Morning all feeling a bit better today went to bed with Bethany last night, we were still up quite a bit in the night though and she is still a snotty babe.

ponto - yey your back we are with talktalk too and had loads of problems too

minipink - looking like all is fine but am sure the specialist will put your mind at rest, you did the right thing though getting it all checked out

bebejones - would seriously check that bill ours was £150 for 3 months and it's been freezing here

Helllllllllloooooooooo all, it really has been ages for me, sorry I've been in a black hole of freelance work and although I can go on FB and only spend a few mins quickly checking/playing Wordscraper here and there (I'm Justine btw Rumpel), every time I come on MN I end up just having a 'quick check' of active convos and then half an hour has gone by... however most of the work is done now, just smaller more manageable jobs, phew.

We call Poppy the Popster, Popsicle, Popper and Pop-pop-pop if she's particularly gassy . Not much to report here, she's sitting up really well now and despite my previous FB report still not quite sleeping through, but I'm not feeding her. I think the only thing you can do is go cold turkey - the only variations are how you choose to handle that (cc, pick-up put down, stroking, whatever) IMO.

Hope all basically well, have only read the last couple of pages, Minipink fingers crossed all will be ok.

re names- Abigail also gets called Monkey, Missy, Missy moo, Foghorn, bubba and Beautiful.

Minnie- Welcome back Hope your all well.

SK- Glad a good nights sleep has helped.

Ponto- Glad your connections sorted again.

More packing here today and discovering long lost forgotten about things in the loft!

Bought Singstar today for the PS3. Great fun and have been having singing bursts between packing. Had a sore throat anyway but now im rather husky! Abigail also decided to join in with the singing which was hillarious and caused laughter tears!

Hi all, good to see you back PONTO. we're with talk talk too and been having loads of probs re connection.

MINI - phew lets keep fingers x all is fine with wee Abbie.

Yep I think a lots of folks get all caught up with FB - you could spend hours doing all those daft quizzes and browsing.

I have been feeling a bit coldish the last few days but DH took the Dc this morning and let me lie in until 10am which was bliss so feeling better for the rest. Took them to the park today as the sun was shining - freezing though. D adores the park, then we had coffee/milkshake and DD threw a major nanny as she had to share - getting her to understand the concept of sharing is proving somewhat problematic at the mo'. Bought some rum n raisin and coconut ice cream for when the Dcs are in bed - YUMMY! Love those flavours and so hard to get. does anyone make their own?

JODIE/SHORTSHAFE have fun and let us know how it went.

Must go dinner ready. Oh and Calvin finally got around to sitting up by himself yesterday - at last and he is turning over easily now but not back to front yet. he is desparate to walk though

nite all have a good un and sleep well littliesxxxxx

Evening all busy day today, Bethany has spent the day crawling after objects placed just out her reach by DD2 who has also spent most of the day on the floor crawling keeping her company, DD2 actually thinks Bethany belongs to her, any other toddler comes near her at nursery she storms over "thats MY baby!" she really smothers her though, I thought the novelty may have worn off but she is obsessed by her as ever. She calls her Bessany as she cannot say TH.

have fun isaidno and jodie! Saw your update on fb isaidno, envious of your social night!

Minipink- fingers crossed all is ok. Sounds scary but hopefully positive. I read that article about the tumour being diagnosed by white eye in pics too.

nicknames- Louis gets called quite a few unprintable things under my breath at night ;) but in the day is Little Louis Loukins, or Loukins, or LouLou, or Froggsy, Froggus, Mr Baby...the list goes on. We're a family of nicknamers though, dh and I rarely call each other by our names as we have so many different ones for each other and the boys. DS1 didn't respond to his real name for ages, just Monks (short for Monkey)

Can't remember who asked about night wakings- L is a rubbish sleeper, not helped by fact he has never formed a comforting attachment to anything other than my norks (not without us trying mind you!) and without a dummy/special blanket/thumb this means he demands my presence a few times a night to help him get back to sleep. Yawn.

Well dh is off on a stag weekend at the mo, one of my best friends from work who I've known for about 10 years and its dh who goes on the stag, being an all male affair and that. Am just off to bed- sending sleepy vibes to everyone!

RedSalamader - I take heart in the fact that you have just described Bethany to a T, she is exactly like Louis, her comforter is my boobs, have tried numerous dummies and comfort teddies even "wearing" the comfort teddy in my bra all day, but no it's Mummies boobs or nothing.

Rumpel, like your idea of ice cream after the dcs are in bed! Not made my own ice cream for years, should dig out the machine, the dds would love it.

Bryony has developed a taste for Dairylea sandwiches, is that an ok food? Or is it too processed? She has also tried some biscuits this week - a rich tea, a garibaldi and a custard cream, which were all very popular, as you might expect. Does anyone else give their LO tastes of that sort of thing, or is it still too early? I'm sure I was stricter with dd1, but I can't remember what I did with dd2.

Dh is away at a conference in Belgium this weekend, so I am hoping for a lot of chocolate to make up for all the childcare I'm doing. Went to the park with a friend and her dcs today but tomorrow is looming over me, everyone else will be busy doing family things so potentially I have a whole day with only 3 kids to talk to.

Hi all,

I'm that I'm not out with Jodie and ISaidNo but I'm poorly poorly (way too much snot to be seen out in public) and haven't even got dressed today.

Isaac is always Isaac to me - others call him Zac though, which I'm fine with - I often call him 'little man' which dd copied the other day and shouted 'morning little man' as she wandered past his cot!

It'll be new thread time very soon - you lot chat too much for me to keep up with! By the time I've read through, I've forgotten what's going on!

MiniPink - fingers crossed it's all ok, thinking of you.

Ponto - Isaac's a huge fan of skips ! I think everything in moderation (obv. watching the salt intake too)

Disney - I live about 5 miles from Alton Towers! Are you going to stay at the on site hotel?

Hi all,

Well had a really good night last night, Isaidno is so lovely, we had a good old chat! Wasn't wierd at all (well, I didn't think so, she might feel different! )

Ponto I give Sam Dairylea Sarnies too, very handy for when we are out and about, he loves them!

SK Can I ask why B isn't having an egg? I thought it would be OK at 9 months? I have an egg here for Sam off my mum and I don't know whether or not to give it to him (or keep it all to myself )

Hope everyone is OK and I'll catch up soon, have to stop the fighting, Sam is after Olivers breakfast.... (Rumpel, Sharing is a horrible word in this house too!)

shortsafe no were going to stay in a hotel like travelodge or premier inn the prices are way too dear for us on site
il message you on FB

samuel is not having an egg either i feel he is too young maybe next year,he hasnt tasted choc yet poor guy

but we have to be strict with or carefull with chocs and sweets here,as alan 8 has had a double bypass, charlie 7 in on open heart list, dannys ok and samuel heart disease
so once a week on a saturday they get to choose a small choc bar,and have a glass of diet fizzy, thats it.
but when easter comes around boy arnt they excited as they get 1 big egg each and i dont care if they at the lot at once
i dont like being strict with there intake but they have to grow up knowing what is what

they also appreciate it much more when they get it......

debating to pick up our caravan (its in storage in cornwall)
they havnt got a pitch
but theres a great pitch in bude we could stay on.....

Hi there,
I had a lovely time too; must have talked alot as my throat is a sore this morning! We'll do it another time shortshafe when you're better, and perhaps disney might make it too x

Ponto - Poppy likes philadelphia sarnies, so I think dairylea is fine. And she loves a biscuit of any decription, although I tend to give her plain ones like rich tea fingers. I avoid baby biscuits as they usually have more sugar than normal ones. With ds1 I was much stricter - the poor lad was born in July and never tasted chocolate until the following Easter. Poppy likes to suck the chocolate off a finger biscuit. She's not getting an egg from us though; I've ordered her a bunny book.

Rumpel - I've got an ice cream maker; keep forgetting to use it but the ice cream is scrummy. Can also make sorbet which is much less fattening! Actually for anyone on a diet I recommend freezing pots of muller light yogurt; tastes great and only 100 cal per pot.

bebejones - let p sleep on her front; it's fine now.

Hi all

Glad the night out was good jodie/isaidno

Disney are you feeling better now? How's the pain? Thank you for your very kind invite (just caught up on FB!) You're brave to think of organising a party like that and inviting all of us!

My new meds for my pain seem to be working pretty well so I shall put up with the side effects (constipation and very dry mouth - nice!) for now.

Little frazzled here today - florence was teething at bedtime and then just refused to settle - cried and cried - in the end I brought her downstairs so I could watch casualty

Anyway she then proceeded to 'perform' - giggling , talking, posing, etc etc so much so that we videoed it! Eventually went back to bed at 10.30...dd1 woke at 12.30 sopping wet and scratching herself to bits as her eczema has been really bad...changed her bed, nappy, PJs, put hydrocortisone cream on... back to sleep at 1.30....Florence was sick at 3.30...then of course 6.30 they all wake and ahhh it's actually 7.30!!

Got to get us dressed in a mo (!) then off to PILs to slob out!!

Morning all,

Glad you had fun ISAIDNO and JODIE - must be nice to meet face-to-face - even better if you actually get on in RL ('cos you never really know do you?)

Bad night here last night ended up having to get up and give C a bottle, cuddle, disprol and watching casualty until 1am.

I love ice-cream but if it is cheapo nasty stuff it gives me really itchy inner ear canals/throat itch - weird. It does it to my Mum too.

SHORTY - hope you feel beter soonxx

RED - I am hoping that L is going to be an angel of a teenager for you as he is being a bit 'difficult' as a baby Am terrified of what my DD is going to be like I can see us screaming at each other like cats do. We already have the raised eyebrow and 'looks' battles at the mo'

PONTO - my DCs first ever tastes was a teeny bit of chocolate (bad mother emoticon). I give Calvin a chocolate button now and again, biccies - just a bit of one, I think everything in moderation is fine. I often think how awful the world must have been before we discovered sugar and chocolate - just think centuries ago we would have been saying 'Hmmm PMT I must have a suck of bone marrow or a pigs hoof' - bleurgh!

Did anyone watch Heston's historical feast - absolutely gross - we ended up not watching them all as it was so ghastly. If I had to kill my own food I would be a herbivore for sure - I can't stand it.

Anway hope you all have a nice day - beautiful and sunny here but brrr windy. off to do a mammoth ironing session.
xxx

Disney, the party sounds great, will have to check dates with dh and get back to you (he's been working abroad for a few days).

Glad I'm not the only one giving treats to their baby. Funnily enough, one thing I haven't really given her yet is chocolate, but I probably will let her have a bit at Easter. I tend to give her the fruit purees that come in a yogurt type pot when we're out and about, and several times people have said to me 'Oh, she likes her chocolate pudding doesn't she.' I feel very aggrieved that when I am actually giving her something healthy I don't get the credit for it!

Had a great day out in the end today, my mum phoned and suggested we meet up at Weston-Super-Mare, which is halfway between my house and hers (Cardiff and Exeter). The girls had a lovely time on the beach, Bryony had her first taste of sand and the sea air tired them all out so they've gone off to bed with no fuss tonight.

Morning all, freezing cold and raining here, we went to Kelvingrove Museum and Museum of Transport yesterday, the Doctor Who exhibition was on, I said to DP he could go and see it but he said no, the girls are too young and would be frightened. Apart from that Bethany crawling everywhere and getting faster and still very snotty.

Isaidno and Jodie - glad you have a lovely time

disney - thank you for your very kind invite don't think we will be able to make it as a) it's a bit far and b) we have 3 birthdays in 6 days in July so will be pretty poor that month.

Jodie - I have never given any of them chocolate before about a year, I don't know why, maybe I might sneak her a chocolate button or two. The other two have developed my love for chocolate though.

purplejenny - glad the new meds seem to be working, poor F teething is so rough on them, I must get the camcorder out for B crawling and "talking" too, it is so priceless when you look back on the DVDs.

Rumpel - hope C had a better night last night

Right I had better get back to it, Bethany has finished her toast so will just finish my tea and start the housework, there is loads and I have a huge pile of ironing too and I could just sit and slob out all day.
