Like you buckets I'm not convinced he needs a feed, maybe just a drink, and that is most probably habit?! Daytime feeds have dropped off to maybe one feed and one quick drink during the day, otherwise big feed at bedtime and around 7am, with a night feed (maybe) in there too. Hey ho. Nappies are fine though so no worries about constipation or dehydration.

Right I'm off to Tesco to get 5 mins peace and quiet to myself (ie, without the ds's!). Honestly, the lengths I will go to to get a break . I will purchase wine and calpol (wine for me, calpol for Oliver )

NoroomattheCaveman · 22/12/2008 16:54

sazz what did dd1 make of the reindeer?

Did I tell you ds1 was in the local paper? He had his photo taken tugging on Santa's beard - he was convinced it was the REAL santa

NoroomattheCaveman · 22/12/2008 19:38

Well isn't that just typical - I get ds2 to sleep miraculously early, come on here to catch up and no one is around Where are you all hiding?!?!

oopsIstuffedaturkey · 22/12/2008 20:37

I was just about to bring the tread some lily's and a wreath (not the Christmas kind either!)

oopsIstuffedaturkey · 22/12/2008 20:42

Just spoke to the Priest - he will condut the service - no flowers please just donations to the 'I need a sleep fund'

oopsIstuffedaturkey · 22/12/2008 20:43

All mourners equested to wear bright colours - It will keep those of us not getting any sleep alert.

oopsIstuffedaturkey · 22/12/2008 20:43

Sorry for all the typos I just am beside myself with grief - I'm sure you all understand

oopsIstuffedaturkey · 22/12/2008 20:44

now going to wrap presents - will check in to see if a ressurection has occured sometime between now and Easter

oopsIstuffedaturkey · 22/12/2008 21:30

Okay where are you all - have you started a new secret no Oops's allowed thread

oopsIstuffedaturkey · 22/12/2008 21:31

How sad am I? the only person not doing something else Going now pressies don't wrap themselves!

BucketsofReindeerPoo · 22/12/2008 21:34

Early night for me. Tomorrow I have to make a sausage plait (well, sausage armadillo anyway, I can never resist putting eyes on them) and a cheesecake and clean out the poor neglected guinea pigs. This is all for Xmas eve tea with family but cleaner comes Wed am so we have to go out and hide from her. Not sure where to go TBH but at least I won't have to do anything when we come home.
Does white chocolate cheesecake with a hint of lemon on a ginger biccie base make sense tastewise?. Unbaked btw. Wanted something overindulgent but grown up?

NoroomattheCaveman · 22/12/2008 21:40

oops! am still here! Oliver woke up again, think it must be a bug he has got. REfusing to bf so I have comedy HUGE norks. He ate his tea fine, hasn't really bf all day tbh but has eaten his food fine. . If he doesn't feed before I go to bed I may well end up expressing in the wee small hours!

TwilightSurferChristmasAngel · 22/12/2008 21:42

Oops I shall be the one in the fuchsia paisley trench coat and lime green hat.

SazzlesIsASleighBell · 22/12/2008 21:50

CC DD1 liked the reindeer but they were fenced off so the fallow deer you can feed were a much bigger hit. We didn't see fit to correct her when she said 'feed reindeer, look Mummy, reindeer' . The light dispays through the wood were lovely and Santa was in a log cabin which looked lovely, although we didn't visit due to DD1's screaming fit at Santa last time. We will bear it in mind for future years though

TS Nice hat

Oops Ever though about event organising as a career - you seem to have the knack

Buckets Lob us a slice of sausage armadillo - my fave [fsmile[

NoroomattheCaveman · 22/12/2008 21:53

Oh God TS why'd you dress up? Now I look like a total scroat in my joggy bottoms and top stained a la breast milk . Esp seeing as one nork is MUCH bigger than the other atm due to lack of bf action from Oliver Oh I am a pretty sight.

AndHeaVanAnnNatureSing · 22/12/2008 22:09

Hi all. Have to say I'm not feeling festive at all. Have a stinking cold. Now it seems that on top of not getting me a birthday present, DP will ALSO not be getting me a Christmas pressie. Feel like I'm a footnote on his list of priorities at the mo. List goes - Work, everyone else, himself, and in tiny little letters at the bottom of the page you'll find me. If you find me at all. Now what do I do - do I buy him a present or not bother. After all, I dragged my extremely pregnant, ill, dizzy, SPD afflicted self to bluewater and waddled round the place to get HIM a birthday present. Do I make the effort for CHristmas as well when it's probably not going to be reciprocated?

Sorry for me post, not having a good day.

TwilightSurferChristmasAngel · 22/12/2008 22:11

HELLO Captain, as per Oops THIS is a "SERVICE of MOURNING"....the thread is dead. lol lol lol lol

Thanks Sazzles, I found it on RODEO DRIVE in BEVERLY HILLS.

Have just scored the biggest THRILL!! My DB, you know the one who hasn't spoken to me in MONTHS.....well I sent him an awesome cake for Christmas via my favorite local bakery. Today he posted on my aunt's FB wall that he LOVED the cake and had almost eaten the entire thing himself.....BECAUSE he thinks it was part of the package SHE sent him. LOL!! She' knows he's being a BUTT to me so I'm waiting to see what she puts on his wall. Now I wonder if my dear bitch SIL tossed my Merry Christmas card that was in THE BOX with the CAKE and told him it was from my aunt. Don't you just LOvE the Holidays!!!!

oopsIstuffedaturkey · 22/12/2008 22:19

We have just opened the front door and found a hamper it is addressed to us but has no 'from xxxx' on it - was it from you TS? It is filled with loads of yummy M&S things and I nmight have to eat the choccies - It feels kind of wrong when I don't know who it's from.

Still no pressies wrapped - DH going shopping tomorrow morning for 'his girls' should I be afraid? this is a man who bought me a kettle last year.

oopsIstuffedaturkey · 22/12/2008 22:19

Also who delivers things at 10pm on a Monday night?

TwilightSurferChristmasAngel · 22/12/2008 22:21

It's from SAZZLES!!

SazzlesIsASleighBell · 22/12/2008 22:29

No TS, obviously not from me or it would have a chocolate shaped hole . Lucky you oops....now pass it round your 'friends'

Ann So sorry to hear you feel bottom of the pile, however i would not stoop to his level. Buy a present and hold your head high on the moral high ground. Then, after Xmas, leave Seb with DP, grad SIL/Friend and go out for a day sales shopping (on his credit card obv), nice lunch & glass of wine followed by cinema. Then go home to DP. Will change his priorities, or if not, we'll all come and give him a good kicking and these faces

TwilightSurferChristmasAngel · 22/12/2008 22:44

Ann did DP give a reason for not gifting? DH and I don't gift sometimes but that's because we do things for each other all the time...we don't need A SPECIAL DAY to give IYKWIM. However we do talk to each other first. For example, DH knows there's nothing big under the tree for him because he wants stuff for his car and you can't WRAP a window tinting. He's not done anything really for me because I've been buying little things for myself and sticking them under the tree with his name on them. [Scored a new awesome 4 slice toaster ...shhhh].

Maybe that's what you should do. Go buy something you like. Wrap it. And put his name in the FROM area.

TwilightSurferChristmasAngel · 22/12/2008 22:52

My lovely DH has JUST made the same statement I made.....thinking SIL trashed all obvious signs that the cake was from me and told my DB it was from my aunt.

OhLittleBitShyOfBethlehem · 23/12/2008 09:37

ugh what an awful night - 10pm dh settled a whinging baby, 1am i fed a hungry baby - was back in bed within 20 mins though, 3.30 dh goes in to dd but comes back saying she wants me (she'd had a bad dream that i'd let her have a cup of ta but said no to second one grin]), 5.45 feed baby - 6.10 put him in his cot and tell dh to settle him. he woke again at 8.50.

ugh ugh guh.

WHEN will he sleep properly again???
