Buckets the bras arrived, thanks a million, was only expecting 1 . Much prettier than the old lady ones I have. Also thanks for the Chrimbo card, my first mn card!

Ann earlier you asked about london meet up date, I think the 13th Jan was mentioned, but I dont think all the london mners have ok'd it yet. It's fine for me btw

Saw lots of really tiny babies today - 5 weeks old etc, whilst we were lunching in Nappy Valley (Clapham) - I really want another now, how will I wait? V of Oops

petitfiloudanceswithreindeers · 16/12/2008 19:38

Hello all
Quick message as dh's 35 birthday so we are sitting down to the excitment of pizza later as he has already had a 'meeting' in a restaurant today

Re feeding to sleep - I've always done it and I've never had a problem (so far) with them giving it up (when they felt like it). Ds1 gave up his bottles at about 18 months, dd self weaned at about 14 months and didn't need milk at bedtime thereafter. Am hoping Toby will be just as easy.....fingers crossed.

School finishes at the end of this week and I have dh at home until just after Christmas

petitfiloudanceswithreindeers · 16/12/2008 19:39

Albs hope you feel better soon - there is a lot of it about - so far we seem to have got away with very little lurgy in this house though

Dh is going for an MRI scan on his neck on Thursday though (reserving sympathy until he proves there really is something wrong )

petitfiloudanceswithreindeers · 16/12/2008 19:42

TS Bedwetting at that age is still really common - don't panic. My friends little girl was still wetting at night and in the day until recently and she's 7 - she's finally cracked it though.

AndHeaVanAnnNatureSing · 16/12/2008 20:17

Hello again. Little man wide awake in his bouncy chair. Was round at MIL's and he got tired, so I tried to get him ready to go, but MIL kept running off with him. Now he's got his second wind. MIL is lovely, but doesn't appreciate that we do put him to bed. She's used to dealing with her DD (she lets her stay up as late as she likes ) so doesn't really get that if Seb doesn't sleep when he's tired, he gets overtired and then WON't sleep. She always just says 'oooh he's turning into ' Which does wind me up a bit really, but as it's the only thing she does that winds me up I won't complain too much.

oopsIstuffedaturkey · 16/12/2008 20:32

Hellooooo
Did you miss me????

Well we are in and have some order in 2 or 3 rooms. BT were very efficient and we had phone and broadband by 10am this morning. The removals men were fantastic and even connected the dishwasher and washing machine (I pulled the dumb woman card) It is fantastic to be in. DD is asleep in her bed in our room, Dh has gone to collect the curry I might sit down for a bit before attacking the kitchen again. The cats are veryconfused and jump everytime something starts up - the heating is freaking them out.

Will try and catch up and get back on later! or we might be testing the new bedroom out

SazzlesIsASleighBell · 16/12/2008 21:09

So glad you are in oops and of the curry. Enjoy christening the new rooms

I managed 32 lengths today and a lovely 15 mins in the steam room - bliss

Well done oops! enjoy the new house!

Forgot to mention - Sebastian has a little girlfriend! A little girl at BF group one week older than him. Neither of them is vaguely interested in any other babies, but they LOVE each other So amusing and very cute the way they snuggle their heads together and touch each others' faces.
Her mum says 'I know they start early these days but THIS is ridiculous' hehe

TwilightSurferChristmasAngel · 16/12/2008 21:35

may i just spend a few moments crying in the corner. it's been a day i'd like to forget. dd1 single handedly put a stop to her schools concert with a huge fit on stage in front of maybe a hundred adults. her teacher tried to direct her and i think got whacked in the process. i saw one teacher fall out of her chair onto the floor but i think she was just clumsy. finally one smart teacher scooped her up and brought her off stage to me. then we left....me with my head held down in shame. after we got home (there was no speaking in the truck from school to home) she said, "but mom i was hungry." oddly that very thought, the idea of low blood sugar, crossed my mind first when i saw her start to fade on stage. the fit immediately followed. i'm thinking we might spend the winter break (which started today) looking for a new preschool. i am so embarrassed.

no1putsantaupthechimney · 16/12/2008 21:39

pf happy bday to your dh, its great you have him home for a while.

oops congratulations on being in.
I dont believe you re tackling kitchen
very
albs we still have lurgy here too, apart from dh.
Antibiotics dont seem to have done much for dd tbh.

marcus has just noticed the dog and he is smiling at her.

cyteen hope Joe is ok and has had no more blood.

dd slept late this afternoon, so is still up now I tried to put her to bed, and in all fairness she did try but didnt happen.
Ds still awake too, so you can see my sleep routines are gone.

dizzy nephew is home, they said something about Malfunction of the bladder, and he might pass these blood clots again.
also he suffers bad with constipation, hardly eats as he says he gets stomache ache, so he gets a bit fearful to eat. They gave him something for constipation and said this could be putting pressure on bladder.

So dsis came out none the wiser really and was left 13 hours for this diagnosis

SazzlesIsASleighBell · 16/12/2008 21:41

Awww TS, sorry to hear of your pants day. In your DD's defence however i will say that i had a complete meltdown on stage whilst doing the end of term ballet performance to the parents. I just stood and screamed as all the other Nutcracker proteges danced their little hearts out. I laugh about it now, although i suspect my dear mother has not got over the shame. Luckily my physique ruled me out of ballet soon after so no repeats

Oh, forgot to say Happy birthday to GrandeFilou

Really need a rant about HV too, I know there must be some good ones somewhere.

Took Marcus to be weighed today, he has dropped again, now just under 50th from 75th.
She asked how he was did he feed well, how much, Am I ok etc....
I said yes, yes and yes, but hard to monitor how much as I am BF she said oh well I wouldnt worry too much as these charts are based on FF babies and not BF ones. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do we not think it is about time they had an acurate plotting chart for BF babies then so we we I dont feel Fing guilty that he is not getting enough.
She then started talking about weaning and that I shoud let him take lead and do it as soon as he is ready.

I got the impression that she possibly wanted me to start.
I honestly dont think he is ready yet.
Yes he can sit quite well on my knee, but he doesnt have full head control I dont think, therefore I dont think he is ready.
VERY SORRY RANT OVER
I am still steaming abit though

no1putsantaupthechimney · 16/12/2008 21:47

ts sorry x post. ah is she ok now??

dizzyjingles · 16/12/2008 21:48

and breath No1

your baby, you decide when he is ready and don't bother one bit about HV

no1putsantaupthechimney · 16/12/2008 21:52

lol a mince pie just calmed me down

dizzyjingles · 16/12/2008 21:53

thank goodness, I thought I was going to have to offer up a malteser there

no1putsantaupthechimney · 16/12/2008 21:55

ooh i wont say no

dizzyjingles · 16/12/2008 21:57

would you like a malteser No1?!?

SazzlesIsASleighBell · 16/12/2008 21:58

me too peeeeaaassseeeeeee

OP posts:
dizzyjingles · 16/12/2008 22:01

oh FGS do you want my first born too!?!?!?!?!?!?

really, some people just take take take

no1putsantaupthechimney · 16/12/2008 22:02

They just make me doubt myself, as they have given me that look last few weighing sessions as he has dropped, they rant on and on and on and then say 'oh but dont worry'on
I might stop going.
so in 3 weeks he has gone from 14lb 3oz -14lb 11oz. Is this not enough weightgain in 3 weeks, is there supposed to be an average??

no1putsantaupthechimney · 16/12/2008 22:04

lol thankyou muchly.
I have already had 2 mince pies today and I had my emergency wispa this morning.

Not doing bad to say I prefer savoury to sweet. I blame Marcus. I only ever drank green tea and water before I had him, I now drink normal tea and lots of chocolate
What is that all about then?

dizzyjingles · 16/12/2008 22:04

No1 this is exactly why I didn't take any of mine to get weighed you never get the same advice from any two HVs and frankly if Dylan is sleeping, feeding and having wet and dirty nappies them I'm happy

trust your instinct, honestly you know your baby better than they do

SazzlesIsASleighBell · 16/12/2008 22:04

No1 we went from 12 to 12.14 in 4 weeks - all fine and dandy i reckon
