oops please can i have Emma's bedtime back? She cries, you go in and she gives you a broad smile and coos and chatters and is ok for 10 mins lying there looking round and listening to music and then she starts the cycle again. She hasn't napped since about 3pm - over 7hrs awake . I am thinking of entering her into some kind of hardcore non-sleeping competition as i reckon she could win us loads of money

Sazzles am of underfloor heating which is the height of luxury in my book. Dont be too of the carpet - it's my parents 10 year old living room one which has been out in the garden since August in a tarp and has a mould patch on it - hopefully the bed will be over that bit

It is a luxury if you can afford to turn it on - if not it is a PITA as it's SO cold. Also the people who extended the house before us decided that it would be a great idea to ONLY have underfloor heating in there so our bedroom has no heating on at all . We haven't resorted to sleeping in woolly hats and gloves.....yet

Morning All

Well ,dp fed ds at 11.30pm then he woke at 3am and 7.15am. DP turns to me and says, Well that didnt work did it? - he was expecting a full night's sleep. I pointed out that we have gone from waking at 1am, 3 am and 5am to one wake up = progress.

DS did only drink about 110ml - couldn't manage the whole 140ml

We have DP's long lost friend from Oz visiting tomorrow for the weekend: after he's gone DP can sleep in our new spare room whilst I lord it up in our new boutique (thanks VG) bedroom.

DD slept for ages last night I topped her up at 11ish, which she never even noticed, and she slept until 7.45.

We are off to the dentist today - my teeth are a not great since severe morning sickness - I didn't learn until too late that it is bad to brush your teeth immediately after being sick you should wait 20 minutes. I am not looking forward to this!

I'm making Christmas baubles for Felix's new cousins - his 6 month old cousin (my brother's) and my sisters new babe who is 15 days younger than Felix. Making brown felt which will be a robin and making a snowflake out of an old skirt. I'm embroidering their names on them and 'My first Christmas' . I'm not the neatest sewer in the world but I thought they'd be a cute item to keep for future Christmasses (spelling! what is the plural of Christmas, Christmasi?). It's great getting all my crafting stuff out, now the living room really does look like a bombsite!

oops Although I know small babies do not always sleep through til they're older, I would like to know if you did anything special to get DD to sleep 11 to 7.45??? I have just gone with whatever DS wants to do...maybe not the right thing to do? Thinking I should increase feeds in the day and make sure I start at 7am ish
