Here we are, finally made it to another thread.

Congratulations Sponge, that's exciting! How do you feel? Rotten?

Auntgriselda, Hasan is feeding loads! Usually wakes at 5.30 for leisurely breakfast, then mid morning snack, afters for lunch, mid afternoon snack, afters for tea, supper, evening snack, midnight snack. Ooh he's a so and so.

When I tried to cut him down he became more demanding at night He really howls if I turn him down So I haven't the heart turn him down (for now - am a softy walkover!)
The thing is I'm available and on tap all day and all night.
I'm resigned to going cold turkey because I think if I try to do it gradually it will prolong the agony. At the moment he eats well but not alot.
Once I stop he'll eat loads like his brother I think.

But keeping going until he is two if I can.

Still co sleeping with Hasan and ds2. They cuddle up together -very cute. I'm planning to eventually relocate to my own bed in the next few months too.

Cor really can't imagine having another little one now

No idea what to get him for Christmas......

another feeder here... every now and then we can almost go a day without BF and I start to think there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Nappy-free days and considering trying nights cos she usually has a dry one in the mornings. Can't be arsed with the washing if it doesn't work tho.

Kate has started pre-school. She needs it. It took her going for me to realise this. This made starting two days nursery easier now that I'm heading back to work.

mygreatauntgriselda · 28/09/2009 19:31

2.5 check? Oops cpompletely forgot (bad mother alret!)

kittywise · 29/09/2009 09:49

Elvis we had one. I told them he screamed so much he had made me go deaf and I wanted his hearing tested too!

I don't know if it's possible to damage your own hearing by screaming so loudly

Great that kiwi and Elvis are still feeding anyone else?

SuperSillyus · 29/09/2009 17:02

ooh I'm glad I'm not feeding anymore..but boy have I gone flat now

Hasan still is not out of nappies...I'm in no hurry though I will give it a go if he shows willing sometime soon.

He's very much still my baby. Still sleeps in beside me. The other night he was cuddling in and saying 'night night mummy..hey I want a kiss' he's a sweety.

I suppose I'll have to move him into his own bed at some point.

hmm, forgot all about 2.5 year check...I usually get a reminder in the post though..(irresponsible)

He and ds2 are constantly rolling around the place together like puppies.

Today he went to a creche while I did a reflexology course and there wasn't a peep out of him..he was quite happy. So that was a relief.

Today ds2 asked me if I would be having another baby and I said 'no I don't think so' and he said 'I think you will'!!

hmm, not much chance of that....

dustythedolphin · 31/10/2009 20:14

Where are you all?

kittywise · 31/10/2009 20:44

I'm still here!

blueberrysorbet · 01/11/2009 20:07

am back but swamped by admin so have been lurking a bit

ds went to pre nursery today for an hour with me and dh and dd -his first time. we stayed in the room with him and all the other mums/dads/ kids, about 10 of them and 4 assistants plus 1 teacher. they all seemed lovely except I showed myself up by bursting into tears anyway. - luckily ds didn;t see. tuesday i have to leave him for 1 hour and "stay close to the school in case he gets v upset" me and the baby will be in the car park. or hiding in the loo

happy b day kitty. what 2.5 yr check? what do they check for?

kittywise · 02/11/2009 11:03

Hi blueberrysorbet, How sweet that you cried. Ronnie went to preschool the day he turned 2.
I ran out of the door

Oh the check's nothing important, the normal stuff, can they see/ hear, are they mad, are you mad, how big are they.
You know all that anyway. I only went to get him, weighed and measured as it hadn't been done for over a year and I was curious

blueberrysorbet · 02/11/2009 20:05

kitty, running away! i am worried about leaving him, I have only left him for the day when i had dd in june, and my dh picked him up at 6! otherwise its always been me or dh. am DREADING it.

thanks for info re 2.5 check as am not in uk still so think am not missing much. he seems alright as there is no nhs, tend to stay away from docs...its about £40 just to wait outside their doors!

dustythedolphin · 02/11/2009 21:19

DD2 won't et a 2.5yr check as HV said she was too busy unless I think there is something wrong

blueberrysorbet · 11/11/2009 19:50

hi ladies, am stressed re nursery, anyone else having problems or have a solution? am now suffering from dreadful head and neck freezes which i used to get years ago when i worked in a v stresful job- changed jobs but can't do that this time (20 years ago!) have posted on this thread as well
"on this page www.mumsnet.com/Talk/2320/859092-new-at-nursery-issues-is-this-normal"

kiwibella · 18/11/2009 16:03

dustythedolphin... who are you??

Blueberry... Kate does the same thing. She's been going two days a week since mid-september and went happily at first. This week she started upsetting herself at home, before we had even left, when she realised I was wearing work clothes. It's traumatic leaving her trembling and crying but she is always happy when I collect her so I know she must be ok.

On the flip side, she also goes to pre-school two afternoons a week and happily skips across the road to there.

It's so hard to know what is best to do. I hope your ds works it out so that you can enjoy time with your precious bundle (who is not so little now).

How is everyone doing? I'm finding myself again after returning to work. I'd love to do it full-time but know I won't have any support at home and I would miss Kate incredibly. I won't compromise her!!

blueberrysorbet · 18/11/2009 19:59

hi kiwibella, its so stressful also wonder who is dusty?

ds marched dowstairs this am, flung himself on the sofa and annouced I AM NOT GOING TO SCHOOL so it was lucky today is not a school day..

had nightmare at hairdressers the fecker cut me a mad fringe and I look dreadful, like i did it myself when vvdrunk. its halfway down my forehead like a bowl cut. i keep catching sight of myself in wndows and cringing.

blueberrysorbet · 15/12/2009 19:40

is there anyone there???? yoohoo......!

dustythedolphin · 17/12/2009 18:30

I'm here. Previously foxy one and we are about to emigrate to Ireland (1 Jan)

Anyone out there?

kiwibella · 19/12/2009 23:14

exciting times for you, Foxy!!! What is your family up to? Did you get the job that you applied for?

Merry Christmas to all our little toddlers

dustythedolphin · 20/12/2009 09:05

Hi Kiwi [waves]

I applied for 3 jobs and got offered two so had to choose, but chose the one which was closer, more money, perm contract, flexible hours and better for my CV in the long run - no brainer really but I did feel passionately about the other job sound found it very hard. In the end I took DH's advice and followed my head, rather than heart. Hopefully its the right decision

Kids really looking forward to starting their new, tiny, Irish school, tho' inevitably I'm stressing about whether I am doing the right thing for them...

How are you all - what are you up to? xx Are you all prepared for Christmas?

blueberrysorbet · 30/12/2009 19:07

congratulations dusty, and lucky you getting to see rosy lots I hope!
Happy New Year to the few of us stragglers-not many of us left on this thread...

ButterPie · 17/03/2010 10:32

Hi, it just occurred to me to see if this thread existed!

Marianne is just turned 3, and is a little terror :D I also have a 4mo DD and i live in the North East (although also spend quite a bit of time in the North West)

Marianne is still in nappies (despite my best efforts!) and has a dummy at night and for naptime. She is good in other areas though, she knows a lot of letters for example. How are your 3 year olds doing?

Booboobedoo · 25/05/2010 18:56

Hi Everyone.

Long time no see!

Don't know if you'll remember me, but back-in-the-dim-distant I started the Due March 2007 thread.

Just spent the afternoon reading through this one - really nice to see how everyone's been getting on.

DS is an absolute delight (although he currently has a foul vomitting/diorhoea bug thing), and I'm expecting our second (and last) in November.

Anyone still there? Or have you all defected to FB?
