HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR APRILMEADOW
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!

Have a lovely day xxx

Yes, Abby, sorry lovely name and no reflection on your choice honestly, the wink was beacause of what AM explained.

SKYTVADDICT · 14/04/2009 09:19

Happy Birthday AM.

Just off to ring GP re Cs rash - hope I get on better than you AL!

SKYTVADDICT · 14/04/2009 09:24

We have a triage system so am awaiting a call back!

Went to my Great Nephews christening on Sunday but forgot to take the camera! I had the boys dressed the same for once and they looked very cute. It was a nice day but very tiring. They had 135 adults and 40 kids and we had to watch C like a hawk. If he sees an open door he runs for it, and he did on a number of occasions! There were stairs just over the landing too but luckily he turned left each time he got out towards to lift. He thought it was hilarious!

SKYTVADDICT · 14/04/2009 09:40

Well would you believe it? They have just prescribed over the phone again! He said it could be a fungal infection and has prescribed a cream and if that doesn't work I ring again.

Last week they prescribed more infant gaviscon for Lewis even though another GP had wanted to review at end Feb.

It saves on lots of appointments I suppose

Good luck with yours AL

JamInMyWellies · 14/04/2009 16:25

unfuckingbelievable just tried to get an app for Lachlan at the Dr's been told next avai app 7th May unless its urgent then come down and que for a couple of hours!!!!

Sky & Abby hope your LO's are better.

LG&T I have no idea how you do it. Hats off bows down to your greatness. Hope all goes well with the various appointments.

AM Happy Birthday my lovely.

Hello TYG.

Well the house of mouse is finally under control many have died a horrific mouse trap death in their lust for peanut butter we found their food stash in the garage (the bird food) hopefully all gone now.

Right tea-time....

AbbyLou · 14/04/2009 16:46

Jam, glad you've got rid of your furry friends. I can't believe you have to wait that long for L's appointment. I managed to get one for R tomorrow morning at 10 so hopefully I'll get something for her rash.
I did a big next Directory order today, I fancied a new top for the weekend and some shoes. Of course I threw in a few bits for the kids, they always need new stuff don't they?!?

AprilMeadow · 15/04/2009 07:51

Thanks for the birthday messages ladies
Went shopping with dh and got some clothes and an iPhone. Still inputting all the numbers from my other phone - its taking AGES!! Went out for a bite to eat with dh last night which was nice.

JAM [shock ] that they are making you wait that long! Can you not phone for an emergency appt?

AbbyLou · 15/04/2009 08:33

Glad you had a good day AM, very of the iPhone.
Well don't know what we're doing today yet apart from the drs. The weather looks pretty awful so probably not much. I think the kids have had enough of each other now, they are starting to wind each other up a bit.

AbbyLou · 15/04/2009 11:38

We've got some new cream to try for R's nappy rash, Drapolene this time. He says he thinks it is just nappy rash but a stubborn one that is proving hard to get rid of. He gave ne all the spiel about changing her nappy as soon as she's wet or dirty - as if I don't! He made me feel a bit stupid to be honest!

Pinkjenny · 15/04/2009 12:28

Where is Scoot!!!! She is totally AWOL.

SKYTVADDICT · 15/04/2009 12:48

Hopefully she is out spending the money that will come with her DHs increased responsibility!

That is crap AL - GPs can be really horrid. No change in Cs rash yet so it may not be fungal after all.

The iphone sounds nice AM. I need a new phone but not one of them. Can't decide what to get.

Jam - your GP surgery is appalling! Our new triage system is so much better. People have been complaining about the Receptionist asking what the problem is but they don't really understand they don't actually have to tell her.

elkiedee · 15/04/2009 19:53

Jam, sorry to hear you have another rubbish GP. Every time I hear stories like yours I realise how lucky I am with our GP. dp is registered with another practice in the same building (I think they split after they moved there) but he took D to a follow up appointment (he wasn't well last week) today and the GP that D, C and I are all registered with kept him talking for a while, following up on various discussions I've had with her. I suspect she also intervened in my favour with the hospital recently.

AbbyLou, the Next Directory is a terrible temptation - hope everything you've bought turns out to be nice.

AprilMeadow · 15/04/2009 21:14

so have made a decision and chosen the names......

Lucy Alexandria or Alexander (Alex) William

My grandad was an Alexandria (his dad got the spelling wrong, should have been Alessandre - a port of something) had to suffer letter addressed to Ms/Miss for 83 years and William is dh's grandad who brought him up.

There, all done - phew

AbbyLou · 15/04/2009 21:47

Love the names AM! William was one of our names both times!

AprilMeadow · 15/04/2009 22:37

Abby i got sucked into not only a next order but also a mini boden one! Have hidden some of it from dh and will pretend it was birthday pressies

Themasterandmargaritas · 16/04/2009 05:51

April, lovely classic names that go so well with J & E. Lol at the thought of your grandad being an Alexandria.

I have a large mini Boden basket waiting to go . I have managed to find a 15% off discount but am holding out for finding a 20% off.

I hope all those poorly botties are on the mend.

We had a wonderful safari as can be seen on FB. We all survived even though it poured.

Love the names AM

The photos look brilliant TMAM. What a way to spend Easter.

I have to go an sign on today and show them 6 things I have done to look for work! It has been the kids easter break so tbh I haven't really done that much but can probably blag it. I did apply online for an NHS job yesterday but it is at Lincoln Hospital which is about 18 miles away and a pig to get to in rush hour. The job sounded good though, 18.75 hours, Personal Secretary to the Lead Macmillan Nurse.

AprilMeadow · 16/04/2009 08:54

TMAM your pictures look amazing and the children look so happy.

It is a relief now we have the names, as i have been going round in circles. When we first found out AW was the name for a boy, but because J has a friend called A (not a very close friend) i decided against it. I have thought of so many names but none felt 100% right. Roll on the 27th so we can find out

JAM did the woofer catch any flies?

Having lunch with my old boss today, taking the kids over to play with hers for a bit, then off to J's best mates birthday tea.

Pink, how was your shake?

JamInMyWellies · 16/04/2009 10:33

Good luck SKY.

AM I love the names you have chosen, you are so organised we were still uhmming and ahing over names when I was in Labour.

PJ very poignant thread yesterday.

Abby drapolene is what my mum used pink and stinky. Hope it works.

Finally got an app for L on Monday arvo.

The dog got loads of flies I now have dog slobber all over the walls though.

A started nursery yesterday the poor boy was absoloutely distraught refused to eat or drink and sat on someones knee all day whimpering Tell me I am not the most horrible mummy in the world and that he will get better at going.

charleymouse · 16/04/2009 10:58

Morning all, hope everyone is okay and all those bots are better soon
Love the names AM, may have to borrow some.

AprilMeadow · 16/04/2009 10:58

You know that in a week A will be fine. Just remember that he is almost 2 and has spent every waking minute with you. He just needs a little time to adjust. You just wait, it wont be long before you take him in and he is gone without so much as a bye or a kiss!! You know from your experience as a nanny that it takes a while for children to adjust to new surroundings, toys, people etc A will be fine x

Themasterandmargaritas · 16/04/2009 11:17

Poor wee A. It will be tough for him at the beginning but soon he will want to be there more than he will want to be at home, that's when it gets really sad. J still yells when I go downstairs fgs. We have put off him going to 'school' until Sept. I can't be bothered with the hassle, nor the cost and everything he does there he does here anyway. Besides what would Elizabeth do?

I too remember drapolene

What's wrong with Lachie Jam? I hope it's nothing serious if you have to wait that long. My woofers spend a lot of time chasing Ibis. They never catch them though.

Good luck today Sky.

Pink, I must admit to shedding a few tears yesterday, it was an emotional day for many. I remember it all so well. I hope today finds you feeling a bit perkier.

How are you feeling now Charley? Did you feel this bad at the beginning of both your other pregnancies? Have you been downing that ginger tea? May I just ask also, if you have had one set of twins, does it increase your chances of having another? Just wondering out loud really.....

charleymouse · 16/04/2009 11:43

Hi TMAM
I think I am no higher risk than anyone else as DTs were identical so just a freak occurence IYSWIM. But as I am older and overweight my body might be sending out more eggs at once in a bid for me to reproduce so the chances may be higher due to that.

TBH I feel croc, I have had upset stomach for 10 days I threw up in the kitchen between the sink and the loo on Tuesday and had only had ginger biscuits and water FGS. I have contemplated there may be two but am reassured by AMs sickness and there only being one in there. Although to be honest I may shed a tear when they tell me only one is hiding in there. I have lost 3lbs this week and that can't be good, DH is cross with me and says I am not making enough effort. I tried to explain that if people are mad about losing weight they will take laxatives and vomit and unfortunatley not by choice that is what is happening to me.

Had to dash earlier as MW rang and have not told work yet. Not sure how long I can keep it up though as my tendency to heave everytime I smell food is going to give it away soon I am sure. Have an apt for reassurance scan on 24th, and booking in apt on 27th.

Obviously will keep you updated of progress.

Contemplating homebirth although think they may not allow it. Any advice LG&T, anyone? Your DTs were section weren't they? Although obviously you are younger and fitter than me.

Must go as supposed to be working and funnily enough feel rough so may go and get a snack.

charleymouse · 16/04/2009 11:44

Jam tis just a phase, tis just a phase.
