TS these are my favourite ones so far

Miamla · 29/03/2009 10:24

Miamla · 29/03/2009 10:28

TS and these are rather elegant!

Miamla THANK YOU! I really really like the first pair and the last pair. I found a similar pair to the first yesterday. A friend is going with me to tweak the outfit. She, my aunt and cousin have all made me promise not to trade the outfit for the more conservative one I have on hold. My aunt has even asked to borrow my dress for her 30th highschool reunion in a couple of years.

ALBS, I thought Sazzles and Emma managed very well with food while here. I don't recall her refusing anything she was given. Quite honestly they did a better job than me with Reese. I still have my head in the sand as far as regular meals are concerned. Shame on me.

Dizzy we didn't win the lottery here last night either. So much for me getting to buy more nice clothes. BTW my dad would love to have us all in Hawaii. He's really hip on guests...he's retired and can be.

Now off to rage more. I am on a War Path this morning since my hormones have dipped into hell. I am so very excited that AF will be here the day of or the day before my big party. Joy Joy Joy. In the mean time I'll just rage and cry and fuss and fume and bounce emotionally all over the board just for fun.

cyteen · 29/03/2009 16:08

I'm back! From the best hen do ever. Had an amazing time, everything was perfect, DS behaved like a little angel for DP, the sun is shining, all is well

Will catch up in a bit.

Miamla · 29/03/2009 17:36

TS YOU'RE WELCOME! Now continue to bounce away and bid your blue clouds of angst goodbye

Channeled my hormonal self into rearranging two bedrooms. Now if only I could clone myself so one of me could finish all the painting jobs that are not getting done!

CaptainCaveman · 29/03/2009 19:43

Right then, it's just not on. I get to post so infrequently the thread has dropped off my 'threads I'm on' link. In fact, there were no threads on the 'threads I'm on' when I just clicked there . Must give up working so I can mn instead

I'm off tomorrow so I intend to catch up thoroughly.

I am missing you though ladies. Hope you missed me too

Off to boob Oliver, then I've promised ds1 I'll get in the bath with him!

Steaknife · 29/03/2009 20:09

Bonsoir - well I have just about recovered from lunch, which despite my custard seperating a bit, (I blame MIL she was stiring at the time) was a huge success.

I did use the Jamie Oliver meatball recipe in the end as after reading it through it was pretty simple.

I also did toffee apple crumble which was delish, though can't get golden syrup here so I used maple instead. I doubled the recipe to feed 10 but there was nearly half left so it is a generous portion.

Pasta and meatballs made in advance and everthing else done in two hours. DH was suitably impressed despite starting out as a bit of a doubting Thomas.
PILs both had seconds and there are leftovers too

For those that want it the pasta was really easy - 500g of fine semolina and 4 eggs - 5 if they are small. Mix, knead and then run through your machine. T'da!

TS my fave shoes perhaps the ones on the right end of the top row, or the ruffle ones in the middle.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 29/03/2009 20:49

pmal at at your dd1 sazzles I juust love it when they ramble away.
Love the need a fresh nappy bit.
My dd has started to run in our room at whatever time of night/early hours and brings a nappy, lays on the floor with her legs in the air saying 'mummy, nappy, wet'
repeatedly. They are just great.
What does she mean about wanting/not wanting to stand??

Hi all
cyteen so glad you had a great time and dp and ds had great time too.

Steaknife · 29/03/2009 20:55

Sazzles - too funny with you lil one.

We had great success with Izzy's first grown-up meal, previously it has been whatever bit of veg I can dig out of the fridge. So she had pasta and meatballs too, FIL has photo evidence of the Mafia-style carnage that ensued but lots went in, goodness knows what the nappy will be like.

PF - ooh Bath, its so pretty and luverly shops too. Hope you were doing something nice there.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 29/03/2009 21:00

Ds is crawling quite well now too, very sweet to see him lift each hand and drag a knee forward, off to buy some babylegs as his kneww are very rough and red.

vg how was ds after the rash. Was it the strawbs??
ds has come out with a small circular red patch on either cheek. I thought it was something he had eaten too but he has had it for a few days now. My dsis says its to do with teething.

I have now bought 3 dresses, for christening and I dont know which I am going for.
I have issues with looking really white so not quite sure why I have gone for dresses tbh
The latest purchase I couldnt resist from Monsoon. Dh said it was lovley too, but then asked if we were going clubbing as it has sequins on it
may upload pics and ask for advice if that is ok.

dizzychixies · 29/03/2009 21:06

No1 opinions always free on here

sazz bless her my lot have been on great form today which has been nice - all in bed now and I won't be far behind them

cyteen glad you're home unscathed and more to the point enjoyed it

oopsacoconut · 29/03/2009 21:11

Did anyone else have trouble putting LO's to bed tonight - DD looked shocked that I took her upstairs in the daylight. We are still missing a blackout curtain for our bedroom so I had to makedo with a blanket. She was furious when I dared to feed her and do bedtime songs when it was clearly NOT bedtime. Eventually at 7.45 she fell asleep but still not happy - I wonder how long it will take her to adjust.

We had a lovely day out doing the garden centre thing. Dd had a whole roast potato at lunch and then tucked into the pot of applesauce. For dinner we made VG's mackeral pate and she had it on sandwiches. She had a whole pouch of Plum blueberry, banana and vanilla which I thought would tempt her after har not eating the last 3 days. I tried to feed it to her from a spoon but that didn't work she wanted to suck it out of the pouch like she did in the supermarket the other day anything for peace was my response!

Sazzles - Maybe DD2 likes the strong flavours - mozzarella wasn't one of DD's favs but far.

Cyteen - photos are great - much alcohol consumed??

PF - how was Bath today - MANIC??

dizzychixies · 29/03/2009 21:13
