feeling a little better today, though very hot and a but "wobbly", didn't sleep too well though.

I managed the dentist OK though, and not too sore or too much blood this time!

what did you have done at the dentist?

only a scale and polish, but it is usually a very painful blood-bath. Am glad it's over though.

I had dentist on friday as well. Had a filling done and saw the hygeinist.
Loads of blood but don't you get that sense of satisfaction knowing that you have a shiny gobful afterwards?

My gums always bled dreadfully when pregnant - have only just stopped & he's nearly 4 months.

Just done Sainsbury's with the 2 of them.....they took turns in screaming , but I'm getting the hang of this mum of 2 thing now .

Just picked up the new M&B mag and there is a free ITNG book this month girls....the only one of a series of 8 we didn't have . Daisy, have I missed your review in there or has it not been published yet?

Good news is that I'm getting paid at time-and-a-half for the extra hours I worked last week And I might be able to claim back the nursery fee for the extra day she had there so I could work

Hello - I'm back!

Blimey, it's been quiet round here.

Had a fab time in the States. NY was great, everyone is so friendly, unlike in London where people look at you like you are something they have just vomited up! Did lots of shopping. bought some mineral make up, and those disgustingly expensive shu emuera eye lash curlers! Went up the Empire State Building, saw the Statue of Liberty, all the usual tourist crap. Washington was a bit disappointing but part of it was probably just that we had been away for a week and my friend and I were both knackered, from non-stop walking, and broken nights in hostels. I slept for 14 hours yesterday (I basically missed a whole nights sleep on the flight back) and even then DH had to wake me. Still a bit spaced out. Back to work tomorrow . Really missed DD, much more than I thought, but DH was brilliant and she doesn't seem overly traumatised, on the contrary she is full of beans and talking non-stop.

Bumper I didn't realise you were there on a jolly, I thought you were there for work.

I'd love to go there with work, so I can stay somewhere nice, last time I went DH and I couldn't afford to stay anywhere decent and ended up in an evil cruddy hostel where I feared I would be robbed or stabbed.

I have had a fucking shit day, now I am going to bed and hope that tomorrow is better.

It was partly work, we worked Mon and Tues then me and a colleague stayed on for the rest of the week, but the overtime that I can claim will cover the cost of the rest of the holiday (obviously the flights were paid for by work too).

Sorry to hear about your issues with DS Fury. Hope things get better.

DS is fine. Well he hates me and tells me often but there is nothing new there.

My shit day was more to do with the fact that DH didn't do as well on his code review as he hoped, I am a fat bloater and if I get any fatter I will need to wear dome tents, I got a parking ticket and had a hissy fit at the man and I sent an email to my sister which upset her.

glad you had a good time bumper. I would very much like a grown-up break ATM. My friends are going to Greece tomorrow without any children (though by the sounds of it it has cost a fortune in "sweeteners" for the kids)

No one has ever stopped me in the street to compliment me on my clothes. Though I did once had a bloke walk past me and say, quite distinctly, "Nice tits" !

Honestly I wasn-t wearing anything that great! They just seem to have this culture of bigging up other people. I have never been complimented anywhere else!
