Here we are, finally made it to another thread.

Congratulations Sponge, that's exciting! How do you feel? Rotten?

Auntgriselda, Hasan is feeding loads! Usually wakes at 5.30 for leisurely breakfast, then mid morning snack, afters for lunch, mid afternoon snack, afters for tea, supper, evening snack, midnight snack. Ooh he's a so and so.

When I tried to cut him down he became more demanding at night He really howls if I turn him down So I haven't the heart turn him down (for now - am a softy walkover!)
The thing is I'm available and on tap all day and all night.
I'm resigned to going cold turkey because I think if I try to do it gradually it will prolong the agony. At the moment he eats well but not alot.
Once I stop he'll eat loads like his brother I think.

But keeping going until he is two if I can.

Still co sleeping with Hasan and ds2. They cuddle up together -very cute. I'm planning to eventually relocate to my own bed in the next few months too.

Cor really can't imagine having another little one now

No idea what to get him for Christmas......

wow - I haven't been here for ages and I see new babies and more on the way.

Dd3 is a real wild child. She has no fear - regularly climbs things and follows the older dds into mischief.

We went to the coast for a brief break and she was trying to plunge into ragin surf, face first into the pool, walking out into the passage and going until she was up to her neck in water. She is just mad.

her speech is incredible and regularly cracks dh and I up. her latest - stop it! I don't like it.

For christmas - she is getting a huge trampoline - really dd1 and dd2's big present but no doubt dd3 will be on there too. She is getting a book, new pjs, a beady thing - you know with the wire that you move the beads around, a princess tent and something else which has escaped my memory.

We have dd2 going off to kindy next year for three days so it will just be me and dd3 - be interesting to see how she goes. She spends all her waking time following dd2 especially and dd3 around.

We are heading towards our summer holidays. Next week last week of swimming etc and school. Then I have them all home for 6 weeks. We are not going away - dh only has two weeks off and we have so many things to do around the house.

Not much else to tell. I love having the three dds but that is definitely it for us.

sponge congrats! And more than a little
Eids lovely to get update! Finn is also a crack up talker. Current theme. Snotty nose mummy wipe it please.
Glam I am... Not with snot.
Shanks I saw your fb pics they are gorgeous girls!
Xmas list...
Aquadraw - Thomas
Umm he has everything as dd is flush with Lego, toy kitchen ( which he adores) etc

We took Finn to mcdonalds and tested him on their tree. Heonky removed 2 baubles. Correctly diagnosed the star and heart shapes and popped them back on carefully.
He has morphed into a put away player [cheers] all that is except for the Tupperware cupboard...

He is all better after hospital last week for pneumonia. Some residual wheeze but manageable.

Well not much else to report aside from usual tiredness/drinking too much/moaning etc!

TheBlonde · 05/12/2008 13:46

Callieco · 05/12/2008 15:01

Hello, found you!

Sponge, many congrats.

Life pretty rubbish at the moment. One of my uncles and one of my aunts both died three weeks apart and I've been up to Scotland twice for funerals. It's been absolutely heartbreaking, to lose two important people so close together. It was my mum's eldest brother and her cousin, who was like another sister as she came to live with the family when her parents died. I think I mentioned way back when that she had lung cancer. However, she had seemed to be doing well when I saw her after my uncle's funeral so we were all, her children included, lulled into a false sense of security I think. My had a bad heart, but actually died of septicaemia after getting a gall bladder infection. His heart and organs just couldn't cope. Coming on top of DS's cerebral palsy bombshell, it's all been a bit much. I so need something good to happen. I'm just constantly back and forth to appointments for DS, or sorting things out. I haven't done a piece of Xmas shopping what with the funerals as well. Also, DP has had practically no income recently as he's self-employed and there's been nothing happening, and if I didnt' have a job, we would have been out on the streets. Hopefully that is improving slightly, but it's still a lot of stress on top of everything else. Merry Christmas! Bet you're glad I posted today.

SuperSillyus · 05/12/2008 15:13

Callie by the laws of probability things must get better for you soon. That does sound like a really tough time.
There is still plenty of time to prepare for Christmas and I hope you have a lovely one.

Piffle so glad finn is okay again now and he sounds like a real wee character

The Blonde I posted on your thread not that I have much of a clue!

Eids lovely to hear from you and very of your good weather and DDs speach

The Fat Toddler can say "Mum" and "Bum", "yuss" and "no" and "car"

Callie sorry to hear all your sad news [hugs]

The Blonde sorry am useless a that kind of advice

Super - tee hee [hwink]

catweazle · 08/12/2008 19:13

Everyone has disappeared again

DD is determined that I will not drink tea.. Every evening I sit down with a cup of tea and she is over with her arms up, grizzling. In fact she spends most of her evenings grizzling and demanding to sit on my lap. As she goes to bed when I do I'm getting nothing done and no rest. It is driving me mad. Do any of the other toddlers do this?

kittywise · 08/12/2008 20:55

Callie I'm sure things will get better for you soon.

Eids, lovely to hear from you, very about your summer. We didn't have one here AGAIN.

Greataunt, maybe I should start calling Ron the skinny won't eat toddler

catweazle, Ron does that sometimes. Mostly he wants boob or "hum/num" as he calls it , God knows why that name!!!

How's everyone getting on with xmas stuff?

SuperSillyus · 08/12/2008 20:58

Catweazle everytime I sit down Hasan is over looking for bf.
He was going to sleep at 7.30ish so I was getting some time in the evenings but more recently he has taken to falling asleep at 5ish then waking up at 7.30ish to torture me all evening so I know what you mean. It would be lovely to have some 'me' time. I'm trying to keep him awake in the afternoon but it hasn't worked that way for a while.

Today we were out visiting and he fell asleep at 6.30 so now we are home he is up and running around -dusting with a cloth

SuperSillyus · 08/12/2008 20:59

Oh hi Kitty! I'm determined to get on top of christmas shopping this week, it's stressing me now! I haven't written my cards yet or anything! Where does the time go???

OP posts:
catweazle · 09/12/2008 09:26

Dusting! How sweet.

Kitty mine asks for num nums when she wants to feed. I thought it was odd until I realised that's her version of what I was saying when I pretended to feed her dolls!

Exciting news, my cousin's wife had her baby yesterday! He was 6lb 30z. They put the photos on facebook and he is so cute I hope we'll get to see them soon. I've only got 3 first cousins and he is the first to reproduce. Just a shame our grandparents are all gone now, but I'll bet my aunt and uncle are so excited they don't know what to do with themselves. (leading to another 'my MIL won't leave my new baby alone' rant?!)

mygreatauntgriselda4christmas · 09/12/2008 19:35

Hellooo all

Sorry you dropped off my threads list !!

Kitty we're getting on chatically with our Christmas arrangements

...had the tree up nice and early only to find DD had "undressed" it again

The Fat Toddler wrecks the house daily, but is beginning to say LOADS of words - he just repeats back lots of words

We tried a little test yesterday, calling out:

"Where is your nose?", "Where are your hands?" etc and he got most of them right He didn't get "feet" but did get "socks" and "shoes"

mygreatauntgriselda4christmas · 09/12/2008 19:36

Chaotically

mygreatauntgriselda4christmas · 09/12/2008 19:36

Cat, LOL at "num, nums"

mygreatauntgriselda4christmas · 09/12/2008 19:37

Super - Awww - Hasan sound so cute, dusting all night!!

kittywise · 10/12/2008 10:46

God, now au pair less AGAIN. AU pair kicked dd2 this morning and I've had to give her the heave ho

SuperSillyus · 10/12/2008 12:14

Kitty that is awfull! Kicked her? Oh dear...

I hope you get someone else soon. That must be very stressfull and upsetting for the children too

OP posts:
mygreatauntgriselda4christmas · 10/12/2008 13:47

Whaaaat???

Kicked your DD?

BungleMyJells · 10/12/2008 15:24

kittywise · 10/12/2008 17:16

The colour is irrelevant whoever you are. You are welcome to join us here though. Do you have a dc of about 20 months of age?

mygreatauntgriselda4christmas · 10/12/2008 18:26

kittywise · 10/12/2008 18:42

spongecake · 10/12/2008 20:53

ds is abandoning sleeping during the day now, of course he is still waking at night for a drink one or twice. exhausting as do need a bit of rest now.
he was v funny this morning as log man was here at dawn (!) delivering very loudly and shouting to his mate outside our windows. i was woken by "oooo, noisy noise" over and over again

am really cross with estate agent as the pic they have of our house on the net is a back view and dreadful we will never rent it! will be on phone 9 sharp

mygreatauntgriselda4christmas · 10/12/2008 20:58

Sponge when we tried to sell our last house, sily estate agent took a pic of our washing on the line and put it on the internet
