Jam your poor poor dsis. Is your mum with her?

Scoot ! How did he break his leg? Just not what you need right now....

How did the cake end up April? Is it J's birthday today or tomorrow?

Eleven children LG&T, is enough to break any sane woman, which leads me to believe perhaps you are not Have a lovely weekend with dh. My sister is due in about a month and is also up and down with her bp.

MKG, so lovely to hear from you! Sorry about dh, but it's quite normal for both of you to be all over the shop at the moment. I remember giving dh a terrible terrible time after J was born... Fingers crossed you are all back to an even keel soon. How are the boys with their little sister?

I'm glad you got the little giftie

MmeJaffaB · 18/04/2009 13:30

jam I'm so sorry, lots of love and fingers crossed for good treatment. Scary times!

twelveyeargap · 19/04/2009 10:06

Jam, I'm sorry to hear about your sister. Fingers crossed her treatment goes well. I hear that it usually does at this stage.

MKG - I'm pretty sure you said something really similar about your marriage shortly after you had C! Bear with it until life "normalises" a bit before you make any life-changing decisions. Lots of love to you!

LG&T, seriously, 11 children in the house. I would have been carried out in a straight jacket. Hope your treatment is ok. Obviously it won't be pleasant... Fingers crossed for your DB too.

Any news yet, MrsJB?

I have posted a thread in Health about my Mirena/ non-existent libido. Any thoughts appreciated. I'll probably get no replies because I posted on a weekend. DH unbelievably, has offered to have the snip if we exhaust all other possibilities. He must be really, really desperate for a shag. Ah no, he actually feels sorry for me having my body messed about with.

Things not looking too awful here. DH will be paid for at least three months. His contract says he can't work for another bank for 6 months, but it's hard to enforce the second, non-paid three month period. He's heard on the grapevine that there are two people from another firm lined up to join his desk so he's trying to get info on it. It would mean an unfair dismissal case (and one would hope a settlement), because obviously they can't cite financial/ headcount reduction reasons to him for his redundancy and then hire two new people to do the same job. He's getting a lawyer on Monday. He's very upbeat about it all. Has had some informal interviews and has some options, it seems. He's said we're not to spend any extra money, but he's still going ahead with replacing the car when one is found for us and I don't have to sack the cleaner or childminder just yet. Hurrah. I was going to do some temp work, but he said he'd prefer I stayed home so he's free to network/ blah blah. Am almost disappointed. I have just slimmed back into my pre-baby work clothes and I would have enjoyed the "break". Might revisit the idea in a few weeks when he's chilled out a bit. He's a bit "manic" at the moment. Full of adrenaline I think.

largeginandtonic · 20/04/2009 07:42

Morning all.

Do you know what woke me up this morning (after the 5am feed that is) Beau. Not just Beau but Beau on the trampoline in the garden screaming like a banshee. He had escaped while a boy was letting Mrs Carrots out. It was 7am... the poor neighbours.

DH gone for a month. Oh feck.

TYG glad your dh seems upbeat, come here ifhe needs some peace in the day to network play pc games

TMAM it was ok, they all play nicely. Never fight between themselves, they never have. Very odd but great! What is your sis having? How exciting

I am going to call the girl India Bluebell. What do you think?

OP posts:
Themasterandmargaritas · 20/04/2009 09:31

LG&T at Beau. God him and J together would be a nightmare. J is now in a big bed and this morning got down, still in his sleeping bag, went to the toilet and put the entire loo roll down it. Yesterday he ran off with the toothpaste ate it and smeared it all in his bed, smacked the living daylights out of a visiting 3 year old, touched the electric fence (ow mummy, hand hot, hand hurt), threw a sharp edged toy plane at a visiting 5 year old and so it goes on and on.....

Gulp at dh going away, have you got plenty of friends to come and help?

Dsis does not know what she is having, she has a boy aged 3 and is secretly secretly hoping for a girl (as is her auntie!)

I do find it easier when there are lots of friends around too I have to admit. There is a lot less internal scrapping.

Personally Bluebell is a bit, y'know, sleb for me. What was wrong with Rose?!

TYG, sorry about the lack of libido, I found mine only 'came back' quite recently... I've used copper coils in the past and they were great. It sounds like dh is very positive and riding that wave of euphoria that the thought of change, sometimes brings. Fingers crossed something comes up for him soon.

Btw, thank god you don't need to bin the CM just yet.

I've been sorting out Playmobil all morning sometimes I wonder why we bother buying the dc any decent toys at all....

AprilMeadow · 20/04/2009 10:09

and LOL at Beau - he is a pickle! Ella gets out of her bed and every morning without fail wakes Jack up! Doesnt matter what the time is.

Am really proud of the cake - pics on FB as couldnt up load to here. J is 4 on Friday - scary!! Was sat twiddling thumbs 4 yrs ago as he was due on the 18th.

Both names are pretty LG&T but i do prefer Rose.

MrsJB, i cant find my spreadsheet........think it might be on my laptop..... can email you the ones in my diary though

MmeJaffaB · 20/04/2009 11:54

Yes please AM..

I am with Rose too. Good Luck tomorow, will be thinking if you both. xx

No news yet tyg

Themasterandmargaritas · 20/04/2009 12:04

I have the original spreadsheet, i assume we are talking birthdays? Shall I send it MrsJB?

Can you not call them MrsJB?

MmeJaffaB · 20/04/2009 13:47

Thanks TMAM.

Thanks AM.

Happy waiting, what we don't know can't change things at the moment...

largeginandtonic · 20/04/2009 15:08

You must hear soon!

I just had the shopping trip from hell. Beau screamed all the way round the shops He was a nightmare.I give up i truly do, you can not reason with the mini psycho. He goes all sweaty and red and his glows i tell you.

I have no libido either. It has vanished. Nothing tempts me. Poor dh doesnt know whats hit him. I have explained it is bf and not him but you know what they are like. I mean fsg he looks like a movie star and am a flump with extra jiggly wobbly bits and he thinks i don't fancy him Bonkers.

Rose, really? Oh i dunno.

Am off to look at FB.

SKYTVADDICT · 20/04/2009 17:19

Love the cakes AM. We have had a mini trampoline donated by a friend so will be buying the ELC sand and water play tray I think for Cs birthday.

Been to ELC today and bought a fireman outfit for a party on saturday - it is huge on him. Will mobile the piccie to fb (DD2 is in her PE T shirt because she LOST her T shirt at school today!!)

I also like Rose LG&T but its your choice when it comes down to it

Libido just about returning here - DP doesn't know whats hit him. I think sterilisation was definitely the way to go for us. I hadn't heard about the Mirena coil affecting anyone yet. In fact I have one single friend and hers is definitely not affected if you know what I mean!!

twelveyeargap · 21/04/2009 00:07

Thinking of you and your bro LG&T. Breastfeeding made my libido vanish and my poor DH thought it was him as well. > I like Rose... I reckon you're just having a mini-crisis about it. I went through a few weeks of thinking I made a mistake about O's name. Especially after I realised that if anyone called him Mr O. , it rhymed FGS. Anyway, had to get over it and now I like the name again. Seriously, India Rose is gorgeous.

Hopefully today will be the day MrsJB.

AprilMeadow · 21/04/2009 07:22

Thinking of you and your brother today LG&T xx

JamInMyWellies · 21/04/2009 08:53

LG&T Hope all goes well today, x.

MrsJB any news?

TYG you DH sound exactely like my DP did although from what I could gather networking meant long lunches. Its good he is being so positive. We have had a few friends made redundant recently and those that have really cracked on with job hunting during their gardening leave have been pretty succesfull those that have enjoyed 3 mnonths of daytime telly are really struggling to find something.

Currently in the middle of tantrum No.4 of the day so far

Lachie full of cold so up 4 times with him last night.

Tillyscoutsmum · 21/04/2009 09:02

Thinking of you and your brother today LG&T xxx

And just to be awkward, I prefer Bluebell (nothing wrong with Rose but I just like slightly more unusual names as middle names).

Hi to everyone else

Pinkjenny · 21/04/2009 09:57

Tilly - well, we talk on FB, so I'm leaving you out

AM - I speak to you most days, so you too

Mrs JB - I lost 10lb this week!!

Jam - So sorry to hear about your sister, sending you lots of positive thoughts and hugs if you need them. L is a bit like that with the tantrums, either she has none all day, or she has one every five minutes.

TYG - crap news about dh's job, I'm sure he will be fine, it happened to M in 2006, he was 'out of work' for 5 weeks only. He was a bit gutted I think, he waimagining lots of playstation time. Great news about the pre-baby clothes though!

LG&T - I am still not sure whether B's tantrums are a patch on L's. Good Gordon, the girl is totally unreachable when she starts, it is so embarassing, I never knew such a small child would have the capacity to wind me up so much.

Sky - sounds like you're having fun . L is getting that water/sand affair for her birthday too.

TMAM - what is it with the bloody loo roll?

MKG - Gld to hear A is OK. Would agree with TYG though, wait for things to get back to normal a bit, before making any life-altering decisions about dh. Sending you love.

And me? Well, I must admit, I've been avoiding you all of late. I am feeling like a total victim about this ttc business, and it started to feel a bit like everyone was pg or had just had a baby except me. All three of my RL friends that had babies at the same time as me are pg also.

I am trying to get a grip though, and remember that there really is no rush . I am finding it all quite hard though. I think because I so want to be able to give L the sibling that I never had, and really didn't want there to be a big age gap. Feels a bit desperate, somehow. All this, and I'm only starting cycle 3!

Otherwise, we are all well. I'm still a little worried about the hip appointment, but hoping that all is fine. L and I went to Baby Loves Disco on Sunday with Suwoo and her brood + bump, and although it was a little random , we had a lovely time, as we always do. We had a lovely day together yesterday also, at the beach.

L is a delight (most of the time), but definitely has horns. She turns on a sixpence, and her tantrums are very unpredictable. She never stops rabbiting on either. And we have just entered the 'Why?' phase. Always said with total disdain, as if I'm asking her to do something completely ridiculous.

M is fine, we are fine. Just trying to decide what to do about a holiday. Scoot and I are off to see Girls Aloud on Friday, so am looking forward to much fun and debauchery with her.

I'll try to stop lurking and start posting.

Love to you all.

Pinkjenny · 21/04/2009 10:13

And I also prefer Bluebell. [wannabe emoticon]
