well if we're allowed to wear trackies I'm coming too [harumph]

although I thought VG would've been a bit classier than that

SazzlesIsASleighBell · 06/12/2008 20:46

Shhhhh VG a little bit pished, she won't notice.....honest

WeWishYouAMiamlaChristmas · 06/12/2008 20:53

evening all, anyone mind if i'm a wallflower tonight? don't feel much like partying. DP has been a miserable hungover grouch all day. he spent most the day on the sofa and went to bed at 7.30. DS asleep as well (shock!) so i'm all on my lonesome for the second night running

OhLittleBitShyOfBethlehem · 06/12/2008 20:59

am off to express then think about getitng rady for bed so thatas soon as dh and dd get home I can get her into bed and follow asap.
night all.

dizzyjingles · 06/12/2008 21:12

a little bit pished? party can't be going that well then as I suspect thats what the stock of ebm she's made up is for - am hoping she's well oiled and dancing ontop of one of her tables by now

night ALBS

just taken DD2 upstairs to bed, I never let her fall asleep on the couch but I had no choice tonight, she wanted in her pyjamas at 5.30 when I was getting Dylan ready for bed and she literally passed out as soon as she'd finished her tea - we normally watch the dancing together

she's a tonne weight when she's asleep too!!

miamla I hope you passed him a crying baby to see just how bad his hangover really was?!?

longwayfromhome · 06/12/2008 21:13

hello all, it's a bit cold here ... and very odd to be on the same time zone as you all. Flight was fine and really need to do some work as my parents are washing up downstairs.

dizzyjingles · 06/12/2008 21:18

LWFH what do you mean by work? surely you are home specifically to be spoiled rotten?

SazzlesIsASleighBell · 06/12/2008 21:20

Evening miamla, I think you will be having a lie in tomorrow and DP childminding and bringing you tea in bed, if not he has us to deal with

Welcome home LWFH, glad to hear you had a good flight. how long are you with us for?

dizzy DD1 and i watch dancing together EVERY night

OP posts:
dizzyjingles · 06/12/2008 21:26

LWFH how was Tomas on the flight?

Sazzles, glad to hear its not just in this house. I sky+ is whilst bathe them and get them into their pyjamas and put Dylan down, then we watch the actual dancing (zipping through the chatter as they don't tolerate it) and then they copy all the pretty ladies and handsome princes dancing and get all hot and sweaty again

lovely sat night ritual and when its over hopefully dancing on ice will fill the gap!!

SazzlesIsASleighBell · 06/12/2008 21:32

LOL dizzy. I now say to DD1 we'll watch dancing later and she says 'jamas, toys away, dancing'. How well trained is she

oopsIstuffedaturkey · 06/12/2008 21:34

Hi All

Just a quick in out, too exhausted to do much. Ihave never cleaned so much dirt out of a kitchen - dog hair in everything even the oven

LWFH - welcome home. You need a festive name too. Sit back relax and be looked after!

We watched that hole in the wall programme tonight - it was fab, what have I been doing on my Sat nights when this has been on?

Dizzy - sound like a great way to spend a saturday evening - Is DD any better today?

Everyone else will catch up tomorrow after church (when I should be packing the kitchen.)

SazzlesIsASleighBell · 06/12/2008 21:37

Ahem, I have mentioned 'hole in the wall' before, as i believe cyteen has (prob wrong person LOL). DD1 doesn't get it tho

OP posts:
dizzyjingles · 06/12/2008 21:40

oops I cannot believe they left the kitchen in that much of a state I would be too mortified not to clean everything before we left a please

DD slightly improved, still has her cough but not as often if that makes sense - although has kindly passed it to Dylan not

dingdongmerrilyfromhome · 06/12/2008 22:18

hello all, yes, I had noticed that it was quite festive round here ... ! We are here until the end of January. The flight was overnight so DS slept for quite a bit, I can definitely recommend the baby changing facilities at Sao Paolo airport and he was very good - maybe he liked the motion (he is usually quite good in the car) and I also walked him up and down and up and down the plane - I think that lots of people were worried about us (and DH ready to jump on a plane and rescue us if needed! - he will join us just here after Christmas) so good to have arrived in one piece (or maybe two pieces!)

Lovely to be with family, and they are all very happy to meet DS too!

ataraxmas · 06/12/2008 22:21

A few days of busy-ness and what happens? You all run off to a new thread!

Thought I had better get into the spirit - not very exciting festive name but thought that 'ataraxisonearth' was a bit obscure.

Just getting this thread on my list really, and going to bed as very very knackered. But hi to everyone and hope you are all doing well and all Christmas shopping is complete (or nearing it).

We went on the Santa Express today - when DD1 was asked by someone on the train afterwards what he thought of Santa, he said 'bit rubbish really, not like the real Santa'. Ho hum .

Will hopefully get some time for some proper reading and catch up tomorrow. Sleep well.

SevenRottersPottering · 06/12/2008 22:25

OK, inspired by Ali's festive name, this is the best I could think of? Anyone have any better suggestions? I really should have thought of the potential for seasonal variation before settling on my nickname!

Welcome home LWFH, you have picked a proper chilly time to come back, although once again poxy Wakefield had only a dusting of snow while the rest of the country struggled through knee-deep drifts. I swear when I was a kid it snowed oop north while we lived down south, well not any more .

Oops congrats on your new house! It looked lovely on the link you posted, and you're lucky to have the time to clean it while you still have 2 houses, make the most of it because I understand it's a nightmare when you have to move in and out of both houses the same day. We're hoping to move once the market settles, there just isn't enough room here for two childrens toys, am already dreading the packing...

Gosh you lot all watch some crap popular entertainment on a Saturday [swink]. As a child I was never allowed to watch ITV, and it seems to have stuck, although I make an exception for Harry Hill

SevenRottersPottering · 06/12/2008 22:26

[swink], doh. Of course I meant

TwilightSurferChristmasAngel · 06/12/2008 22:30

Longway so glad you're back on home soil.

Sibh, Kinsley name comes from the root word kin...otherwise family. She basically made us a family so the name fit well (and we both agreed on it.....a very very odd chance).

I would like to announce I am sitting here drinking a Seagram's Wild Berries Cooler. This is the alcohol I've had in more than a year.

SazzlesIsASleighBell · 06/12/2008 22:32

You are a lush of the highest degree TS

ataraxis was the Santa Express at Bristol Zoo? If not, i am thinking of going in the next couple of weeks if you care to join?

OP posts:
SevenRottersPottering · 06/12/2008 22:36

Hey TS your drink sounds delicious, be careful now, it sounds like one that will sneak up on you and you'll be drunk as a skunk . I've had a couple of glasses of red wine, am quite tipsy myself, should really go to bed but am half watching Spinal Tap.

Did you get your tree up? Are you all twinkly?

Yay dingdong, excellent festive moniker! And hi ataraxmas, at least you managed to get the name of Christmas into your name!

TwilightSurferChristmasAngel · 06/12/2008 22:36

the word "first" is missing from my last post. chocolates to anyone who can find its proper location.

TwilightSurferChristmasAngel · 06/12/2008 22:38

DH just got the top on the tree. It's beautiful. We will decorate it tomorrow.

Lush, Sazzles
