed yesterday our neighbour is 6.5 months pg . And we've lived here nearly a year . At least it's a good opener for conversation.

We made a start on our allotment yesterday and I really enjoyed digging the weeds out

Hope all enjoyed F Day yesterday - we had a mixed one due to massive shouting match am and then dp's family issues reared their head in him having a massive shouting match with his eldest son and he's still really upset about it. Hope things are calmer today....

wishing all a lovely Monday

sazzles good to know there's a reason for their whinginess isnt it. Are you up to your elbows in jam making today?

vg dp has 2 other boys, not really that wee at 31 and 29. We are going to grow chard, horseradish, spuds, goosegogs, peas etc lots and lots of stuff. Some of the other allotments are really inspirational. I am hoping to get a few hours of digging in later today

off to Tiny Talk in an hour. So far ds looks quizzically at me when I make the signs...have not noticed any signing back yet

LoveBuckets · 22/06/2009 10:15

Morning, good news on tooth and sleeping fronts then; Kurt also had a whole week of grumpiness and finally his 2nd tooth just appeared.

Sambo I didn't notice you had stepkids.

Don't forget West country folks, if anyone's in the Bristol area this weekend, there's a free concert at the Harbourside Amphitheatre 2.00pm featuring me ME ME!!! 500 people singing in harmony is totally mindblowing to hear.

Does anyone own/know someone with a Toyota Estima people carrier? I really fancy one, the middle row of seats that faces the back row of seats which seems a lot more flexible to me. I'm not sure they're actually made anymore though.

Right, am off to read the Saturday supplements in bed til Kurt wakes up (about 2mins of course).

cyteen · 22/06/2009 10:23

Morning all, have read the last few pages but can hear DS stirring from a lengthy sleep, so just wanted to say that we had a lovely lovely weekend barbecuing in the sun with DP's family - DS put on another crowdpleasing performance of cuteness and I was shamefully thrilled to hear MIL declare him the winner of the cute baby competition DP had good Father's Day and got a bit of grit in his eye when reading the book I DS got for him So mission accomplished really.

Am supposed to be meeting friend at soft play, need to get dressed/sort out change bag/get DS up before it finishes at 11.30am Back later!

morning all (said in tones similar to Eeyore) not a great night but not due to Dylan but due to me. Now I think you all know me well enough by now to understand that I'm not prone to melodrama however last night I was convinced I was on my way out - utterly sure of it

I hurt something in my stomach and couldn't get into a position where I wasn't in pain sitting/standing/lying etc provided no relief and eventually I threw in two diclofex (sp?) to try to knock myself out but not before making DH promise to check me in the morning before he went on late shift incase I had died in the night - I didn't want the girls to be left on their own for the school run

DD2 was up and down like a yoyo which I dealt with through a drug induced haze and then Dylan up at 6am

fortunately I have not died in my sleep, DH at work, DD1 is at school, DD2 with my friend and Dylan asleep in the porch in her buggy. The sun is shining and I am no longer in pain so feck knows what on earth I had done to myself

pertelote am so with you on the camping is fine as long as its within a hotel room under a 4poster bed

poppy glad the traybake went well - I handed in a banana & pecan loaf to the cafe last week which went down an absolute store and was V easy too

VG Dylan is similar to E in the fact that the thumb gets stuck in and the eyebrow raised over the top my cousin is also considering the featherdown farm route for hers shall make sure you all get mates rates when you visit

No1 am glad you like the sound of the party bags am a tad nervous that the mothers are going to lynch me for making them bake with the kids

TS hope your sleeping regime continuing

sun is shining here again today which means DD1 getting to go riding after school today and I am on here, eating toast and ignoring the mountain of housework that's glaring at me

dizzydixies · 22/06/2009 10:26

morning Cyteen and buckets

buckets I don't know that one but I fancied the toyota previa, what put me off was the fact that they're no longer in production and although they've held their value and are good reliable cars, the parts were going to be hard to come by. just a thought - Toyotas are generally extremelly reliable

fecking hell, there are scottish people on the Jeremy Kyle show this morning and its not often I'm ashamed of my nation

dizzydixies · 22/06/2009 10:35

am not going to mention it again as I realise I've turned into an obsessive loon BUT there are now 110 comments on the cafe planning application
