No1 buttermilk is usually in cake recipes because they need the acidity to rise properly - plain yoghurt does the same thing if you can't find buttermilk.

Dizzy white chocolate and raspberry are DH's favourites too! Hmmm, I have not baked for him this w'end but it is his birthday next Sunday... Hurrah for your gym-tastic girls!

Hurrah also to TS, winner of the night-time milk wars... I'm impressed how quick that has been but I know that is easy to say in retrospect!

And I'll add a at VG's daytrip and ALBS big night out... when's my turn????

dizzydixies · 21/06/2009 14:33

pertelote thank goodness you're here and know what you're talking about shall let you know how the tart turns out

and if its your turn before mine I shall throw a massive strop

Miamla · 21/06/2009 14:34

pertelote... shall we sneak out somewhere together to make up for everyone else's trips?

not here to stay, DS napping and DP using my new sewing machine so i need to go and supervise watch

just a quickie to say i've added ballgown photos to my profile on here

alittlebitshy · 21/06/2009 18:27

cool pushchair no1. wheere are you getting in from? - looks like it's american.

dizzydixies · 21/06/2009 18:35

looks great, they can sit and babble away to each other

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 21/06/2009 19:02

I have got it off ebay. A lady has just been to America and although her toddler walks everywhere, they bought it to shelter them from the heat, so hasnt had much use. I was cheeky and asked if she had considered a buy it now price. She said £150 so went for it. She had lots of interest and higher offers, but didnt want the hassle of postage.
Luckily her dad visits my area every 2 week so fetching it to me
I did want this one in the first place.
Hopefully now dd wont be able to hit him

dd asleep after many many tears, as WE I have left her teddy at my dads today, she was heartbroken at bed time. First time she has ever fallen asleep without it.
DH will be home just after 8 so I am cooking us chinese.
oh can hear ds moaning.....

alittlebitshy · 21/06/2009 19:21

which way round do you think you'll have it??? so many options... ooh.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 21/06/2009 19:43

lol not sure, maybe if they face each other she may be able to reach and kick him, so will have to see.
very excited though. I really should be on the pushchair thread shouldnt I ??

I have also managed to get hold of a babywalker for ds free off netmums.
Just for outside use. Dh face was a picture when I told him I was getting one. I saw his eyes fleet round the kitchen units and he said 'It is just for outside right' pmsl
1 more pram to sell, or maybe 2

dizzydixies · 21/06/2009 20:05

god you could have had ours, I am fed up getting smacked in the ankles with it

Sazzles - where are you going camping? Dizzyland? or somewhere closer as a trial? We are going to Woolacombe in North Devon for a week next Sunday week so please all think nice weather thoughts!

No1 - I like the look of that pushchair, one of my NCT friends is expecting again and is looking for a tandem so will send her a link.

Dizzy - are you making cupcakes for the Christening? If so you may have an extra visitor....

We are BBQing at DH's request I bought him the BIGGEST ribeye steak I could find.
and treated him to a bit of . He loved the casting of DD's hands and feet better than anything I could have bought apparently. I did a hand for FIL and a foot for my Dad too. I fixed them into box frames - they look really great

Going to catch up now.

Evening ladies

Sounds like some lovely weekends have been had, hurrah. We've been to the local fete this afternoon, DD's first time to one, she was in heaven with the swing ride and the trampolines, and I have come home with a goodish tomato plant for 30p. Made the seafood lasagne that was the mn recipe of the week last week, it was fecking delicious and both DC hoovered it up like they hadn't eaten all day

Will be thinking dry thoughts for your DDs Sazzles and No1. Summer is deffo the best time to try potty-training. Not looking forward to trying it with a boy though Couple of years until I have to worry about that though

22 months that is young. I never even tried with DD until she was 2.5, then, apart from a poo issue resolved by jelly baby bribery, she was dry day and night after about three days

Having been on a two-centre holiday to Ilfracombe and Woolacombe as a teenager, I would say Woolacombe every time. The beach is absolutely fantastic.

Sazzles we are at Warcombe Farm until the 2nd! It is by far the best site in Woolacombe - great facilities and play area.

oopsacoconut · 21/06/2009 22:19

Ahhh but Sazzles - we won't be under canvas we have a campervan you could always come visit if it rains!
