ann I use Huggies swim nappies - they start at 7kg as the smallest size - apparently you used to not be allowed to take babies swimming before 6M hence the large smallest size.

AnnVan · 27/02/2009 10:56

thanks ladies - now o decide which shop is more likely to have them - tesco or morrisons.

sambo303triesforScotland · 27/02/2009 11:01

sainsburys also stock them

Morning! 2 poorly boys in the Caveman household. dS1 has goo coming out of his ear and spent lots of last night crying in pain , plus he has a very red throat and swollen tonsils. Ds2 has got the same cough that we all have. Consequently I look like I've been in a boxing ring with the darkest circles around my eyes!

Hey ho, I'm off to get in the shower now that Oliver has finally gone to sleep.

Family trip to docs later!

AnnVan · 27/02/2009 11:28

CC sorry for your poor boys!
OK - Huggies it is. Unfortunately we only have Morrisons and a really small, crappy tescos near us. Also have a Netto now actually it opened recently, but can't bring myself to go in there [snob emoticon]

dizzydixies · 27/02/2009 11:51

oh, whats a Netto?

TwilightSurfer · 27/02/2009 11:52

Captain {{hugs}} please share that with the boys.

Huggies Swim Diapers here!! Just purchased a bag yesterday.

PF you are correct. DH is not a smoker and never has been. Oh your DH might be interested that my DH's doc put him on the Niaspan protocol. That's 8 weeks on a very high dose of B vitamins(mainly Niacin). I read over the documentation yesterday and will start him full speed ahead the day we return from the beach since it says to allow for a few hours to pass between beer intake and pill intake. I can't be responsible him following THAT while on the beach vacation.

Dizzy YEAH!!!!! on that appointment. As for family being an accident I guess it does lend itself to helping rationalize the ILs. My will be here NEXT weekend. The weekend I should be packing for the beach. They are coming up to celebrate DD1's birthday (LATE) and have told me to go by her gifts from then and they'll give me money (this after they grumbled about my Christmas gift choice) AND they want ME to make their hotel reservation...they know how to dial a phone AND they know how to use the internet PLUS they have a credit card WHY DO THEY NEED ME TO MAKE THEIR RESERVATION???? I've already told DH I am NOT buying gifts they can give DD1 the money straight. AND I am NOT making a reservation for them either! I AM NOT A F@%&ing SECRETARY!!!!!!!

Longway, my dd1 at 6 months took to the water thing naturally. I just plopped her in and she didn't suck too much water in. All good!

Ann thanks for the breakfast.

Miamla will be hidying shortly too. (hopefully myself teehee).

Sambo 6 miles NICE!!

Buckets...pubbing

I am a wee bit under the weather here myself. Yesterday afternoon my nose sprung a leak and has run like an open faucet every since. Very very odd. It's like an allergy type drain but can't figure out what set it off. Overloading on OJ this morning with a touch of Complex Vitamin B.

cc poor caveboys
sambo - wow that will be some walk! well done!

uggies. did someone mesntion buggues? l;a la la i have my new luna in the car. lovely luna! Love my silver cross for local walking though - have it rear facing which ds loves. Won't mention the other pushchairs stashed away.

re poos. Ds still has multi coloured poo (he's a puree boy) but it is starting to be more adult poo like - and from 6 a day when we started weaning (at least 6 i should say) we're down to 2-4 now. .

alittlebitshy · 27/02/2009 11:56

uggies? wtf are uggies?

TwilightSurfer · 27/02/2009 11:58

Oh yeah Sazzles I think 5 days is the length of time before my dcs doc will say it's constipation. How long has it been for Emma? When Reese shows signs (she's not pooed in a few days) I've just been stopping the solids for a day and her poo happens. They time I "tried" to force it (over loaded her with prunes) it ended up being frightful for a few days.

TS I would have done just the same in that situation. Getting on your soap box absolutely fine! What were they thinking?!

Will ask dh about Niacin protocol.

Thoughts and prayers, heathen or otherwise to my friends please - their fourth baby (20 weeks ish) has anomalies on the scan. 1:8 Downs and 1:20 Edwards syndrome. This would be bad enough but they have terminated at 23 weeks with Edwards syndrome before must be horrendous going through it again. They have had CVS and am hoping result comes quickly.

PetitFilou1 · 27/02/2009 12:01

On a separate topic as did not want to post that with this as seems trivial

How fast do you move to meat/fish purees. Have any of you with 6.5 monthers done so yet? Really unsure what to do having weaned earlier before.

dizzydixies · 27/02/2009 12:03

oh no CC poor T & O

TS I shall forever more feel grateful that MIL is at least internet and phone savvy!

pf how terrible for your friends am positive thinking for them

I seem to have picked the worst day to be having a blue day - have just woken up DH and hope he is going to take over as I really can't be motivated to do anything other than lie on couch and have a wee blub

no reason, well I don't think there is a reason maybe if I wasn't bfing I'd be premenstrual at the moment? its mum & dad's anny today and dad has to go to a funeral for a lady in the street who got cancer not long after my mum's breast cancer was diagnosed so maybe that?

oh who knows - ignore me

PetitFilou1 · 27/02/2009 12:24

Dizzy Blub away, that was just how I felt the other day (and I have far less reason to than you do) Tiredness makes it worse. Tomorrow will be better.

Is it sunny there - if so can you get out for a walk? It helps me but only if the sun is out...

alittlebitshy · 27/02/2009 12:25

dizzy hugs,

pf Ds has had chicken a few times (he is 7 months now). Intending to try a simple fish soon but not got round to it...

dizzydixies · 27/02/2009 12:30

pf Dylan likes nothing better that chewing on some chicken bless her would love to go out for walk but Dylan's nose pouring, house still needing some work, DD2 still running about in her pyjamas and In laws arrive at airport at 1.15

thank you both for hugs though, I'm putting it down to virtual PMT as if I consider anything else I may have to take to my bed

dizzydixies · 27/02/2009 12:36

DH has had a letter this morning saying he's passed ALL 3 of his exams so I am much more cheered now

that and the sun has come out!!!

nothing but highs and lows with me

PetitFilou1 · 27/02/2009 12:36

Thanks and dizzy hope you feel better

Last time my MIL came I dreaded it but she was actually really helpful and I would even go so far as to say I actually ENJOYED having her around so you never know!

Am switching off for a bit as can't seem to keep away and have a ton of stuff to do

PetitFilou1 · 27/02/2009 12:37

Hooray for dizzy's dh See everything is better when the sun comes out
