Lolol at mr runny being sportacus! We have a very good costume shop here in yeoil, I can ask if you want?

I am posting drunk tipsy again so please excuse my randomness! (Alos 'V' key not working right so excuse that too!)

stealth - I think it was you, I have missed you all too and hae been feeling very bad about not posting so shall endeavour to keep up from now on!

Have read this thread but remember nothing except funny children! Was rofling at Caz's dc's description of what mummy and daddy do! Very Funny!

Have had a rather eventful day here, I caused a bomb scare at maia's school! She took in a fossil on Monday and one of the teachers today decided it looked rather suspicious so ended up with the police being called out! They took it out to the middle of the school field and took photos of it and sent them off to some war ordnance something or other place who confirmed it was nothing to worry about. But the police have confiscated it so I now have to ring them up and ask for my bomb fossil back please!!

Have to go now to play on the xbox! Will hopefully be back tomorrow more coherently!

Sorry will say that again properly tomorrow! I think I am still in denial that any of them can actually be 2 already!

Oh Ellie - where are you?! Jamie was most upset not to get a happy birthday from you!

sol - how's your mum?

leakyR · 28/03/2009 13:54

2nd attempt to type this.

Happy 2nd birthday weekend babies!

Runny - I hope you find your dh a costume

Going for a rare night out tonight. G is staying over at the house of the people we're going out with. We still haven't found a babysitter here so tonight we're sharing!

Ordered my birth pool and tens last night! Getting organised at last.

Supposed to be heading over to Leeds for a 2nd birthday party tomorrow, but having misgivings. Most of my Leeds mum friends are 1st time mums who have this competitive PFB thing going on. I never really bought into it when I lived there and am still uncomfortable with it.
G is getting his last teeth and has been a bit bitey. In Dec we went over for a get-together and one of the mums went nuts when G bit her daughter on the finger. I was mortified but also a bit at her reaction. Felt like she wanted severe punishment for him. He was 20m ffs! I told him biting was wrong and made him hug her daughter to say sorry. She still makes occasional bitchy "jokey" comments about G on FB. I'm terrified that if things get rough (the party is at a soft play) then G will get the balme or brunt of it. BTW there are some lovely people over there that I'd love to see again, which is why I'm conflicted.

Think if we go I'll have to get dh to watch him like a hawk.

StealthPolarBear · 28/03/2009 15:24

hm have to say if it was me I probably wouldn't go, sorry. The competitive thing gets tiring, and worrying that your normal 2yo will be treated as a hooligan would be stressful!
T's biting phase seems to have stopped thankfully (that wasn't competitive was it? ) but he's gone back to slapping when he's frustrated and kicking when he's having his nappy changed (just kicking legs, naughtiness rather than really wanting to hurt me). I always tell him off and make him say sorry but it doesn't seem to be working yet. It's a pity because 90% of the time he's so loving and happy - suppose that's toddlers!

"I have 3 children under 2"

and that will be the last time I will be able to say/type that

elkiedee · 28/03/2009 19:50

Leaky, a 2nd birthday at a soft play? Sounds scary to me - I don't find soft play that comfortable when it's just Danny to consider, and I'd be worried about him either hurting another toddler or being hurt, biting or pushing or whatever. If you decide to go and see your friends, hope it's fun and there aren't any problems, but if you decide against it, hope you don't feel too bad about it.

Glad you enjoyed yourself last night mj, hope the hangover wasn't too awful, and that Ffion's birthday has been a good day for you all.

Morning

Happy Birthday Jack and Erin

Hi GM; long time no see. Sorry about pants night.

K has been waking in the night for a few days now, and also is crying when I put her down some nights - only for 5 mins or so. I seem to remember B going through this phase too.

Have a good day all. Dh running a 10k this a.m. and we are supposed to be watching him, but the clocks going forward has left me with naff all time to get us all up and ready!

StealthPolarBear · 29/03/2009 09:51

oh no GM Does he go back to sleep when he wakes, or want to be up and about?
What happens if you leave him to cry (if you do)?
