Here we are, finally made it to another thread.

Congratulations Sponge, that's exciting! How do you feel? Rotten?

Auntgriselda, Hasan is feeding loads! Usually wakes at 5.30 for leisurely breakfast, then mid morning snack, afters for lunch, mid afternoon snack, afters for tea, supper, evening snack, midnight snack. Ooh he's a so and so.

When I tried to cut him down he became more demanding at night He really howls if I turn him down So I haven't the heart turn him down (for now - am a softy walkover!)
The thing is I'm available and on tap all day and all night.
I'm resigned to going cold turkey because I think if I try to do it gradually it will prolong the agony. At the moment he eats well but not alot.
Once I stop he'll eat loads like his brother I think.

But keeping going until he is two if I can.

Still co sleeping with Hasan and ds2. They cuddle up together -very cute. I'm planning to eventually relocate to my own bed in the next few months too.

Cor really can't imagine having another little one now

No idea what to get him for Christmas......

mustard on nips? doesn;t your bra get all yellow?

my ds is so energetic- he is up at 6, runs about all day, sitting down for a bit for drawing/painting/ reading then up again... he is in bed for 8 though. i only know people really with girls his age and they just sit and play with dolls or just sit about , they don;lt insist on walking and running off! and are so quiet- is it just boys that are like this then? the baby is due in 6/7 weeks and it seems to kick all the time.. just like ds1. am not worrying about getting baby weight off!

mygreatauntgriselda · 07/04/2009 13:53

Blueberry - Not an excpert my my two boys just bounce around the house making boy noises. Its all that testosterone!! My daughter climbs and skips in a quiet dainty way and chatters constantly, but its not so over whelming somehow as the boys

kittywise · 08/04/2009 08:57

I don't know, dd2 is mental as anything, like she's running on duracell batteries!!!

Happy hols SS!!

callie hope Jordi comes through the old chicken pox ok, great he's got it now though. I'm still waiting for dd3 an Ron to get it.

We are still working through the vile flu illness, into the third week, most are better and of course stir crazy. Now it's my turn to feel shite.

Anyway It's Ron's Birthday today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's still feeding quite a lot, about 6 x a day, but not so much that I feel I need mustard!!!!
He is not rough but is still very whingy. I know he has actually damaged my ears with all the high pitched screaming. I am going to get them checked out to see how bad the hearing loss is

mygreatauntgriselda · 08/04/2009 12:49

Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday dear Ronnie!
Happy Birthday to you

kittywise · 08/04/2009 15:32

Thankyou auntie xx

blueberrysorbet · 10/04/2009 19:18

happy birthday ronnie! ds was chatting to me today about what he wanted as a present (mixer the boy loves to cook where has my baby gone?

advice needed from you with more than 1 lo- how do you manage the bf on demand ( i am going to do this again, all being well) with looking after a toddler? ds will be 2.4 months. my dh is off one week when i am in hospital, then he is back at work- he is a chef so not there at night either. ds runs off - not being naughty as such, just potters off at speed assuming i am behind him what do you do? i hate reins and its a bit late now...

feel dreadful really, went to drinks party -took ds as he was welcome- full of people whos eyes slid over me as boring pregnant person, left after 10 mins as nothing to drink except champagne- off booze at mo- host is lovely but i felt very down. didn;t help dh was at work so i was alone.

kittywise · 10/04/2009 20:17

blueberrysorbet, yes drinks dos are very tedious if you can't drink aren't they?

As far as bf goes I have small boobs so would feed whilst walking around. Also none of mine have ever fed for more than 5 mins at at time.
Don't know what I would have done if they were marathon feeders.
Actually I remind myself of animals like goats, cows and sheep( look like them too!) that I see running away from their persistent young who are desperately trying to get a suck!!! I think my kids have always sensed they need to get it all down double quick or I'd get too bored and throw them off

mygreatauntgriselda · 12/04/2009 20:56

Hoppy Easter everyone Hope its a chocolatey one xx

elvislives · 12/04/2009 21:40

Happy Easter all

DD's favourite word today is choc-choc.

She sat entranced by the Rocky Horror Show this afternoon, having been totally disinterested in Finding Nemo yesterday.

Our twatty neighbours decided to go out and shoot paintballs into a bucket this afternoon, complete with much giggling (mum and dad 40+, and 3x teens- I'm starting to wonder if they are retarded a bit special). The resultant bang sounded like an explosion and woke DD, who slept 3 hours yesterday at the same time I'm plotting all kinds of revenge.

blueberrysorbet · 13/04/2009 19:08

hi elvis, how did they even think of shooting balls into a bucket? were they a bit drunk?

kitty, ds1 fed for what seemed like hours on end, and he was far to heavy to lug about. had a dating scan on sat and this one is 2kg..(just under 5llb) and isn;t due til early June!

hope you all had a nice easter. waves!

SuperSillyus · 14/04/2009 09:39

Happy belated birthday to Ronnie.

Callie hope the chicken pox is better by now. I got itchy aswell when my kids had it which was a bit weird.

Blueberry at least you tried to socialise, I hope you find some more enjoyable things to go to soon. Are there any other pregnant women about that you can play with?

Yes my bra did go yellow and I also stank of mustard but I only did it for a couple of days in the end and now I just tell him 'no' during the day (he still tries) and he accepts that. (He knew he was taking the piss wee tike)

Had a lovely time in Youghal and got back at 3am so am sleep deprived today.
we didn't get round to getting any easter eggs! None.
Maybe I'll just have to buy some half price ones today if I can find any.

mygreatauntgriselda · 14/04/2009 12:49

Suoer glad you had nice hols

DS2 attacked me the other day, grabbed both boobies and tried to latch on - had to peel him off!! Was funny tho'! He didn't like the new milk cup I gave him, so had decided to try sourcing his milk from me. V Funny as he has not BF for about 7 weeks now

Elvis our neihbours sound v silly indeed You'll have to have an all night event at some point too

mygreatauntgriselda · 14/04/2009 12:49

your neighbours (ooops)

blueberrysorbet · 26/04/2009 21:14

has no one posted since 14 april? really?? have been offline for nearly 2 weeks(ds fiddled with cable, had to get man out)

he has had bronchitis -all expat kids get it doc said. finally found decent doctor, was getting fed up with "oh , he is a brit/ he has red hair, what were his allergies in the uk? have some zyrtec"

doing lots of cooking cheese straws and chocolate cake mostly to amuse ds as trying to stay at home a bit- only 6 weeks to go. before lo makes appearance...

am shouting at dh a lot sadly with horrible threats of leaving him as he leaves at 8.00am and gets in after midnight and its so hard with ds1 and being preg. he is also doing 6/7 at mo, so am not coping. bit worried am depressed tbh, ie cry all the time when ds asleep, worry like crazy my misery will make the baby mental before ots born, suffering in the heat, and if i get pnd. think am candidate tbh.

have made new friends, but do not want to scare them away (have only been here 2 months)

sorry ladies...

elvislives · 26/04/2009 21:41

It's gone very quiet (and I could never keep up with the antenatal threads )

Blueberry are you a name changer or a newbie?

I never seem to have anything interesting to post.. DD still isn't speaking as clearly as the others did. She's putting words together but only things like "mummy sit".She's joining in with songs without the words, which is funny. Favourite being Happy Birthday, which she sings as Happy OO you.

I wonder how greataunt got on in the Marathon?

mygreatauntgriselda · 27/04/2009 21:04

Elvisyou re confusing me with someone else lol!! I did a charity swim but not the marathon. Just got back from barcelona tho - was fabby!

elvislives · 27/04/2009 21:59

aah. Missed the vital word Corinne on your FB status

Did you take the children to Barcelona?

blueberrysorbet · 28/04/2009 11:01

elvis, you may remember me as spongecake

have no idea who you are now! are you on fb?

mygreatauntgriselda · 28/04/2009 13:23

Elvis I have no idea who you are either!!!

Yes Corrine is amazing - what a woman

I took the two eldest to Barcelona - was great - really felt like a holiday sans Fat Toddler. Since I have been back, he keeps cuddling me all the time, so cute

elvislives · 28/04/2009 17:33

greataunt we had this conversation back on 4th and 5th of March- scroll down (we met at Kitty's with kiwibella when the babies didn't walk)

My name used to be that of 2 animals, feline and polecat, that was the name of a medieval wizard from the 70s.

I had a RL friend work out who I was so I thought I'd probably given too much info away.

mygreatauntgriselda · 29/04/2009 13:35

Elvis geddit now! Doh!!

Look - Oh No: 91.207.50.20/~admin95/bbcflu/

elvislives · 29/04/2009 22:24

That's funny greataunt I particularly like the Institute for the Study of Made Up Illnesses.

blueberrysorbet · 30/04/2009 12:15

ds had his hep b jab today and was very brave, in his arm.. worse for me i think, and he bled really badly after. the nurse said that was because he is a redhead?? can this be true?

waves to those still here..

mygreatauntgriselda · 30/04/2009 13:09

Blueberry I'm a redhead & bleed the same amount as everyone else - what a load of tosh

Hope he is OK tho'

blueberrysorbet · 30/04/2009 20:41

yes, it was more my horror at the rivers of blood coursing down his arm- think she messed up getting the needle out. then the other nurse said all redheads bleed like that. what is it with these people? am imminent to give birth and could realy do with health care providers not feeding me sh1t.
she tried to put a sticker on him after and he slapped he hand away crying that " i don;t want sticker, take it AWAY"
