keepingitRia · 25/02/2009 21:07

that crept up on us.

you need some horsebrasses and candlesticks natty, then you can sit on the sofa and polish them like my gran used to do

haven't looked at TV yet. I should be studying, but I'm not motivated enough tonight. I want something to eat too, but I don't know what.

LackaDAISYcal · 25/02/2009 21:15

found you

you bloody better take it easy young lady . Your body is telling you to slow down; listen to it!!!! (very hard, I know, with another two toddlers to look after!)

I've been watching masterchef and now grand designs...oh and looking for a new car seat for DD. The one she is using was DS1's when he was little and has been through my neice in between and it's just getting a bit old and tired. The straps are starting to look like they are on their last legs and I'm paranoid about it. Can't decide whether to replace like for like (it's a Britax Si) or get one that covers groups 1, 2 and 3 so will do her for much longer, but Which states that those aren't as good as the individually grouped ones. Oh, and then there's isofix or not to isofix to add to the confusion, and the fact that DH wont be getting his actual company car for another four months (the one he is driving at the min is just a hire car) so we don't know whether whatever we buy will fit or not

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 25/02/2009 21:17

no im hungry too, i suppose it had better be fruit or something. i am TRYING to be good, 2 stone is alot to gain.

baby still kicking me, my back hurts now tho, think i came down on it a bit hard.

i might curl up in bed with laptop and a dvd soonish.

funny u should say that but i DO have candle sticks in the cupboard.. bugger polishing them tho

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 25/02/2009 21:20

oh daisy carseats are SO confusing arnt they.
i personally wouldnt go for the multigroups ones incase DH changes jobs and therefore cars and it doesnt fit the next car? just a thought, my friend had to replace hers cos she couldnt get it in the new car.

oh and dont worry im sitting on my arse still

keepingitRia · 25/02/2009 21:57

can't decide whether to wait up for DH or just go to bed.

glad you got some positive responses on your other thread natty, I was reading one the other day by someone who was PG and doing slimming world and it turned a bit . I seem to remember my GP recommending SW as his wife had done it when PG. I think one of my Rosemary Conley books has a section on PG too. Sensible healthy eating though should be OK. lots of the good stuff and not too much of the crap.

And Ria should practice what she preaches

No idea about car seats daisy. DM&F bought baggins his, I have no idea what make it is.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 25/02/2009 21:57

I've been working. Two and a half hours on my sewer model. Don't worry it's a mathematical model, I don't have 1:500 scale models of sewage pipes (with teeny tiny pontipine poos in? ) in my house!

Jamlet had spotty looking arms in the bath tonight. Wonder if she is heading for the chicken pox? I heard of another case of it in our neighbourhood today. See how she is in the morning I guess.

We are meant (chicken pox permitting) to be visiting friends tomorrow. They only live just over a mile away by the direct route. But the direct route is a footpath across a field. I've walked it loads of times by myself in the past and once with the buggy in the summertime, but am wondering how the ground will be tomorrow. I don't think we've had a lot of rain recently to make it too muddy...

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 25/02/2009 22:00

Daisy, we had isofix for the first car seat for jamlet - on the principle that she would sometimes want to take the car seat away from the car with her in it and the isofix made that easy peasy. But beyond that stage I don't think I would bother. We certainly didn't for the seat she has now. At last Bumble can use whatever you get after her, so you'll get a bit more use/value out of it

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 25/02/2009 22:01

we would (not she would!) want to take the car seat away

LackaDAISYcal · 25/02/2009 22:05

no such luck jammy as DD and bumble will both be in a group 1 seat at the same time . I can see a point where he will be bigger/heavier than her in the not too forseeable future!!

keepingitRia · 25/02/2009 22:11

I am disappointed that you don't have a Hornby-type sewer model in your dining room jammy.

Did you read the thread about childrens lies? I was ROFL.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 25/02/2009 22:17

Nah, not read that one - link? (I'm lazy tonight)

keepingitRia · 25/02/2009 22:19

here

I'm off, G'nite.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 25/02/2009 22:19

Thanks and night.

LackaDAISYcal · 25/02/2009 22:21

with teeny tiny rats to go with the pontipine poo

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 25/02/2009 22:27

Oh, no I couldn't have rats in my model, I'm allergic to them!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 25/02/2009 22:30

Right, I'm off too. Hope it doesn't take me hours to get to sleep tonight. Not sure what it is, I normally go up to bed on my own and fall asleep no problem, but when DH's away it takes forever

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 25/02/2009 23:30

i think it was the way i worded the other thread that meant i didnt get slated, as i just asked how to fill myself up without pigging out.
dieting and pregnancy is a big no-no on here lol, almost as bad as saying "im thinking of weaning my baby at 4 months"

lol at the mini sewers jammy!! i will have crazy dreams tonight now u wait!
(pictures mini rats and pontipine children running about going "memeeem meee" covered in poo)

im still up, waiting for hubby to come home. i worked out how to get this baby kicking like mad. put the laptop on my belly.. LMAO! i wonder if it feels like its being ignored

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 26/02/2009 09:25

Morning all Hope your dreams weren't too bizarre Natty.

Well no spots on Jamlet this morning so we're going out But I need her to wake up from her nap first. Am bored in the meantime though

FrazzledFairyFay · 26/02/2009 11:44

ROFL at the teeny tiny pontipine poos

Jammy, don't worry too much about the pox. DD has been through two 'outbreaks' at nursery, been to numerous parties, playdates, etc where a child has turned out to have it, and still hasn't caught it.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 26/02/2009 13:24

TBH Fairy, I'm not too bothered about her getting it, but her having it and me not realising and taking her out so other people get it IYSWIM. But of course, she could have picked it up at any time without us knowing and be passing it on without me realising. It's only because I know someone who has it that I feel I should be being extra cautious.

Well walked 30 mins hard walking across the fields to get to my friends (path was very uneven, 45 degree incline across the path on some stretches so poor jamlet was leaning heaviliy to one side, and very muddy in patches too. All in all very hard going even for the hardy P&T. But it was the quick route, as we found when we took the easy going but 1 hour route coming home. Still, all good exercise for me and I had an upper body work out going there, trying to keep control of the buggy and a cardio work out coming back

FrazzledFairyFay · 26/02/2009 19:14

That sounds like a proper workout Jammy, rather you than me .

Dh has just rung me three times during the crucial ten minutes when he knows I am putting the DCs to bed. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. Needless to say i didn't answer. I then called him back and he told me he was calling for the AAs number as he's broken down. I looked it up and called back and his mobile's engaged - presumably because he's used his blackberry to get the number himself. Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh MEN

FrazzledFairyFay · 26/02/2009 19:21

Now he's bloody well put the phone down on me. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Sorry, had to get taht off my chest.

LackaDAISYcal · 26/02/2009 19:40

gosh it's been quiet here today.

busy busy day for me. Wacky Warehouse for toddler time (DD loved it), then ferried DH to the clinic for his Op, dropped some money to school for DS1 for the toy sale, back here for a quick lunch and a cuppa with PILs then off to the hospital for a pre-op assessment, back here and then have been dealing with grumpy DD, screaming DS2, wincing pathetic DH and my lovely (for a change ) DS1.

bumble screamed for nearly three hours this afternoon (thankfully I was out for two of them though!!). Gave him calpol when I got back, which calmed him down enough so that he could have a feed, and he has been dozing on and off and either screaming or whimpering or sobbing when awake. No idea what's going on with him ; no temperature to speak of, but he is still a bit pukey. It's either teeth or ears or tummy.

Assessment went OK, now I just have to wait for a date for the operation. As you said Norty; it'll be sometime within the next 18 weeks

FrazzledFairyFay · 26/02/2009 19:49

Wow, that is a hectic day. Sorry to hear Bumble is miserable, it is so hard at that age when they can't give you any indication of what's wrong.

Did Dh's op go ok?
