Had a very hectic week dashing around everywhere. Quickish 'catch up' post as P is in her playpen and not sure how long she will remain entertained! I have made DH go to council meeting tonight to object to planning opposite us turning 2 fairly old houses into 12 flats, one of the houses (200 years+) would be demolished! It's awful IMO and would completely destroy the character of the area not to metion cause ridiculous traffic/parking problems in our already busy little road!! Not impressed!!! We (us & ALL neighbours) are making a stand!!

P has started waving goodbye to 'people' on the TV when they wave...particularly Iggle Piggle at the end of In the night garden! She gets ever so enthusiastic with it and often falls over, very cute! Still slow progress with the walking. She does it almost without thinking sometimes but when you actually want her to do it she just laughs and crawls!!

Cat had bandage removed yesterday and promptly found a way to bite his leg when we let him out of the cage! Little buggar! His leg is so skinny where all the muscle has gone makes him hobble/skulk around!

P is screeching, must try and entertain it her! She has on the whole been a horrid baby today no idea what the problem is!!

disneystar1 · 31/07/2009 22:18

MinnieMummy · 31/07/2009 22:26

Hey all, have been absolutely slammed with one thing after another, it was Poppy's birthday yesterday, panicked because we hadn't got her much at all, dashed to Mothercare and got her an old-school stylie Fisher Price phone on wheels - very popular, she loves doing the 'Ello?' thing all the live long day!

Low key actual birthday (DS got upset as DH and I were also giving each other presents as P was born on our wedding anniversary, so we found something we'd stashed from last xmas and he was happy) but we're planning a joint birthday/anniversary/naming party on the weekend, too much to do, house too messy, too much work on....

Red-Career change sounds good. Did you get another test today?

Bebe- Hope things go your way about the buildings. That doesnt sound good. We have had something similar. There is a road opposite our house and along there is some offices. Well it seems one of them is due to be made into a recording studio or something like that. It seems there was a meeting about it recently but no- one knew about it. Seems we were supposed to have got notes through the door about it but with speaking to the neighbours, no one did. Not sure now what is happening there and if we will end up hearing loud music Our area is a quiet place full of old people so its very quiet!

Hope P cheers up. Abigails been abit like that lately too.

Disney- Hope you feel better and get a good nights rest

Minnie- Happy Birthday Poppy
Abigail has the fisher price phone... but a proper Old School one...Vintage... DH's toy!!

Abigail likes her new car seat. Was abit puzzled being forward facing at first. She sat very quietly watching me driving
Took her to the park in her Trike today which was fun then did some painting.

minipinkscottish · 01/08/2009 19:42

Aw M2L, it's a horrible stage....I feel for you...and I'm not trying to be patronising. I really do know what you're going through. I hated the last few weeks and days...even though Abbie was early all my others were either late or on time and it is a real pain when people can't just let you get on with it....I mean does everyone think that you will sneak away have the baby and not tell anyone Chin up girl....all I will say is that I am soooooooooooooo.....oh to have a little new born again I can't believe how broody I am even though Abbie is so fantastic and adorable and scrummy and gorgeous.....okay I'll shut up now ...hee! hee!
Am about to post a few new pics here and on fb xx

bebejones · 01/08/2009 20:47

Wretched eys are bugging the hell out of me this evening, just want to scratch them out, just so irritating & sore!! Thought they were getting better!

Made some biscotti for P today from a recipe on here so will let you guys know how they go down! She has been very out of sorts today, very quiet! She has had very nasty poos last couple of days. 2 enormous fill the nappy jobs in the space of an hour this evening (TMI sorry!) pluss she has started last few days being a bit sick after every meal. Not given her anything different, apart from a bit more food as she has seemed very hungry (including more cows milk in food although she has been having it a while) so am very puzzled. She had seemed fine in herself (grumpy and annoying but hey whats new?!?! ) but was very quiet today even at Grandad's where she is usually a scamp! No temp though so not sure what this could be!

M2L - hang in there, it won't be long, just try and ignore all the questions & comments! Enjoy the time with L and hopefully it will go quickly!

Pigley - New Shoooooooes?!?!? Very cute pic of A on FB!!

pigleychez · 01/08/2009 22:28

M2L- Whens your due date again? Hold on there

Minipink- Love the new pictures. She's really grown and has a sweet little face.

Bebe- Do let us know how the biscotti goes down. Ive seen that recipie and often thought of trying it. Hope your eyes get better soon. Id say try not to rub them but know thats easier said that done!

Yes we took Abigail to get her first Clarks walking shoes fitted. She was so good bless her. We had to wait to be served and she was walking about chatting to the older kids and giving them shoes! My parents came with us and bought them for her which was kind.
She looks so grown up with her new shoes on. She now says "Shooooos" for shoes which sounds so sweet.

Spent this evening writing Thank you letters for all the gifts Abigail recieved. My wrist now aches! Kept making so many mistakes and had to start all over.. Still have one more to do and address envelopes but stopped as I was loosing the will to live!

Hoping for a quiet night tonight as Abigail has been waking alot lately. Seems to be around 2-3am and can be up to about an hour or two to get her off again [yawn]

sweetkitty · 02/08/2009 10:53

hi ladies lovely Summer morning here today think it will rain later though always does. I'm a bit today think I have had a chemical pregnancy, period was 8 days late and this morning I woke in a pool of blood and am bleeding v heavily, very unusual for me had this once before when I had a CP before DD1, oh well it's very common but what makes it worse is that it is 2 days to the day I had a mc. I don't think of it as being pregnant rather that an egg got fertilised but didn't make it.

On a happier note I had a full nights sleep last night, yes 8 hours straight DP has gone to our hometown to his Uncles birthday party so I was home alone but the girls were so good, Bethany is sleeping through all the time now and is down to one BF at night, I wish she would take more cos milk though. She's just an utter angel though, is stnading by herself but just lacking that last bit of confidence to walk.

pigley - Abigail's shoes are fab she always looks so grown up, I amde that mistake with my Abbie getting her first shoes it was the weekend before the schools went back and we went to Clarks big mistake, now I go for it opening. Stange to think it's now Abbie getting school shoes.

bebe - hope P liked the biscotti. How's things with you all now, settled down, how are you feeling?

minipink - Abbie is gorgeous but you know that already I think you could be on that May TTC bis with me you know, go one what's one more you would hardly even notice I swing from pure fear I must be insane to want to go through pregnancy agian and have 4 to bring it on I love it lol

disney - hope you had a good night. Forgot top ask how is things with your DD now? And how are your big babies getting on in their own flat? I get yours all confused you ahve your one DD, two big boys, and four wee ones at home that's right isn't it?

M2L - hang on in their girl last few weeks always the toughest just, think of that wee newborn, Leah will suddenly go from a we baby to seeming so big and grown up when you bring anotehr wee one home

Minniemummy - Happy Birthday to Poppy, at one time we had 3 of those Fisher Price phones all presents, I gave 2 away to toddler groups they are good though. It's amazing how you can buy them all these fancy expensive interactive learning toys but the old favourites are the best loved. B is currently engrossed with some ELC wodden jigsaws that belonged to DD1. Stacking cups are another favourite here.

Right better be off older two watching a DVD we are having a jammie day today may take them out later if the weather holds up

bebejones · 02/08/2009 12:35

Just a quickie to say Biscotti a massive hit. Kept her v quiet for a good 20mins while she chomped on it and she didn't even eat a whole one!! It's an MN recipe, will post as a note on FB aswell!

DH has been 'teaching' P to wink, if you wink at her she blinks back both eyes shut screwing her face up & birsts into fits of giggles! Very funny! Must go do lunch now P is down for nap!

mama2leah · 02/08/2009 14:44

hey guys..
im due on the 10august according to my scan....leah already looks so grown up, but her naps and bedtime have go to pot..we know have to sit with her or put her to sleep on our bed..take sup to an hour..and is waking up alot at night as well, and wants to be back in our bed..hmm i hope things get better when baby is born.

minipinkscottish · 02/08/2009 15:23

things will settle down M2L...they always do

SK at you thinking I might be TTC soon .....I wish I am too old I think at 41 and I think my older dc's would never forgive me dh isn't up for it anyway....although he isn't willing to do anything about stopping it happening

Hapyy birthday Poppy and anyone else I've missed xx

sweetkitty · 03/08/2009 19:10

Is quiet in here today, hope everyone is away playing in the lovely sunshine SOME of us seem to be getting

Rumpel · 03/08/2009 19:15

Happy Birthday Poppy.

M2L - big hugs and sympathy tea and biccies for you xxx Sending you a 'virtual foot rub'

MINIPINK - how you enjoying your hols?

BEBE - I'm going to start calling you Nigella

PIGLEY - I always think your Abbie looks grown up too. She is a cutie.

RED - sounds like a great plan. Go for it - life is too short and give that Louis one a strong word from me about being a good boy for his poor Mammy

MINNIE - enjoy all the partying and what is the plan with you now you have finished your Uni course?

DISNEY - xx and ( ) to Sam as per usual.

Well I have been mad busy the last few days.

Wednesday got my hair done - lovely day to myslef but went in far to fast!

Thursday my Dad called to say he was popping in unexpectedly on the way back up North from his friends' in Ayr. Then my friend and her 14 year old daughter arrived from where we used to live. I was running after them all day and found Calvin on the sofa (friends DD thought he wanted up) . Then I was busy wrapping up some ebay parcels and he fell off the bed (friend had put him on the bed ubeknownst to me)!!! Arggg! They finally left about 10.30pm and I fell into bed.

Friday we eventually got to PIL about 3pm (no time to pack on Thursday) and then off to the wedding in Kilbirnie (Moorpark Hotel SWEETKITTY). Was okay - too loud as small room and ceileidh band. Chatted to DH's ex and got on just like old times so now a Fb friend.
Got back to PIL at2am and C awoke at 6! Been like a zombie the last 2 days and was up all night with my wee chappie - he has the most awful high temp, crying and crying and bright red face. I've been dosing him up all day but if he is still the same tomorrow I'll pack him off to GPs. Probably a 'virus' but just to be safe.

We are off to Gretna Green on Thursday for my folks 40th Wedd Ann for a few nights - really looking forward to it.

And ta da ta da ta da drum roll please...........

I LOST 4.5 POUNDS LAST WEEK!!!

Only another 1st 3lbs to go

Take care all

squishy hugs all round.xxxx

pigleychez · 03/08/2009 20:47

SK- So sorry to hear about the chemical pregnancy Next time

Bebe- I like cooking and enjoy trying new things so will give them biccies a go with Abigail.
I love the winking video too

Rumpel- sounds like you have been a very busy bee lately! Huge well done on the weight loss. Whats your secret!?!

Been enjoying the sunshine whilst its out Sunday we took a leisurely walk round the local lake with Abigail in her trike, then round the Nature park.

Today we have had a friend round for lunch. ( old work colleague so having a good gossip and catching up!)
She spoilt Abigail with a birthday present and Abigail loved playing with her.

Abigail is amazing me with her speech lately. She says lots of words and knows there meanings too. She points to a picture of her as a newborn and says Baby and today gave me DH's wallet saying Daddys. she really mimcks what you say too. Its very sweet
Also she is very good with her "Ta" She says it automatically when you give her something and if she wants something she points to it and says Ta.
Although I think the devil snuck into her last night though!! She was such a monkey all afternoon..Totally into mischief! Thankfully he must of left during the night!

minipinkscottish · 04/08/2009 07:35

SK - how you feeling now?
Rumpel - hols have been a bit of a trial tbh - it's so hard to please everyone in this crap weather. ds4 is happy as long as he is outside but that's not always been possible but dd1 has really suffered with the muggy heat She's had quite a few headaches and she's only 6 - I was exactly the same and now suffer from migrains My mum does too so seems to be a family thing.

Today it is raining and am totally sick of play places. Going to suggest baking and drawing and maybe a dvd this afternoon Hopefully not too much whinging or fighting
Pigley - wow at Agigail talking - you've got a smart one there

disneystar1 · 04/08/2009 09:26

hi all

sk about the cp hun.......

pigley shes a clever little girl.....

little Samuels getting so frustrated here he knows what he wants but cant speak at all, which is sad really, not suprising but so annoying for him, we are signing with him and he signs some back to us like milk, food, cuddle etc..... but he gets so upset and puts his head in his hands sometimes

were going to yarmouth i 2 saturdays as the boys call it, i hope it doesnt rain too much there looking so forward to it, well we all are i love spending time with my family makes it all worthwhile doesnt it, whats its all about.

as some may have seen my posts on fb we have booked a hol back to Florida next year, its a long way of in november as we are renewing our vows, as i was 8 mths pg last time

were renewing it i think at the floridian hotel wchich is just beautiful, the settings are georgeous, scenery oh i cant wait, but tbh the planning stage is just great, i keep changing things around my dh just leaves me to it. i want a special pic or pics a dvd done and so want to wear something lovely.
look at my fb pic i had a huge bunch flowers over my 8mth baby bump
had contractions all the way through lol

got to dash sams crying hes been so ill lately poor little man

disneystar1 · 04/08/2009 11:39

well samuel just wants to sleep i guess its ok hes so grumpy and keeps signing to me sleep sleep so i took him up he signed for his teddy gave him iggle piggle and he turned over and slept i wasnt even out of the room.
hes sweaty and isnt hungry poor thing but drinking formula, and juice still.

rumpel hows your little chap doing? any better yet?

sweetkitty · 04/08/2009 12:05

hey ladies

Rumpel and Disney - your poor wee men, hope they are both feeling better soon

Disney - lovely idea to renew your vows, we count everything in big sleeps, 13 big sleeps until DD1 starts school

Pigley - your Abigail is a wee star isn't she, we have Dad, Hiya and Nana here, I am sure most of Bethany's first words will revolve around food and asking for it, she already stands at the baby gate in the kitchen and screams for food, she stole DD2's toast this morning after having 2 squares and a bowl of cheerios, DD2 not happy

bebejones · 04/08/2009 12:33

Had P weighed this am, was a bit of a trauma as the scales were messing about due to her wriggling & screaming so not sure how accurate a reading we got! It wavered anywhere between 18lbs 15oz & 19lbs 9oz did finally decide on 19lbs 6oz though which means she is still following her curve, she has piled on the weight just lately eating everything in sight & really demanding food! Think she has had a growth spurt outwards not upwards as she is definately looking cute and round!! 25th centile(ish) for height & weight now. Also today discussed P being sicky after eating & the nasty nappies. Suggested Dairy intolerence & to cut back slightly & start increasing again in a month or 2. So will have to hold off in getting her off formula.

SK - so sorry about your CP

Rumpel & Disney - hope the little guys are feeling better soon!

Pigley - A is so clever bless her! P says 'Ta' as well but she says it when she gives things to us aswell! Very funny think it's coz we always said it to her when we gave her things! She has butterfly stickers on her wall & DH always says hello & bye-bye butterflies, so now she says 'baa boof' when you leave the room!!

Disney and Rumpel How are your babies? I hope they are better

Pigley I have a talker too, he says Ta, dadda, mamma, Oliver, titi (tilly the dog) Hiya (and pits his hand to his ear when the phone rings! thats cute ) there (well, dere,) when he points to something he wants) It's really cute, he also understands so much, it's amazing, I ask him to wave and he does, kiss and he gives me a huge snog!

M2L Not long now then!!! wow another baby on the thread, I'm so excited!!!!
