why I mean how long can the growth spurtd last??????????????

rotterpotter beautiful dcs and the cake is fantastic.

well done on the smear, I must get mine booked.

no1putsantaupthechimney · 09/12/2008 07:35

I too am going to try and come to the bristol meetup.
Think conversation with dh might be on the same lines as vg

Just need to work out if I am confident enough to drive or just get a train.
(I have drove all the way to wales so think I could manage it)

will check out train timetable anyway.
Is Cabot Circus anywhere near the train station???

no1putsantaupthechimney · 09/12/2008 07:37

sazzles ds has also refused a bottle, I too though I will wait till he his really hungry to try, but he is feeding so much lately I have nothing or no time to express.

All supplies from freezer now all gone too.

no1putsantaupthechimney · 09/12/2008 07:39

oh and sazzles guess what???

we have a microfibre thingy cloth that we use to clean the high gloss kitchen units, and it lives under the sink cupboard (which I might add is very tidy and organised due to dh)

well we found it with a huge hole nibbled out of it yesterday and it was fine on sunday because I used it.

We put traps down yesterday, but not been touched yet.

SazzlesIsASleighBell · 09/12/2008 07:40

About 10 min walk No1

no1putsantaupthechimney · 09/12/2008 07:41

Thanks for tea and breakfast

I am tempted to wake ds as he woke me all night, but there is a pile of ironing to be done, food shopping to go get and pile of ebay items to take to post office.

no1putsantaupthechimney · 09/12/2008 07:42

can you tell I have had no one to talk to

SazzlesIsASleighBell · 09/12/2008 07:49

Same for me No1 hence getting up at ridiculous o'clock to express (Emma fed at 4.15am so i knew i had a little time this morning)

No traps set for a week or so here - i may put some out though as I can still hear them running above Emma's ceiling

Morning all

Why is it I have a stinking cold and when DD wakes up to play at 7am I feed then we get up - DH who is finer than a fine thing with fine spots on it is still sleeping????? She had been fed and everything he just needed to bring her down and lay her on the sofa and she amuses herself (as long as she can see you ) I feel like I have swallowed a box of nails, big fat swollen sinuses and cottonwool in my head. Oh and DD thinks my voice is funny (now) she cried when I said good morning wwhen she woke up.

I'll have a cuppa thanks Sazzles need it.

oopsIstuffedaturkey · 09/12/2008 07:56

My dh got up for work this am and said even though he didnt get up in the night he was awake every hour too as he heard us.
He did offer to get up with him if I was ffeeding.

Think may be a lot cheaper to drive

oopsIstuffedaturkey · 09/12/2008 08:28

DD is sitting on DH's lap and has just discovered she has feet and they have confused her no end. I have been sitting here laughing at her! gotta go order curtains!

SazzlesIsASleighBell · 09/12/2008 08:44

Still waiting for Emma to wake . Why oh why didn't I go back to bed? Mind you I have a very clean cutlery drawer now!

OP posts:
AliEightMaidsAMilking · 09/12/2008 08:49

morning all...

was just looking at trains to see if there was any way I could make the meet-up in Bristol, but I don't think it's going to be possible

oops lol at feet!

Hope Seb let you get some sleep Ann - Adam has decided that bedtime is some point after midnight - he's perfectly fine all evening, happy and gurgling away, just not tired! Unlike his mama, who gets very droopy past about 10pm (god how pathetic). Any idea yet when you'll be in Scotland and where? Will be in Edinburgh for a few days over Christmas, so there's a possibility I could make it for a north-of-the-border meet-up. Will have to check when I'm actually going to be there though (DP has made all arrangments so far, so I have no idea when we're actually going)

Rotter your DCs are gorgeous! And definite FBG award for that cake - it's brilliant. THink the baking genes have skipped a generation in my family - my mum is an amazing baker...me - not so much . Have told her that as she's so brilliant she has to make all of Adam's birthday cakes .

Update on the ring...so after rings for godparents ordered and bought, ring sizer thingy that DP ordered turned up. So he asks me to try it...on my ring finger!

BucketsofReindeerPoo · 09/12/2008 09:15

Ann, could you maybe persuade DP to take a couple of days off for a minibreak on the West coast? Sure the local ladies could find you somewhere cheap but nice at that time of year.

Had a rubbish night, fed Kurt at 1am but couldn't get a burp so lots of stops and starts (me stupidly running into my own bed everytime.) Then he woke at 4.30 and I thought you don't need a feed, you just need your cracko'dawn poo and sure enough he did. But after I changed him I managed to get him back to sleep til 7am, yay! Hope solids will shift his poo pattern along a bit when we start them!

Bristol meetup folk, check out trainline.com, if I book soon I could get my tickets as singles for £14.50!!!

FestiveGardenia · 09/12/2008 09:36

Had completely rubbish night too, a lot of crying which we don't normally get, and a lot of feeding and a lot of sicking and general mayhem.

Anyone give a guide on a meetup time? Is it lunch, or coffee and cakes, or whatnot? Useful for me to know time re flights etc. I will be paying 25 quid each way for me and ds2 together, pretty ok really I think.

Re. London meetup I don't know, I think I missed the posts where the Bristol one was mooted for the first time.

Ali how exciting re. ring! Do I remember correctly that you are already talking about getting married but hadn't actually had the kneeling, begging DP bearing jools? Hope it happens soon, suspense must be killing you!

Laughing at the feet too, ds has shown no interest in his, but I've seen other babies younger than him lying on their backs holding their feet and nibbling them, very sweet. I don't think ds realises he has feet...

NoroomattheCaveman · 09/12/2008 10:24

With you on the feet score vg, ds2 has realised he has got hands but has no clue what lies below his knees (or his arse for that matter!).

I'm off to town shortly to finish my Christmas shoppping . Jolly dee.

AndHeaVanAnnNatureSing · 09/12/2008 10:29

Hi all. Seb eventually went down after 1 this morning. Think the weekend has thrown his sleeping pattern out. DP stayed up as well, as he says he can't sleep when I get huffy and annoyed.
Ali I have no idea whatsoever when I'll be up in Scotland, as DP's boss hasn't made up his mind about what's happening over CHristmas. So it's not looking like it will actually be over Christmas now. Which means that by next year it will have been 3 years since I last spent Christmas day with my family.
How exciting about rings though. I've been hoping DP would ask, but I didn't even get a birthday present, let alone a ring. What happened to the days when he used to make me breakfast in bed, and bought me designer gear for birthdays and Christmas.
Buckets I'm not sure about the mini-break idea, mainly because if we don't get to visit my parents at CHristmas, it will be sometime in January.
