no1 you are so sweet to say that 'he has cried a lot.Bless' I am sure if ds had cried whilst I was meant to be beautifying myself, I would be f fing and blinding and thinking angry thoughts

Is your appointment to do with M's recent problems? Sorry if I missed something there

ts my dp has high blood pressure + high colesterol and has lately acquired a worrying spare tyre. Tis very worrying. He is supposed to cycle to work, I'm trying to persuade him to do this more. Diet is a bit more tricky to influence.

ataraxis chatter chatter chatter chatter, that just about covers it I think

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 26/02/2009 22:23

sambo I do get stressed with it sometimes, however dh has pissed me off big time today, as the only support I have had with two snotty dcs is 'god he is so mardy'
wtf...
even though he has cried for what feels like 2 days and nearly all of 2 nights, I just feel so sorry for him.
Yes the appointment is for Marcus. Hopefully everything is fine.
Hi vg and nightataraxis hi *sambo says it all really

dizzydixies · 26/02/2009 22:24

Okay girls, and particularly no1 - I need some buggy advice grin

DS will fairly often cry in his buggy. I think that this is enough of an excuse to buy a new buggy.

This is his current model.

My mum thinks that a buggy with a bit of suspension might be more comfortable for him. I think that a rear facing buggy would also be nice as I could chat to him as we go along. When he is sitting properly it would also be nice if he had a table.

Soooo ... bearing in mind these two criteria:

I could buy locally: this one at about £110 pounds

The handle swivvels over the top so it can be rear facing, it has a table and suspension.

or this one at £400, which does the same stuff but is just more cool.

We don't really need it to be light or small as we have the other buggy for this anyway.

So ... tomorrow we will probably buy the cheaper one, unless you can convince me that the more expensive one would be much more useful wink or have any other words of wisdom.

Also, any idea how long rear facing will be useful for? Baby stuff is kind of pricey over here, and importing something would probably be a bit complex/or expensive. Also I would like it quite soon as the rear facing advantage probably isn't going to be very useful for much longer.

We also went swimming again, which we both enjoyed. pf, sazzles or those of you who swim with your babies, how do I take them under water? Just dunk him, or is there a technique? I haven't been brave enough so far!

finally, here are a very cute series of photos from earlier on today.

longwayfromhome · 26/02/2009 22:31

apologies for such a shocking Me Me Me post. Sending thoughts for good sleep and birthday greetings to all, and nice to read about the good days with meet - ups.

Also many apologies for the links that don't work.

longwayfromhome · 26/02/2009 22:34

and dizzy - you are a fbg, although I might venture to suggest that any cake with that quantity of sugar, cream and white chocolate in might taste quite good.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 26/02/2009 22:35

hi firstly the photos are gorgeous

I would like to say i now have 4 pushchairs and ds as proved he prefers the moby
however i have just purchased 1 that rear faces so will see what he is like when in pushchair mode.
i like them both love the tray idea too, my dd would have loved this.
you have linked to
the second one i think is chicco??

the handle can be changed to two instead of the bar across too. i considered this, but it is pricey. one did sell on ebay recently for about £80.

dizzydixies · 26/02/2009 22:35

it really is a fail safe can't go wrong isn't it?!?

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 26/02/2009 22:36

dizzy you are indeed a fbg
I think you could start your own business tbh.
i would order anyway.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 26/02/2009 22:37

dizzy did you get ironing done??

sorry 1 handed typing ds up again.

dizzydixies · 26/02/2009 22:39

oh don't, thats what's been my blow re work has been about, had plans and now it looks like its not going to happen but a lovely thing of you to say, thank you

anyway, I'm off as DH away to work and it'll all be down to me tonight. I probably won't be on much over the weekend so wish me luck and I'll see you all on theotherside Monday

longwayfromhome · 26/02/2009 22:39

ooooh, no1 at £80 on ebay it might even be worth trying the hassle of getting it sent over here. thanks. Yes, it is chicco and I tried it in the shop today and it was quite good.

It'll be interesting to see if we both get on better with rear facing.

dizzy - I'll have to try to bake it and I will report back on the results. purely scientific investigation of course!

dizzydixies · 26/02/2009 22:40

did the girls stuff but ignored ours - felt that was enough though don't want to overdo it!!

sorry the wee man is back up again, hope he settles soon

longwayfromhome · 26/02/2009 22:42

oh and re: DHs with spare tyres I have told mine to go swimming twice a week. It means that he is even later home from work than normal, but he enjoys it and so I don't feel that I have to nag him about other stuff as he is already being healthy.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 26/02/2009 22:42

ah dizzy cant it be sorted, i have been thinking for a while you would be fantastic at this.
to earn from something you are so good at and clearly enjoy. hope it can be done. hope weekend goes ok.

longway im off to look for you

dizzydixies · 26/02/2009 22:44

LWFH thats great. I started on Monday not eating after dinner, DH showed his support this evening by shovelling in my maltesers before he went to work and we've only managed one long walk this week
