ann I have had people tell me Ds is ready. He shows lots of 'signs' but I dont think he is physically ready. He struggles with calpol tbh.
However re you saying Seb seems constantly hubgy. Marcus does too.
He had 7oz ebm at 7.00pm then an hour and a half later had another big feed from me. Both sides. then after fussing to get to sleep for a while, he had another short feed from me.
So I was thinking if you ff there is milk stages for hungrier babies etc... If you bf,what then?? You cant make your milk fill them up any more than before surely.
I am thinking maybe the odd ff may fill him more,as I know he not ready for solids yet.

sambo303 · 06/01/2009 22:17

eeek we are at 951 posts, have racked my remaining brain cell for new thread title, nothing springs to mind

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 06/01/2009 22:19

hungry obviously, as I have no idea what hubgy is

rotterpotter · 06/01/2009 22:21

Pertelote from one 8 8 8 mum to another, wishing you and DD a quick wait and a completely successful operation. I can only imagine how you must be feeling, chin up girl your DD has the luckiest birthday in about 100 years I think so all will go well

No1 glad to hear your back is a bit better. Well done for managing th MN through the pain

Am getting very of all this meetup talk, train fares to London cheaper than to Bristol but still too much I'm afraid. Hope you all have a lovely time though.

Trying to pluck up courage to go on the hot mamas thread, although haven't had a biscuit for two whole days. Maybe tomorrow...

dizzydixies · 06/01/2009 22:22

Ann agree it could be a growth spurt at 16wks but you have to believe you'll know yourself when he needs fed

baby rice comes in cardboard boxes normally (look near to the babyfood jars etc and you'll see Heinz boxes etc)

I personally think its horrible stuff and gave all my girls porridge although will admit to putting it into their bottles - much MUCH later on though not this early

are either of your boys 'sucky' babies? Dylan usually nursers for comfort until I take her off and then when she finds her thumb she's fine

CaptainCaveman · 06/01/2009 22:23

How about "To wean or not to wean, that is the question".....

Am a little bit squiffy, having had not one but 2 glasses of wine (hic). Ds1 was a littel treasure and loved school - he is even raring to go back tomorrow!

Dizzy, ta for the link, for some reason I cannot log on to ebay with my paypal account. Hmmmm. Too much wine??

poppysocks · 06/01/2009 22:24

LOL TS and thanks Dizzy . I actually made my 9 stone by Christmas target . I do know that I need to get back to the hot mamas though now that the end of bf is in sight....

Hope Reese wakes up happier TS. Emily seems to be getting constipated too recently. So heartbreaking to see such obvious discomfort when there's nothing we can do about it. Hope the formula switch helps .

Your poor neighbour No1. I was at some of the things my sister was told too. If only everyone knew about mn!

Just booked our summer hols and a quick visit to see DH's folks in Paris. First flights increased in price by £50 in the time it took for me to do the booking and the second lot increased by £100 when bags and booking fee (and none of the insurance/speed booking nonsense) was added.

rotterpotter · 06/01/2009 22:24

Ann I too remember the 16 week stage and thinking we were never going to stop feeding, but it soon settles down. Infact I have a right job getting DS to feed during the day now, he's too interested in everything that's going on, and averaging only 2 wakeups at night

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 06/01/2009 22:24

lol at mnetting through pain. Funny though as that could be another reason I have poor posture. leaning over lap top on the kitchen table.

I have found train fares to Bristol to be cant get any cheaper than £105.

dizzydixies · 06/01/2009 22:25

where are you going for your hols poppy?
over PIL in Paris, somehow smacks the backside off a wee town in Northern Ireland

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 06/01/2009 22:26

cc glad your ds had good day, and love the thread title suggestion.

CaptainCaveman · 06/01/2009 22:27

wtf kind of spelling is littel. Obv I mean little

dizzy can you get that lunch box for me and I'll either send cheque or figure out some way to pay you direct? Not sure why I can't log on as my paypal account - it lets me log on but doesn't recognise me as having paypal, even though it then tells me how much is in my paypal account. Perhaps my brain is just too addled to take it in.

Both my little fellas are fast asleep in my room. Ds1 has stories in my bed when dh is out. He falls asleep in our bed then dh carries him into his own bed when he gets in from the pub. Tom zzzzzing and mini-tom doing mini zzzing. Cannot believe how much Oliver looks like his big bro

dizzydixies · 06/01/2009 22:29

of course my darling, its not a problem

dizzydixies · 06/01/2009 22:30

CC if you email me your address will have it sent there directly

[email protected]

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 06/01/2009 22:30

awwwww cc they make you melt dont they.

oopsacoconut · 06/01/2009 22:32

Evening All

Dizzy - I would likwe to steal your thnder - I think CC will find that I posted the exact same link last night then warned her of bad feedback

Ann-DD went through a similar thing about 2 weeks ago she fed constantly but it seem to be slowing now and my giant norks have grown even bigger am back to milk floods.

dizzydixies · 06/01/2009 22:32

oh no? I only noticed the 97.9% feed back and didn't go further on into it

sorry oops

oopsacoconut · 06/01/2009 22:33

and of course likwe and thnder are made up words and bear no resemblance to like and thunder.

poppysocks · 06/01/2009 22:34

LOL No1. Hope your two give you and your back some decent rest tonight.

V. too at all this chat about the meet-up. But Dizzy and I will be meeting up tomorrow. Ha. So there!

Off to South of France Dizzy, in July. Idea is that I do a couple of weeks back at work and then have a lovely treat. We're actually going with ILs and BiL and his family to celebrate ILs 40th wedding anniversary. Gorgeous place to stay and between us all on the childcare front DH and I are hopeful it could/should feel like a holiday at times.

CaptainCaveman · 06/01/2009 22:35

oops have you been at the vino too???

Dizzy what do you think? Worth a go or not?

Am just about to upload a couple of new photos of ds1 and 2....

poppysocks · 06/01/2009 22:36

In fact, b*stards who mugged us for the nearly £100 for bags and booking fee (nearly £25!!!) are advertising up the side of this page. I want to forget!

dizzydixies · 06/01/2009 22:38

CC I'd give it a whirl to be honest, they seem to sell LOADs of stuff and have some feedback issues but you never know? its up to you but I can't find one anywhere else am afraid

poppy sounds lovely have just emailed an enquiry about a cottage in Skye for a week in Aug so fingers crossed that may turn out ok and hopefully just before I go back to work (unless we win the lottery and then feck it, we'll see you in our chateau in the south of France!!!)

poppysocks · 06/01/2009 22:38

Oh dear, I've started on the chocolate coins from Christmas now (DD1's ). Somebody stop me..... TS???

CaptainCaveman · 06/01/2009 22:41

poppy put them back, they are for the children and not you! SEnd them down to NOttingham NOW.

dizzy are you ok buying that for me? Of course, I will pay you regardless of whether it turns up or not! Will text you my address, in fact will prob email you too!!

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 06/01/2009 22:41

lol at chocolate coins. I never knew the coins were cadburys I thought it was cheap and nasty stuff.
