Hi all

Yes I'm here - just had a very busy few days and been popping on and posting in random places then falling asleep!

We went up to Scotland to see our beautiful niece - she is amazing. I cried when I saw her because I was so happy and relieved for sil and bil (and because I'm a huge soggy mess! ) Feeding is going well after a tricky start and sil looked great. Interestingly it didn't make me at all broody. Considering dh has had the snip that's a good thing! I was just so pleased to be able to welcome this new, lovely family member.

Luce - obviously this news makes me think all the more of you and your family - praying for good news for you all.

Other than that I'm madly busy at work. Looking forward to my birthday on Sunday though - yes that's right my birthday is mothering sunday - so a wodge of presents all on one day (I hope!)

Delighted to hear some of you have had the patter of tiny appliances coming your way. You must be so proud.

Oooggs - as 4 is so easy shall I post you my three as well? Dd1 is really quite handy about the place - although she is showing some teenage stroppy tendancies you may need to stamp on? My washing machine has a huge drum too - it's essential imo!I put some washing in mil's at the weekend and had to take 1/2 out again because it wouldn't fit in her tiny drum.

Leaky hope the GTT rest is good.

Hi to everyone else

No idea what B's getting for her birthday yet - will have to hope for a big bag of money inspiration!

Hello

Luce - hoping that the news is good for your family and the new baby.

Did some one ask about birthdays? G is getting a trike and as his birthday is Easter Sunday we might have an Easter egg hunt in the garden. My mam, bro and sil should be here and a couple of friends from Leeds and their ds might be over for lunch. Going to make a cat cake for G - he is obsessed! Like the look of Mr Dippy's cat cake for one of their dds.

Feeling a bit blah. Everything seems to make me either furious or tearful atm. Hormones.

Last day at work on Friday! That should cheer me up.

runnyhabbit · 18/03/2009 20:31

Evening all

Well, as for birthdays - have no idea what to get the boys. W is on the 11th, and J is 4 on 4th May. We've organised a huge party in the local hall for the 2 of them, somewhere in between the 2 dates.
We've still got ELC vouchers left from Christmas and as luck would have it, we've recieved an ELC Big Birthday club voucher.
They've both got so much, that I'm tight reluctant to buy anymore until we get rid of everything a few things

Bramshott · 19/03/2009 09:09

Things are manic here - I started the day very well by getting up at 6.45 to do some work before the DDs got up. But now they've both gone I've rather ground to a halt! Better have some coffee!

Do you ever feel as if your whole life is based on you being on a treadmill and keeping on running, and that if you stopped even for a moment it would all crash down around your ears?!?

StealthPolarBear · 19/03/2009 10:23

Morning everyone
Bramshott, sorry things are manic - what age do DCs start getting easier?

cazboldy · 19/03/2009 10:50

they dont.....................

StealthPolarBear · 19/03/2009 10:55

you're disqualified from answering
you're too qualified!

StealthPolarBear · 19/03/2009 10:56

OK I'll make the question more specific
When can I next have a shower that doesn't go like this

"Don't touch that....SHUT THAT CUPBOARD....put that back NOW....stop banging the door....DON'T LICK THE TOILET!"

cazboldy · 19/03/2009 10:57

lol only when he is out of the house!

cazboldy · 19/03/2009 10:58

reminds me of the "Large Family" books.... so true .......

Doobydoo · 19/03/2009 11:01

and yes Bramshott.
M up being sick through night. It seems to happen if he has had abit too much chocolate[he can tolerate small amounts of dairy]think it might have been bananas this time though. He seems to be like dp food intolerance wise.I still feel yucky hope it is because I am tired and trying to sort stuff. My back is also so sore.
Sorry re lack of personals..have good day all.x

Doobydoo · 19/03/2009 11:02

was for SPB!

StealthPolarBear · 19/03/2009 11:02

dooby

oooggs · 19/03/2009 11:02

yes Bramshott - I also feel that sometimes life is going so fast like a roundabout and I can't keep up with it all - makes me dizzy (goes with the blonde hair )

I am now doing my first load of washing in over 8 weeks - so excited

I doesn't get easier - just different - James is easy (no nappies, eats anything, sleeps well) but has other issues (attitude, answering back, asking lots of questions (that mummy can't answer))

that was just an example

StealthPolarBear · 19/03/2009 11:03

Can I ask a personal question oooggs - how on earth do you shower?!

oooggs · 19/03/2009 11:03

oh dooby - I cross posted - hope things improve and that the sun is shining where you are - always makes me feel better

oooggs · 19/03/2009 11:06

first thing in the morning whilst they are awake but not out of their cots

or on a nursery day when I get back

also my bathroom and front room is on the same level so I can leave them in there. It is gated so there isn't much they can get up to.

It is easier to leave dts as they have each other to play with, I couldn't do that with ds1.

StealthPolarBear · 19/03/2009 11:09

That all sounds very sensible
I think you get coping strategies when you have more than one

CaptainDippy · 19/03/2009 11:29

You certainly do

Totally ditto to those feelings Bramshott Tis a treadmill of doom

On a more not SPB's "DON'T LICK THE TOILET!" made me laugh a lot!!

Bramshott · 19/03/2009 13:35

I'm glad you know what I mean!

Mostly at the moment it's work stuff which is causing the stress, but that means the domestic stuff has to fit into the gaps. Like today I have at least 4 more hours of work to do, which has to be done today, but at 3.30pm the DD's will arrive back through the door and there are just not enough hours to fit it in! I feel jealous of DH who is able simply to stay at work until he's done! What I will probably end up doing is snapping at them, and then parking them in front of the telly because I have no other option!

Right, better whizzzzzzz.

cazboldy · 19/03/2009 16:48

what would you do with a 12 year old that tips out all the toy boxes just because you tell him to go to his room because he bent his sister's fingers back trying to snatch he wii remote off her

1....2.....3.....4......5.

I am so close to really losing it..... don't know what else to do

am hoping typing this will make me feel better..............

StealthPolarBear · 19/03/2009 17:13

caz
Bed time soon...

Northernlurker · 19/03/2009 18:25

Can somebody come round and load my dishwasher, fetch my daughter from Drama, get my baby ready for bed (including bedtime breastfeed please) and order me a pizza?

No?

Tsk, tsk!

I am SO tired today - work is great but relentless. I think I've achieved quite a bit today but I'm too tired to be sure

Anyway dh will be home later and we are having pizza - and it's ER tonight so all goo really

OP posts:
Northernlurker · 19/03/2009 18:26

'good' not 'goo'

goo obviously describes my brain.....

It's my last day at work tomorrow! Will have to go in at stupid o'clock as I've got loads to do before the end of the day but by 4pm tomorrow, I will be the big pregnant fool skipping through central Manchester

Still 7 weeks to go before due date but I am knackered and morning sickness is back with a vengeance.

SPB -LOL at "Don't lick the toilet" G is obsessed with the toilet atm. Not licking it, but likes to get his hands in at any opportunity.

Right off to make brownies to take in tomorrow.

Have a good evening.
