waiting to hear, not here obviosly

no1putsantaupthechimney · 14/12/2008 17:54

dingdong where are you staying over here. Sorry if you have already said and I missed it.

sazzles forgot to mention about your food you had.
sounded gorgeous.
You sound very organised now.
DD keeps pinching decorations off the tree when she thinks no one can see.

We wrapped everything up last night, and dh who is always saying dcs will not be spoilt and get things for the sake of it, gave her a gift today
because she was asleep in room and he wanted to invite dog in I said no her excitement and noise on wood floor will wake dd up.
Did he listen, no. So dd woke up mardy and upset so he felt guilty and gave her a toy.
wtf...

no1putsantaupthechimney · 14/12/2008 17:55

Sorry I re read my posts and realize I waffle on about a load of old bollox sometimes.
No wonder most of my family ignore me sometimes

I will go now

TwilightSurferChristmasAngel · 14/12/2008 18:38

No1 how scary for DSis&Nephew.

Sazzles good to hear most of your holiday to-do's are ta-done.

Buckets proper long pj's (i'm a pj pants person myself) does not hinder sexual activity. I have two children to prove it. As for AF, I've noticed I'm a little OFF MY ROCKER when she arrives now. {{{hugs}}} and chocolates.

OKAY my ADD is really at full throttle today. I've got laundry going, reciepts spread here and there, tax stuff open, scrubbed the toilet, worked out, performed normal mommy duties, and welllll hellll i'm forgetting what else. I'm thinking one of these balls I'm juggling is going to fall on my head in a minute.

TwilightSurferChristmasAngel · 14/12/2008 18:49

I have just signed a contract with DD1 stating I will pay her twenty-five cents for each towel she folds out of the laundry basket sitting here next to me.

OH JOY!!!!!! (that's me singing)

TwilightSurferChristmasAngel · 14/12/2008 19:14

Hello

hello hello hello

TwilightSurferChristmasAngel · 14/12/2008 19:15

drat! missed ya'll again!

no1putsantaupthechimney · 14/12/2008 20:26

hi tsangel lol at paying dd for towel folding.

sazzles thank you for the mince pies and mulled wine first this year.

dnephew update, he has been admitted needs ultra sound tomorow, but my dsis begged them to let her fetch him home as,has two other dc's, they said ok but he has a bed and to fetch him back if temp gets worse and has to be back for 8am in his bed to see Doctor when he starts his rounds.

oopsIstuffedaturkey · 14/12/2008 20:47

Evening all

No1 - hope Dnephew's night is okay and scan tomorrow is clear.

Helllllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooooo TS

We are packed! sleeping on the floor in the spare room for the next 2 nights as beds dismantled and our room is being used for storage. DD is very unsettled and everytime i have put her down when she falls asleep she instantly cries and won't settle - I have had to feed her constantly and the only time she fell sleep is when I fed her to sleep at 11am then lay with her for 20mins until I ws sure she was sleeping then I got 45 mins packing done before she woke again. since then NO sleep at all and she is very clingy. I have just fed her to sleep and she went in her moses basket with a little grizzling but seems to be sleeping now.

Tomorrow we have to go and clean the new house after the decorators leave. Get curtain poles up and try and organise the order I want things moved in the morning.

Our internet goes off tomorrow night but hopefully will be on again by wednesday - aaaaarrrggggghhh who will I cry/rant/yell (delete as applicable) at?

BUT on the positive side I get to put the christmas tree up and decs done. yippee.

NoroomattheCaveman · 14/12/2008 20:56

Ahhh, just popping on quickly as wineoclock is fast approaching (7 mins....) and TopGear is on at 9 too.

All well here, weaning going well

Will catch up tomorrow when I get the broom out of my arse 5 mins to myself. Mr CC is in the doghouse for not letting me have my lie in today, because he had a hangover

AndHeaVanAnnNatureSing · 14/12/2008 21:09

HI all Just popping in to say Hi. Had a couple of bad nights here. Little man has been crying in his sleep a lot. Not waking up just properly crying in his sleep, so I've had to keep getting up to put his dummy back in. Friday night had no sleep till 7 Saturday morning. So sad weekend is over, and will be losing DP to the work grind again.
Have not bought any Christmas presents yet.
Hope everyone's ok, haven't been able to catch up on the thread.

sambo303mincepiesconsumed · 14/12/2008 21:24

evening all
No1 your poor dsis, hope all goes well tomorrow. If DS so much as goes off his food I freak out, can't imagine him being actually ill

TS lol at the contract, what was the damage in the end? 25c per towel sounds a lot to me, but then, I do have a Scottish heritage

Sazzles oh dear, am I the only one with no xmas decs/tree up now? apart from Oops who's got a good excuse. I think I better get a move on as I don't feel Christmassy at all yet. Asked dp if we could go to the carol service at our local church on Thurs - he said I could go on my own, he hates singing .

CC wine o clock is 9pm ? I always thought it was 5!

sambo303mincepiesconsumed · 14/12/2008 21:27

Ann you poor thing, no sleep til 7 am Sat sounds very rough indeed. Hope you've managed to catch up a bit over the weekend.

I did my xmas shopping in 2 hours on the net about 4 weeks ago practically on one website (everyone's getting eco/green pressies). Thank god for internet shopping , cant imagine traipsing round the shops with a LO. DS has a shopping radar and starts crying the second my hand touches a clothes rail.

BucketsofReindeerPoo · 14/12/2008 21:46

Found the following on screen earlier, beautifully typed by my 5yr old DD! Needless to say she's not getting the Nintendo.

DEAR FATHER CHRISTMAS
I HAVE BEEN GOOD. I WOOD LIKE TOO HAVE.
A ROBOT PUPPY.
A NINTENDO DS
CANDY.
HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3 DOLLS.
CAN I RIDE RUDOLPH?.
LOVE FROM
LYRA.

Ann what a nightmare, clear any plans you have for tomorrow other than vegging in your room with the baby and only venturing out for the loo and for snacks.

No1 what a brave little guy, your DSis must be going mad. Fingers crossed he just needs some antibiotics.

BucketsofReindeerPoo · 14/12/2008 21:47

Sambo what website? Need something gadgety for my Dad, a green gadget might be nice.

BucketsofReindeerPoo · 14/12/2008 21:49

VG calendar will be in post tomorrow.

Am off to fall asleep with a book on my face as have been so spacey and sleepy today. Really not myself this weekend. G'night all.

sambo303mincepiesconsumed · 14/12/2008 21:55

Buckets website here

dizzyjingles · 14/12/2008 22:00

buckets am exactly the same this weekend, I cannot keep my eyes open and I'm a bit down about something and nothing really so have been lurking rather than posting

DD1 has also requested a Nintendo DS but did so by saying 'I know what I want for Christmas mummy but I know you won't let me have it'

clever girl

Dylan definately getting teeth as constantly dribbling and getting a bit mean and chewy I think she's going to be my last so would really like to keep bfeeding for as long as possible but if this is what she's like with just her gums am not convinced she'll play nice when her teeth actually come in

No1 will keep fingers crossed for your DNephew

Poppysocks arrived safe and well and said the girls were very good on their journey so that was good news, she's now cooing over her brand new neice

sorry for short post but apart from buying a RIDICLIOUS tree (see facebook photos) not much else but the usual perpetual chaos going on in dixie household!

SazzlesIsASleighBell · 14/12/2008 22:23

Yay, Christmas cards finito . I feel i can relax into Xmas now and let DH take the strain

buckets How adorable is your DD? If she were mine i'd be buying a reindeer , but maybe i'll become a bit more savvy when DD reaches 5!

dizzy nice to see you delurking for a minute and here's a lovely Aug Mummies > to try and help take away the blues

OP posts:
TwilightSurferChristmasAngel · 14/12/2008 22:30

Dizzy I checked out your tree and it reminded me of many many many Christmas both with my dad as the tree huntsman and with DH as the tree huntsman. Needless to say that's the reason DH required the purchase of our fake pre-lit tree this year.

Ann I've gotten so use to the wake and reinsert dummie routine that I almost sleep through it now. AUTO PILOT IS WONDERFUL.

As for contract with DD1, she earned 5 quarters (that's a $1.25US). It's not a big thing because she'll leave it laying around for me to clean up.....so it goes back in my coin jar. I loose nothing, she begins to learn how to earn money, and I have towels in the bath although not folded quite to Martha Stewart standards mind you.

Chicken casserole in the oven for 30 more minutes. DD1 screaming in her room because I threw away the christmas paper tube (after she threw it at me very spitefully). Reese is watching tv with her daddy. DH watching tv, playing some internet game and keeping an eye on Reese. Me...I'm still doing lots and getting nothing done: laundry, bills, taxes, garbage, cleaning, dishes, wrapping (dh had a few items i didn't know about), downloading itunes, chatting on facebook, posting on mn, .....see i'm a bit scattered this evening.
