{{hugs}} Daisy. That's very . Are you the youngest? I'm the eldest, and my instinct would be to tell them exactly how you feel and bollocks to them. But I'm very good at thinking these things, and not carrying them out IYKWIM.

My dad certainly kept our family together and things have really changed since then. They are all close and I live an hour away. I see mum but our relationship has changed hugely and I mainly do it out of duty and for DCs. How sad is that?

But if there is one thing I have learnt in the last 4 years, the family that matter are those I live with. Sod everybody else!

I'm sure the weekend will be fine - and you just caught her at a bad time. Perhaps all go our for a pub meal together? The kids will love staying in a caravan.....hope the weather is good for you.

LittleMissNorty · 21/05/2009 17:14

How can you not even send a card when a new baby is born? Have they all met him? (my family see us when when I go over there

Don't even get me started on DHs family......

FrazzledFairyFay · 21/05/2009 17:47

Sorry you've got SPD Fury, but PMSL at the thought of shoving various iced products up there - maybe sitting on an ice pack would be better

at shitey shite families. Why are people like that?

Sputnik · 21/05/2009 21:59

That little hole got blocked on our fridge too, there was no plunger thingy and poking random things down it didn-t work. Eventually we tried a squirt of that compressed air stuff you can buy for cleaning computers, worked a treat.

LackaDAISYcal · 21/05/2009 23:09

see y'all on Monday

I'll catch up with scrabble then fairy!

Have a lovely time Daisy

Rialentless · 22/05/2009 09:06

DH is going to "plunge" the fridge today.

Sorry to have missed you last night daisy, have a great weekend, hope you get good weather

LittleMissNorty · 22/05/2009 09:12

Morning

Hope it works Ria

Lovely day again here today so will get out in the garden. Forecast looking promising for my boot-fair on Sunday. I've got two clothes rails full of clothes, 3 crates (of crap), a pasting-tables worth of pink vests of various sizes , an old buggy, and a couple of crates of books - including one entitled "Having a baby over 35 - its not too late" and GF! Just got to get it all in the car along with my mum, DS and his buggy!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 22/05/2009 09:17

Lovely day here too

Hope your journey is going well Daisy!

And good luck with that boot fair Norty!

Jamlet did a HUGE poo on the potty this morning She was obviously getting ready to "go" so I suggested we get the potty and she looked quite pleased at the idea. Hope the rest of the day goes as well. I don't think I could cope with another one like yesterday. I don't think it helps that I'm on day 14 of my period and getting worn down and p'd off with that. Can't get a diaphragm until July though so have just got to soldier on until then it seems

TheNatty · 22/05/2009 14:06

yay jamlet!
ellen having accidents left right and centre again, so she is going back into nappies after the weekend if she doesnt improve, im sick of scrubbing the carpet!

soorry i missed you daisy have a good weekend sorry you sis being so crappy

still no money coming in here, and council reckon they will only pay 80% of our rent.. so where do i find 150 pounds each month? grrr

good luck at boot sale norty

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 22/05/2009 19:56

I had the induction thing as a volunteer at our children's centre today, and I might be doing some training to do with children's communication and language development But then I was the volunteer for the afternoon session and nobody turned up! So jamlet and I played for an hour and then went home.

Rialentless · 23/05/2009 08:37

that's a shame jammy. nice to have all those toys to yourselves though

I went to the sharing assembly at school as they have been studying Africa for multi-cultural week. DS2s class were terrified (reception don't often go into assembly). And I went to bed early - I seem to be constantlty sleepy on the ADs, also forgot to take one last night so had very bizarre (but thankfully not scary) dreams!

DH wants to go walking on the moors today, I need to stay in and do laundry in case we are going away next week.

Rialentless · 23/05/2009 21:22

AIBU to be ridiculously excited to have got an invitation to a wedding today?

hope you're all having a good weekend.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 24/05/2009 06:46

Ooooh, whose wedding Ria? And no, you should be excited.

Jamlet woke too early this morning - 5.50. Wouldn't mind so much, but I can't even have breakfast as am going swimming at 8. Until then, I'm hungry

Rialentless · 24/05/2009 17:07

DS2s godfather jammy. He is a chef friend of DHs. I am really chuffed for him (I think they have already got married TBH, and it;s a blessing & reception). Am also quite excited at the prospect of a new outfit, AND all the kids are invited too

It is a lovely day today. Baggins was filthy earlier from playing in the garden, but is now bathed and asleep on the sofa.

Sputnik · 24/05/2009 21:09

A filthy child is a happy child, IMO .
Mine got totally filthy today.

Rialentless · 24/05/2009 22:28

they were all truly happy today then

Sputnik · 24/05/2009 22:57

I was thinking of you today Ria, as I got some fake crocs for DD to slip on and off to go in the garden. I actually contemplated getting some myslf as they're really practical for that.

Rialentless · 25/05/2009 07:42

looks like a lovely day again

get some Sputnik, you know you want to

Rialentless · 25/05/2009 10:48

Just having a swift cup of tea, then I'm off for a picnic and watch a Napoleonic Battle re-enactment

Hope everyone has a good day

TheNatty · 25/05/2009 11:13

Sputnik · 25/05/2009 15:02

LittleMissNorty · 25/05/2009 17:28

Happy Birthday Ellen

Times gone very quickly hasn't it......K's little party for a few friends is this Saturday coming and birthday Tuesday week.

Made £97 at the bootfair yesterday and was 25 degrees....got rid of LOADS

HellHathNoFury · 25/05/2009 18:04

Happy Birthday Ellen!

Well done on the boot sale Norty, nice one.
I bought that Fisher Price Aquarium thing on your recommendation, bought it for a tenner, scrubbed it up and it's as good as new.
Loving Ebay.

Did have to drive into the centre of London to collect it though, eek

TheNatty · 25/05/2009 19:19

good find fury!
i havent got anything for this baby yet, not had the money recently and didnt want to jinx it before 30 weeks anyway.
hopefully my surestart grant will come though before the baby comes, tho i have got a few babygrows and nappies, so im ok for basics for the first few weeks if there is a delay.
this baby has been head down for two weeks now, my milk has come in (squirting everywhere wtf?!) and im getting masses of BH.. i wonder if he will be early?

does anyone know if daisy is due back today or tomorrow?
