m2l, it depends how bothered you are by her being in your bed - if it doesn't bother you and she sleeps well once she is in with you, it's fine to carry on. If you really want her in her own cot, there are various methods to try - I used controlled crying with Bryony, took about 5 nights for her to sleep 7 - 5 or 6. When she woke in the night, I would go in, lift her up, cuddle her, then lay her back down and go out of the room (even if she started crying), then wait 5 minutes and go back and do the same thing again. She didn't cry for the whole 5 minutes, sometimes she would just be grizzling with long quiet periods, so I would leave it longer before going in. Eventually (after an hour and a half or so), she went back to sleep. The next night it took about half as long to settle her, the next night half as long again, then a couple of nights later she slept through. I was really determined to make it work though, so once I'd started I never gave in and brought her into bed with me. If you do try this, my top tip is to make sure you wear a dressing gown and warm socks, so repeatedly getting out of bed is not so traumatic! Good luck.
Hello to those with constipated babies, we have the opposite problem today, there was a nappy explosion in the car seat earlier, I had to wash the cover, I've never needed to do that before! Think poor Bryony's ill, she's off her food too but bfing well thank goodness.
Off to pack for weekend away in Devon at my cousin's wedding now.
