Hello!!!
Hae not caught up at all but have not posted for so long because I have not caught up and don't want to come on and just talk about me so I think 'I'll catch up and then post' but either I read and then don't have time to post or just think I don't have time to read it all now so I'll come back tomorrow but tomorrow is always just the same!
So I am posting cluelessly or I realise I never will!
So - how is everyone?! And how are all the lovely toddlers babies?
Dyaln is absolutely adorable and such a little cutey! He is talking loads and can now recognise and name over 15 of the Thomas the Tank Engine characters, he is completely obsessed!! He is also incredibly determined and stubborn and is NOT a child who can be distracted out of a strop! Luckily hes also a very cheery little boy so its not too much of a problem! Oh if anyone is planning a Thomas party the website Thomas Rocks has lots of party plates, cups etc very cheap!
Nathan just had parents' evening and is doing brilliantly at school. His writing is average (which is betterthan mine! ) but his Maths and reading are 'top' (top of what I'm not quite sure but it sounds promising!), she also said how kind and caring he still is, to the point of sometimes forcing his concern on people! And is very sociable and popular. I amn so proud and so very very relieved after the problems over the summer and he is just so much happier out of school too and goes into school quite happily every morning so its fab!
Maia also had an excellent school report and has apparemtly increased her writing/spelling level by 17 months in the last 6 months which is brilliant. She is still hard work and prone to whingy/stroppy/rudeness but getting better and I am trying much harder to handle it better and guide her into niceness again! I have to say I blame her dad messing her around so much for quite a lot of it, I think its the insecurity and confusion so I am trying very hard to be more understanding of it and more patient. I don't always manage but I am trying!!!
I am in the middle of registering to be a childminder and getting quite excited about it now! I don't think I said before but after having so much trouble sorting childcare and then talking to another CM who told me how much demand there was it seemed like the logical solution. I have done huge amounts of tidying and organising in the house and all the toys are now organised into type! I have a course on the new EYFS on the 20th April as I did my ICP (Introduction to Childminding Practice course) when I was pg with Dylan which was before they brought the EYFS in. And then the following evening I have my ICP exam at the same place near Taunton. I'm hoping to get all my forms sent off next week so should be registered in about 3 months time.
The down side of this is that I have accepted I have to sell my beautiful, sexy little car and buy a gert great big ploddy people carrier AND my car is now worth HALF what it was when I bought it last May But luckily so are most cars so hoping we can get quite a nice Grand Scenic with a key card and push button start so I can pretend its a sports car!
