OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Miamla · 23/03/2009 20:33

DS is ok but no, not in bed, he's still fighting sleep. hey ho

oopsacoconut · 23/03/2009 20:35

DD is still not mobile - she will roll from front to back but hates being on her front so WHY roll onto it?? She sits really well and today she waved at DH when he came home - I thought it was just random but he went outside and wave through the window and she waved back. She is very chatty and says dadadadadadda when she wakes up and is looking for DH - this I think is pretty random but understands when you ask where is she looks around for him.

CC yay for DS taking the bottle - perseverance pays off!

Dizzy - DD has also just realised that if she opens her mouth yoghurt gets in faster. She sucked a Plum blueberry, banana and vanilla pouch empty when in tesco today - now she refuses a spoon when pouches are near

Miamla · 23/03/2009 20:43

oops that's great about DD waving at her daddy! DS gives dP his nicest smiles when he first gets home. how's she liking her new wrap?

dizzydixies · 23/03/2009 20:44

oops thats genius, I think I might start putting all meals into pouches and save on the washing up

CC tis lovely to have you back

miamla glad he's doing ok

have put on some new photos to cheer myself up a bit

PetitFilou1 · 23/03/2009 20:49

dizzy yay for Dylan finally opening her mouth!

They have to be able to sit for 20 mins unsupported to go into next stage car seat, plus be a certain weight (shall bow to others' knowledge on that front as I've no idea)

We've dropped a feed in the morning here as Toby was refusing lunch otherwise. It feels quite liberating not to be relied upon for the whole of the morning. I mean, I could even go to the hairdressers

cc Toby had his elbow dislocated by his big sister - is all fine now

dizzydixies · 23/03/2009 20:52

pf I was just thinking that this morning, am sure if was VG who stated that it was nice not to be the only means of feeding anymore - I agree completely and god knows my hair needs it too

oopsacoconut · 23/03/2009 20:55

Miamla - Wrap is amazing and DD loves it - Thank you again - DH is very impressed by your sewing skills, he reckons you should go pro!

Miamla · 23/03/2009 20:56

i didn't really like losing my sole means of food supply for DS but now its happened i have to admit it is rather "freeing"! is it a mass exodus to the hairdressers for all of us??

dizzydixies · 23/03/2009 20:58

yes I think we deserve it

Miamla · 23/03/2009 20:59

oops that's cool, glad she's happy in it. and your DH is too kind!

dizzydixies · 23/03/2009 20:59

miamla whats your opinion on ERGO baby carriers?

Miamla · 23/03/2009 21:00

hmmm, actually dizz, you any good at finding new hair styles? mine's very fine, dark brown and quite short if you fancy a challenge!

dizzydixies · 23/03/2009 21:01

straight or curly? mine has stupid crinkly waves through it which is a pain in the arse

my dad has finally phoned, am making DH talk to him and tell him I'm in bed, I don't have the energy

oopsacoconut · 23/03/2009 21:03

I have to confess that I am a bit sad that DD is skipping some feeds inorder to eat proper food but it is nice to be able to go to the gym without wondering if she is yelling with hunger if I am longer than 2 hours.

Miamla · 23/03/2009 21:07

fairly straight (i'm still talking about my hair!)

ergos... i've never worn one but they look quite "buckley". seem expensive for what you're getting. personally i prefer the shoulder straps to cross at the back (weight distributed more evenly) and doesn't look like these do. why'd you ask?

pertelote · 23/03/2009 21:08

PF so glad Toby is ok. Must have been grim though.

Oops that sounds like DD - loves sitting, doesn't like being on her front so not much progress towards crawling. Has been pulling herself up to standing too.

Dizzy you poor thing - don't apologise for being in a bad mood, you have good reason. I always think these little attentions should not be too much to expect, but I have stopped expecting any spontaneity about it...

DD so grumpy today. I'm sure she can cry more loudly since her op! And she wants us to know it...

dizzydixies · 23/03/2009 21:09

pertelote I remember coming out of hosp after a week with DD2 and for a while I was just grateful to hear her cry etc - wore off very quickly keep slathering on the arnica

dizzydixies · 23/03/2009 21:15

hair do here andlike this one too

Sibh · 23/03/2009 21:49

Nutella on rich tea, anyone?
Burst pipe in the kitchen. Mayhem. At least DH is here, and the kitchen is a disaster anyway ...

Have fun choosing haircuts.

Miamla · 23/03/2009 21:49

thanks Dizz! you are indeed FSG! i like the first one but my hair's a bit shorter than that. got any others up your sleeve?

oopsacoconut · 23/03/2009 22:20

Night All

DD stirring - I think I should get some sleep whilst she does, it could be a long night again.

Miamla · 23/03/2009 22:21

night oops, I hope your night includes some sleep!

poppysocks · 23/03/2009 22:33

Oh Dizzy . Was thinking about you yesterday and hoping you were okay.

What a nightmare sibh. Glad DH is around to mop up and nutella at hand for comfort. Always works for me. Yum.

Good to see you CC!

Mightily impressed by all these mobile babes. DD2 is sitting really well, but thanking my lucky stars that she stays put. There was an ominous move, twice today, into readiness for crawling, but am pretending I didn't see that. La, la, la.

Glad T is doing well now pf.

We were at a christening last weekend where the vicar also forgot oops. He was half an hour late and arrived to find two v. stressed parents! DD2's is during the Easter Sunday family service, so I don't think that's a problem we'll face .

Hope DS is feeling a bit happier now cyteen.

DD2 is absolutely nowhere near being heavy enough for the next size car seat (a mighty 16lb 6oz today) but unless she's really tightly strapped in will try to peer around the side of the seat and look forward and if she's in the front seat she shifts round to look at me. Gorgeous but VERY distracting.

Right, must be off to bed as DSis here (arrived fine thanks dizzy and DH coping well, so far...). With two babies, a toddler and no black-out blind on the east-facing window of the room that my two are sharing, I suspect it will be an early morning. Night all.
