{{{Twilight hammers an American flag into the thread}}}
Just laying claim to a bit of the new thread. I'm hoping to finishing reading the other before Sunday night so I can properly post her.

Steaknife · 28/03/2009 08:02

LOL at your nephews grasp of economics Sazzles

Another not so great night here, DH has succummbed to the inevitable and no longer complains, out loud at least, when I bring the baby into the bed. However because the bed is old and soft no-matter where I put her to start with she just slides down the mattress onto me, not helped by her also getting to grips with rolling.

So she ends up with half the bed and DH and I with the other half. So I'm not feeling so rested but at least she slept better.

Wotchoo all doing with your weekends?

Sibh · 28/03/2009 08:15

Planting a footprint here too. I'm feeeling a lot better today, though my scalp is still crawling ...

DD2 is just adorable this morning, chortling at everything. She's cross at the moment though because I'm not feeding her breakfast quickly enough. Cue growling.

Is Cyteen still asleep do you think? The lucky duck.

LoveBuckets · 28/03/2009 08:27

Bookmarking and running. Morning all.

Btw What's the going rate for tooth fairy? DD has her first 2 wobblies.

Miamla · 28/03/2009 09:42

buckets.. its a penny if you're north of the border!

sazzles.. do you geo-cache? [uses secret geo-cache knowing smile to test her]

sibh.. i'm so pleased you're feeling a bit better

steaky.. glad you h\aD a better night too (DS helped me type a bit of your message..bet you'll never guess what bit!)

i'm a bit aRRGGH today. DS woke early, i managed to snooze him with a boob until 8 at which point i gave up so we played for a bit. eventually got up at 8.30. meanwhile DP awake so i asked him if he could get up with DS. His comments included "but you've already chosen to get up", "I'm asleep and you're awake so lets keep it like that" He's out early tomorrow morning so no point suggesting that he does tomorrow instead. [a ngry]

oh and morning all, sorry i've grumped about on our nice new thread

oopsacoconut · 28/03/2009 09:50

Morning all

Not too bad last night - only wake ups at 11, 2 then grumbles until 7when she woke yelling sounded sore and nothing I did could make it better. She is now napping so off to build DH a barrow

oopsacoconut · 28/03/2009 09:50

No scrap that napping comment!

longwayfromhome · 28/03/2009 13:48

{{LWFH makes a claim for Argentina as well and hammers in a pretty pale blue and white flag with a nice smiley sun in the middle right next to the American flag}}

steaknife - so you know some Argentinians ... HA! They are everywhere.

HA!

I have been working out what DS should be called here and I think that shortestWFH is quite a cute nickname. Will use it from hereonin.

We went out this morning so he went down for a nap after a grump while being carried home, without a breastfeed and now I have a really full boob.

Miamla - Harrumph indeed. Much sympathy. My DH is very good and will often get up with DS in the morning (which is generally somewhere between 6 and 7am) - but on the other hand if I get up with him then he gets his breakfast made, I feed him, he gets dressed and ready for the day, and the washing up will often get done as well so it is often a more efficient use of time than a bit of a lie-in. Suspect that this is something due to the male inability to multi-task.

Work busy and stressful, but I guess that I am learning a lot, so good.

LoveBuckets · 28/03/2009 15:01

Steaky if your ILs don't mind, how about just having your mattress on the floor? Then you can make a nest next to you for LO. And sex is far better on a harder bed too.

Dizzy Well done on your chat, always best to wait til you're calm enough to state your case clearly and calmly. Otherwise they just zone out.

My big two have been so cute together since spending so much time together on holiday, they are currently shrieking and chasing each other about in hysterics. Probably over the constant use of the word bum.

I've made buns for a party tomorrow and am doing an experimental oven casserole for tea involving uncooked brown rice and chicken. Even if it doesn't turn out a partially-cooked vomity-looking mess, the kids will probably refuse to eat it anyway. Wish me luck!

dizzydixies · 28/03/2009 18:50

I wouldn't exactly say I was calm buckets but I wasn't shouty, I was upset. And this seems to be a common thing at the moment, am a bit worried mothers day has opened the flood gates and considering going to Dr this week for some antiDs again.

LWFH liking the new nn for DS

DH came home this morning having forgotten to buy milk and had to go back out for it bless him - has since slept until after 4pm uninterrupted although is now upstairs getting ready for his 8pm start - they're making him start an hour earlier tonight because the clocks go back - w*nkers up until this year its just been the luck of the draw which one you were working and of course this was his first year getting the benefit of a clock change

never mind, as of 7am (or is that 6am!!) he will be on annual leave YIPEE!!!

baack later ladies, boobs required elsewhere

Evening all

Dizzy - Pleased to hear you and DH chatted but you are feeling down - remeber you still need to grieve it's hasn't been long and Mothers Day was another big day for you to get through. {{{{hugs}}}} YAY for holidays though. How will the names thread cope whilst you are gone, everyone will have to holdonto their babies or not name them until they have checked with you when you get back!

LWFH - great new name for DS

I wonder how Cyteen is coping??

Miamla - Sounds very familiar Hope you day got better.

Buckets - Have a great party tomorrow - how did the tea go down?

Sazzles - fingers crossed you have sleeping girls by now.

TS - Nice hair.

Steaknife · 28/03/2009 21:12

Evening all, we have had a lovely day here, despite it throwing it down with rain.

We've all just hung out, mooched round town, did the food shopping, ate lovely food and talked.

The baby took a wile to settle, but she hasn't woken since - so I hope she will make it a bit longer. It isn't so much the waking rather than the fact that she won't be left alone without screaming the house down.

Lovebuckets and Sazzles - PILs are giving us a different bed for when we move into the new pad - next weekend I hope. I think it is a bit bigger. In our last place we had two singles pushed together which wasn't the most romantic but we both slept well (as well as you can when preggo or with a new baby) because we had tons of space.
The pad is completely unfurnished, but PILs have been stockpiling for years and are also waiting to move into a smaller place themselves so we are pretty sorted for furniture.

Am very excited about our new place.

LWFH - very cute nn for your lil one, as I recall we also knew an Argentinian when we were in Gran Can.

dizzydixies · 28/03/2009 21:48

is everyone off having a life whilst I sit here watching Juno, eating crisps and dips
