thanx guys

nah wasnt reali trying..jus one of those things.. dh is excited..and hopin for a boy! lol im jus gld that i have seen u gusy cope, so its makin me stronger...worried about gettin the raised eyebrow from alot of family...but hey who cares..i jsu wana get thru the first 3 months...and hope i have a nice pregnancy, unlike last time..altho the sickness has kicked in! ahhh wat calcium tablets did u guys take?

Report
sweetkitty · 12/01/2009 12:46

I just took Calcia I think they are called but took half dose as the prenatal onces have calcium too, I am still taking them as my teeth are wrecked too.

Honestly I love having two so close together if I could go back and do it again I would have had 3 in 3 years, it's lovely as the older two like the same things and are good friends.

Don't worry about family I get that all the time that DD2 was a mistake and that I only had DD3 as I wanted a boy. It's no ones business how many DC you chose to have, it's not them getting up in the night, changing nappies and paying for them so they have no right to comment!

congrats! and wow!
I don't have such a small gap, DS is almost 21mths older than Poppy but he absolutely adores her, toddles up to give her kisses and cuddles all day long, which for me is a big plus in the possibly having another stakes!

Like everyone else says you will cope with it because you have to, and when people say to me 'oooh small gap' I just say 'well none of us know any different' so it's not like DS/P/me can say '24mths would have been so much better'! And you'll be fine... aren't women meant to be better multi-taskers?

M2L - think of it this way, if it were so bad I wouldn't have ttc#3 when #2 was 15 months!

First year is hard theres no denying it, it's a whole different ball game trying to feed a baby with a toddler in at everything. But it does get easier and as I say it's great watching them play together. The trick is to get the two of them napping in the afternoon at the same time too

mama2leah · 12/01/2009 14:08

Hi All,

HUGE CONGRATS MAMA so nice. You are quite young aren't you so your bod should be able to cope pretty well. Just be careful with your joints and don't overstretch them as your hormones will have made them loose - takes a while to get them back to 'normal' after pregnancy and now you are on no 2

My 2 are 20 months apart and I was in my last year at University whilst pg and really sick - so you will manage. It just feels like you have spent years being pg and having babies As for baby weight - SK I have sooo mot lost the weight having a toddler and baby to look after. Still need to lose another 1.5 - 2 stone. Hey ho - that's the way it goes - it will come off eventually so don't stress.

Just back from baby group. So busy now - new ladies so met some new people. Gave out the netmums info too so hopefully there will be lots of ladies at the 1st official meetup.

I find next stuff quite small - Calvin is in 12 - 18 month babygrows form next He is in 9 - 12 month other clothes. Weighed today 19lb something and 72.5cm long. I thought he was longer as they measured 72.5 last time - they must have made a mistake last time. He loves his grub now - 3 meals a day and some puddings and munching on toast crusts, wee Hipp rusks and whatever else passes his way.

Well must be off as tap dancing tonight and kids to organise.

take care allxxxx

Rumpel Calvin must be a big boy we weighed and measured B yesterday, did her weight on the WiiFit highly technical I know but she was 16lbs and 65cms (roughly as she wouldn't stop kicking)

I was a size 12 pre-DC now a size 8, I eat what I want whenever I want, I think it must be the BFing and running about after the DDs all day, I tend not to eat much during the day but pig out at night when they are in bed. Better watch out once I stop BFing B and as they get older and not so demanding. I'm very unfit and flabby though.

Love the new thread

Congratulations to M2L Wasnt expecting our first BFP to be quite so soon!
Im sure you will get lots of helpful advice here

Rumpel- Abigails in Up to 3mth babygrows from Next?!

Been a busy housework day today as we are having the house valued this evening. Never seen the place so tidy!

little food question- I bought some Organix rice cakes for Abigail to chomp on/drool over but on the packet it says for over 7mths only. DH is concerned about giving them. Am I right in thinking that they will be fine and that they say that as they are marketing the purree's first. Surely with BLW food doesnt have an age limit?

Report
sweetkitty · 12/01/2009 16:44

pigley - I give Bethany the Organix rice cakes, she's fine gummin on them, they kind of go soggy and they can get bits off. I always stay with her when she has them though.

M2L big congrats to you
wow how exciting and tbh im a bit envious any one else feel like that?
i think its absolutely fantastic
my 2 are 11 mths apart they napped together ate together and pooed together but are great friends always have been,in fact the only concern at school is they are too close and have separation issues,it doesnt bother me though i think its lovely
my bet is on pigley next
by the way pigley most of samuels clothes are from next and they do run bigger dont they
from tesco or matalan hes in 9-12 mths hes a right little porker with rolls of fat on his fat,but i think as he doesnt move much he doesnt kind of burn it off.
hes always so hungry though and eats and wants bowlfulls and cries when i take it away
i cant really do the blw with his which is a shame but with his cleft palate hes still brings all up via his nose and its not nice for him
he also had a right little paddy last night i put him his cot while i was running his bath, and oh my gosh did he scream and create slamming his leg down on the mattress in temper,i was quite shocked hes never done this before, quite a little character coming out now
isaidno please forgive me i have searched all over and i cannot find the top of the door bouncer you must have thought id forgotton,i meant to ask my dh to have a look as well but i got distracted with the car breaking down and all

ooh ooh ooh proud mummy alert - dd1 has been taking herself upstairs to do wees in the toilet all day, saying ' I want to do it by myself and be all alonely..' and this evening after 2 hours of terrible fidgetting, jumping and wind (!) she went up on her own and did the most enormous poo!! Which I was not allowed to flush away until it had been admired by all and sundry

So now very pro-toilets here! Oh and we've run out of choc buttons - bribery, me?? Incentives we call it in school...

Hee hee.

yeah mama2leah - need a name change then to mama2leahwith bump?? Congratulations, am , but if I got pregnant now I could do 3 at 3 and under - not a good idea for us!!!

Congrat's to PJR's dd1 aswell , we've just about sorted the potty training here with dd1 - if she does a partic. large poo she shouts 'snake' and we all have to troop in to inspect it!! Funny until she does it in the loo at tesco...

Isaac is in mostly 6-9 month stuff, I agree Next, Asda, Tesco come up large.

Finger foods we're doing include breadsticks - sucked until they're soggy, rice cakes, toast, bread, most fruit and veg, he enjoyed a couple of chips at the weekend .

Mama2leah, Irish twins are siblings that aren't twins, but in the same year at school!!

My 2 will only be 1 year apart as DS1 will be the oldest (in September) and Sam will be the youngest (in July obv.) 21 months between them

When you off to the doc???

congrats to PJR DD, I'm going to start trying at Easter, think he's ready now, but keep putting it off!
