He starts moaning and groning, getting louder and louder til he is crying. If we go in and lift him, or settle him back he goes back off to sleep straight away, but not a deep sleep as we start the whole thing over again an hour later.

Hello all, just got back from our weekend away and wanted to wish Ffion a belated happy birthday and Jack and Erin happy birthday. xx

off to catch up now.

leakyR · 29/03/2009 19:34

Happy Birthday Jack and Erin!

Well we went to Leeds for the party and G was angelic. It was nice to see everyone. The soft play was very small and geared towards toddlers not older children so there was no rough stuff. Had a great catch up with people then at the end when were saying goodbye and G was giving out kisses my friend had to make the comment
"So George, are you not a thug anymore?"
To which I lied through my teeth replied
"No he seems to have grown out of that"
DH was quite amused at my response, but said he could understand my need to defend G.

I too am shattered. I couldn't get comfortable until about 2am despite banishing a drunk dh to the spare room. Then just as I nodded off G woke up and was high pitched screaming. Finally gave in and brought him into my bed, where he proceeded to give me kisses "Tiss mammy" or stroke my hair about every 15 mins until 4.30. We were up at 7.20
We both had a 2 hr nap this afternoon when we got back from the party.

I hope the clock change doesn't cause too much chaos for you all again tonight.

StealthPolarBear · 29/03/2009 20:03

What a witch
And from what you describe, he sounds lovely - if a bit lively in the middle of the night

oooggs · 29/03/2009 21:15

thank you for the birthday wishes - not only did they have to share their birthday with each but is was also an hour less than everyone elses

hope you aren't affected too much by the clock change

StealthPolarBear · 29/03/2009 21:18

lol! Is life so much easier now you have 3 children over 2?

OP posts:
oooggs · 29/03/2009 21:35

life might be easier if I had 4 children over 16 and all having left home

elkiedee · 29/03/2009 22:48

Happy birthday to your twins Oooggs

MJreturns · 30/03/2009 10:45

Happy belated birthday to Jack and Erin Hope you all had a fab day oooggs

Leaky, that woman sounds vile, calling a toddler a thug ffs. Good for you answering her back, there is no way I would have been able to bite my tongue either!

I did suffer a bit for my drunkeness on Saturday. Went to bed somewhere around 3am Saturday morning, then got back up at 7.30am as it was F's birthday.
We were out for the day yesterday too so I am whacked!

geordieminx · 30/03/2009 11:35

GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRR

Got C's statement for his Child Trust Fund this morning - its now worth £159. [angry}

You know what pisses me off more - the wording of the letter that came with it..

"We are pleased to provide a yearly statement"

"And the good news is you still have time to make the most of this account by adding up to £1200"

I really feel like foning them up and asking exactly how is it pleasing to tell me that in 2 years they have lost £100 of my sons money.

Fuckwits

cazboldy · 30/03/2009 11:48

Yep Gm same thing has happened to mollys

MJreturns · 30/03/2009 12:37

Did you put your lo's cheques into the stakeholder accounts then? I just wondered because I think I went for the bog standard savings thing which hasn't made much in interest, but I guess that at least I still have what I paid in iykwim.
Hopefully in the years until they are 18 the market will have much more buoyant times too.

geordieminx · 30/03/2009 12:42

Think is was the middle option IYKWIM, not the highest risk, but not the safest either. Just pleased we havent added anything to it,we opened a seperate account instead.

cazboldy · 30/03/2009 12:45

I did exactly the same as you GM

meant o say, I saw your thread about your wedding flowers!

When is the big day?

elkiedee · 30/03/2009 14:23

GM, I know what you mean, I must open a cash savings account for D and stop the £10 a month into his CTF and put it there instead. I received C's cheque the other day, need to work out what to do with it.

geordieminx · 30/03/2009 16:24

I know Caz - there are some crazy people out there.

StealthPolarBear · 30/03/2009 18:27

hi everyone
Same here with CTF - can't remember exact figure, but £150ish
Just have to see it as a long term thing I suppose
Does anyone know when Dooby's expected back online? Will it be in time for M's birthday?

Sexonlegs · 30/03/2009 20:50

Evening

MJ, hope you are now recovered!!!

GM, with you re the outrage over CTF. I have been paying in to B's ad K's. Going to stop and do something else with the money.

How is everyone?

All ok here. Spent the day with my parents which was lovely. Mum is doing really well. She has a scan next Tuesday to see how everything is [worried]

MJreturns · 31/03/2009 09:28

Hope scan is good SOL, will be thinking of you all xxx

MJreturns · 31/03/2009 09:29

And yes, I am recovered now. Tired today though as I worked nights again last night for the agency in Bristol. No sleep for me until tonight!

MJreturns · 31/03/2009 14:32

No posts since I was on this morning

elkiedee · 31/03/2009 16:15

Hi MJ

It's difficult to know what to say when there's no one around isn't it? Guess everyone's either busy working or with little ones. I've learned the art of handsfree bfing with C so I can mumsnet at the same time. We've been out to the local baby group and got back about 45 mins ago. I'm also watching last night's Young Mums Mansion on the catch up service.

StealthPolarBear · 31/03/2009 17:02

Glad your mum is well SOL, hope the scan goes well.
Nothing to report here, except T slept through again!
