Ahem! I am doing the grocery shopping actually Fury!

Evening Jammy! How are you?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 21/04/2009 21:51

Oh I'm fine thanks Foxy Well I would be if my thigh would get better. As it is I'm mostly fine. That'll have to do I guess.

LackaDAISYcal · 21/04/2009 22:39

rushes in

apologies to foxy for blanking her the other day...I was trying to be cheeky and meant to come back to say so, but those pesky children are keeping me busier than I like

bumble and I are going to be on the telly!!! . Well not the telly as such, but a video on BFing for the local NHS trust, to be broadcast in doctors surgeries all over Leeds. I'm was worried about the camera adding 10lbs, but given I'm 3stone overweight, what's another 10lbs! this might be bumble's big acting break

off to catch up.

goodness me busy busy thread!

Ria DH has just stopped working in a job that they took the piss out of him, he missed 2 out of 4 of our scans cos they "forgot" to rota him off and then couldnt cos no one would swap.
try not to let it get to you, like u said not his fault, but i must admit i had no idea the tension between us till he quit that stupid arse job.

im off to the jobcentre to sign on have applied for two jobs this morning that will have to do them, its so stupid to make me look for a job when NO ONE is going to bloody emply me anyway.

Ohforfoxsake · 22/04/2009 12:01

Go with the system Natty. We are lucky to have it. Its a ball ache, I know, but think of it as paying you for making the trip to the Job centre. Plenty of countries don't have one, in Oz you don't get any maternity allowance or anythin

HellHathNoFury · 22/04/2009 13:08

Yes. Hence utilising my reproductive abilities here where I can milk all the benefits of 'the system' and working for a good company, and then when done I shall bugger off to Aus for the sunshine

Ohforfoxsake · 22/04/2009 14:47

I am seriously considering applying for Jobseekers. Not that I could go and get a job, is it wrong to blag it? My conscience tells me yes, my wallet tells me no.

LackaDAISYcal · 22/04/2009 14:50

hello

aaaargggghhhh he's crying again.

Foxy that's very negative

You have lots of free hours. Like between 2am and 3am

Ohforfoxsake · 22/04/2009 14:56

Fury, you are right. What was I thinking? Podium Dancing it is then.

Awww Daisy.

LittleMissNorty · 22/04/2009 15:08

Afternoon

This time I am not going to bottle it...I am going to get a coil put in.....

had to do a pg test this morning .....thank fuck it was negative

DH is not coming anywhere near me until this bloody coil is put in.....now only good experiences please..... (I'm such a baby!)

Ohforfoxsake · 22/04/2009 18:56

Its very uncomfortable putting it in, but its over in seconds. No worse than being examined in labour!

Took about 4 months for it all to settle down, but no periods to speak off is a real bonus and makes it worthwhile IMO.

TALLULAHBELLE · 22/04/2009 20:39

Evening all. Been a day of mishaps here.

Did DT1's nappy far too tight. Suddenly noticed one of her wee legs was bright red & huge big mark around her thigh. Luckily her toes haven't fallen off yet.

Next I parked the double buggy complete with Dts at my close door to help DD up the steps. Left the nappy bag & handbag on the handle & the weight was enough to topple it backwards. Poor Dts.They got such a fright. Checked heads carefully for lumps & bumps but all seems OK.

Then DD trapped her finger in the kitchen drawer. The cracker I gave her stopped the howling & she went off happily while I tried to finish the tea.

Suddenly realised all was quiet. Discovered SLW (sibling-led weaning) was taking place in other room & had to hook chunk of Ritz cracker out of DT1 mouth. Found DT2's share in her dungaree pocket. At least DD doesn't play favourites.

Then DD fell backwards into her toybox & got stuck. I was torn, she looked so funny, legs waving in the air, I wanted to grab the camera but figured should make up for being so neglectful earlier & rescued her instead.

Soooo glad it's winetime bedtime.

LackaDAISYcal · 22/04/2009 21:17

oh lordy tallulah.....what a day. Enjoy your wine bed . I know it's not funny about the ritz cracker, but when you have toddlers and babies, all thoughts of "xclusive BF to 26 weeks" go flying! bumble had raisins, a suck on some apple and some ribena long before we started weaning him!

I have had a huge case of velcro baby here today. Not sure why; we were out at clinic this morning, then pootled home slowly. He was full of charm and smiles at clinic, slept for an hour or so and was smiley before the school run. Got back from school and he was miserable and wouldn't let me put him down. He finally fell asleep again at 5pm for about 20 mins.

He just doesn't sleep well in the day and neither does he feed well at the minute....cue miserable grumpy baby who is awake and feeding all night.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 22/04/2009 21:28

Sounds like an eventful day Tallulah!

My leg is getting better - I even managed a gentle session at the gym today. But OMFG my neck!!! Woke up with a sore neck this morning and it's been getting worse all day Having to sit with cushions behind my head now to hold it up!

LackaDAISYcal · 22/04/2009 22:21

jammy, what have you done to your leg? and neck?

OP posts:
TheNatty · 22/04/2009 22:34

hope your neck is better tomorrow, jammy i get that sometimes. did u sleep funny?

sorry bumble been so clingy today daisy, makes you want to scream sometimes doesnt it?

the people at the jobcenter were great, my support officer thinggy thinks it is ever so funny i have to sign on for just 2 weeks before income support takes over, and being massivly pregnant! she didnt even look aat my signing sheet just stamped me and sent me on my way.
was dreading it as last week i had DC with me as hubby was at uni, and the woman was very rude about how i wouldnt be able to bring them into work with me
but if i was working they would be at a childminders.. they dont pay me enough on jobseekers to put two children in full time childcare 1 day a week

ah phoooey!

kids been a nightmare, im in agony again cos i dared to leave the house so my back is on fire.
so going to bed to rest my weary bones.

night!

vaRIAtyisthespiceoflife · 23/04/2009 07:12

sorry for all necks & backs that are sore (mine too), and hectic DCs.

DS2 is whimpering that he has tummy ache and a sore throat again and doesn't want to go to school. I can't not send him again. Will have to go with the "if you're poorly Mrs X will ring me to get you". I hate mornings.

DH has to travel from Birmingham to Carlise today, then he should be able to come home.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 23/04/2009 07:47

Morning.

Diasy, I picked jamlet up on friday night and pulled a muscle in my thigh It's well on the mend now though, thankfully.

And yes, I slept funny Tues night and neck was really sore all day yesterday. Nurofen gel did no good, nurofen tablets did a little but I was awake half the night last night with the pain At about 3am I found some paracetamol & codeine in the bathroom cabinet and they eased it enough to sleep. One side is still bad this morning but at least I can hold my head up today.

LittleMissNorty · 23/04/2009 10:44

Morning

Sorry for all those feeling unwell....and with unwell DCs. Jammy I done that to my neck years ago when working at St Thomas' and it bloody hurt. The doctor I was working with told me to rake paracetamol and codeine and wear a neck brace....done the trick, even if I felt a prat!

Tallulah - hope today is easier....I've caught DD trying to feed DS as well ....as well as her having swigs from his bottle!

Hope you got some sleep last night Daisy.

My DD is causing us nightmares with sleeping atm....I must be a social outcast on MN as my thread been completely ignored...any advice ladies?

LackaDAISYcal · 23/04/2009 10:57

ouch jammy, sounds nasty.

I've posted on your thread norty

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 23/04/2009 12:07

Hi all. Back from a trip to the shops. Am to admit how much I spent on new shoes for Jamlet. £46 Hope her feet continue to be slow growing!

vaRIAtyisthespiceoflife · 23/04/2009 12:42

we are going shoe-shopping on Saturday. For baggins and maybe DS2. And we have to go to a sports shop as DS1 wants a cricket box.

it has just gone all dull and cold here

I am estimating DH will get to Carlisle after lunch. Wonder if he'll be home for bedtime

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 23/04/2009 12:48

Oh Clarks would have been cheaper, but they didn't have anything suitable.
