Dh - that's so unfair making Luke wait liek that . ds1 hated his pre-school boosters, so much so he is getting his knickers in a right twist about us going to the denstist tomorrow, just in case the dentist does injections too
eandh - am v impressed at Mreandh's consistently model behaviour! Supper sounds fab
Lizz - great pics
Can't think what else...knackered...fleruffle

laughalot · 21/01/2009 21:54

Evening

Have you missed me ? I have been a busy bee. I have had all new doors fitted and they are fab besides the fact that the joiner cracked his head open and needed stiches and the same day I fetched aidan from school and a little boy with adhd had attacked him he pushed him off a chair and scratched all his face this was on monday. Tuesday went to get him and he had slipped over in the playground got a blood nose and bust his lip and then to top it off today he got injured during pe and now has a egg on his head. As you can see he is at a good school .

Trix congrats what lovely news.

Eah how are you my lovely hows your phone still in the bath with you .

Rasin I need your address soon as I have a few bits for baby.

Rgee that reminds me I need your address for the bibs I bought .

Wilkie not long till your scan how exciting.

Lizz happy belated birthday to d love the facebook pics cant believe how much you are like your mum.

Pcf happy belated birthday to max not long for you now have you decided on a name ?

Dragon been there with the whole injection thing as aidan and lauren had them at the same time joy !!

Vino I know this may sound daft and tell me to be quiet if you would like but my friend at work had the same problem weaning her ds and it turned out he was tounge tied.

Right hello to whoever I have missed.

vinorouge · 22/01/2009 08:07

Lizz - if the bean bag is def from a shop on ebayyou are entitled to cancel the order and have a full refund. You can do this until 7 days after the day after delivery, if goods have actually been delivered you can send back but might have to pay return postage depending on shops t&c. (its my job to know this stuff!)
Pics of cake look great

E&H - yep the dressing up pics look cool! Not got anything like that here.

LL - thanks for tip about tongue tied. I am goign to get S weighed today so will ask HV about it generally.

I am still peeved that loads of my clothes are tight. Been running 3 times a week so far this year and drastically reduced amt of chocs/cakes/biscuits etc, enjoying it but I want faster results.

Bath time for my girls now then off to a friends for lunch before baby clinic.

eandh · 22/01/2009 08:31

OOOO Lizz Vin sounds like the woman you need to listen to

Vin- if you are ever getting dressing up stuff look in tesco/asda the outfits are normally £10-£12 versus the £30 in disney shop. Its one of the reasons I really miss Woolies as they had a fab dressing up range (although the blue dress Hattie was wearing was Giselle from Enchanted and reversable and the my favourite, although that was from M&S)

Ellie is proving to be challenging with her behaviour again! - we're back to the Drs again this afternoon to get her hearing checked again as we normally have the tv on volume 12 and she cant hear it until its 26 to 38 also pre school mentioned that a few times this week she has had trouble hearing instructions, I really want them to sort it befire September as I know when she gets to school she'll either misbehave out of frustration of not hearing or goes off into a dream world, I only have partial hearing and used to be the same as a child apparently.

Oh and paypal found in favour of that woman (thought they would as every thread I have read it seems they favour the buyer) so she has to send DS back to me and then refund her thankfully I have that insurance policy so can get it fixed and then will try to sell in local paper/advertising, although an going to ask the repairers to let me know how the fault was caused

eandh · 22/01/2009 08:32

and Vin well done on all that running (mental note to self must exercise more!>

vinorouge · 22/01/2009 20:41

e&h just saw about the 5p in the curry. You should report that to environmental health cos it classes as a foreign body. You can report it online on the consumerdirect website which is .gov.uk. Tesco make enough money, they should have all the black marks against them that they deserve!

Just written thank you cards for xmas and birthdya presents for girls.

Had lovely day at friends, few tears on HV about weaning but she said not to worry and better to give 3 lots of solids even if she only takes 2tsp each time so she is used to it 3x per day and I can build that up and cut milk down. forgot to ask about tongue tie though. Got home and S ate some banana hungrily even opening her mouth for it - typical!

Lizz i forgot to say it sounded fishy about the other mothercare store you went to! wonder what they ahd all been up to.

Wilkiepedia · 22/01/2009 21:51

Vino - remember my friend having same trouble with her son, he wouldn't open his mouth properly for ages but eventually got used to it. Have you tried just sticking with fruit pots or something for now?

Just been looking at Lizz & Vino's updated FB photos, feel all melancholy that our little people are growing up so fast!

OP posts:
eandh · 23/01/2009 05:56

woo hooo its dh payday thank God it seems ages since last pay day and he got his xmas/new year overtime so we can put some money away for hliday spending now

I ended up sleeping in with Hattie last night as DH & I both have cold but his snoring was unbearable and Hattie kept waking so was easier to just go and sleep with her. Ellie's drs appt went ok got to have her ears syringed in 2 weeks (that'll be fun as shes so co-operative ) if that doesnt work then referral to hospital.

Must go and make some beds and get showered in a minute as work day today and I have 10 managers end of year reviews to type

Reggiee · 23/01/2009 14:07

Afternoon! Am trying to ignore the increasingly desperate cries of 'mummmeeeeeee" coming down the stairs at the minute. I put her down for her nap half an hour ago and have heard pad pad padding across her room for ages. She's only just started calling for me. So funny, she's brill at going to bed at 6am, but not for her naps. I know, I know, she's probably about to drop them but I can't face that she is soooo tired today.

Yes Eah - agree - pay day is a looong time coming. I still have to wait to next week for mine after last being paid before Xmas. But I have spent loads this month too so my own fault. Inclduing booking a week in Centre Parcs in early October. For those of you who are CP regulars, what do you reckon I should do with an approaching 3 year old and 5 month old? Hope work wasn't too dull (I'm sure you won't be sneaking on here during work time....)

Wilkie ikwym re growing up so fast. Took Pip's official nursery Xmas photo to work and eveyone thought she looked about 4. She does look properly grown up. We'll have new ones to cuddle soon (and I bet it won't take me long before I'm posting saying I wish he was not a baby - I'm not good on no sleep).

Vino at running 3 times a week. V impressive! Easier said than done but don't stress too much about the weaning - they'll never starve. Cheeky minx for eating that banana!

Lal it sounds like you have been a nursemaid this last week. Sounds like lots is going on with you - did you get that wallpaper btw?

Lizz your fb photos are fab (haven't seen Vino's). Loved the cake, and DJ looks such a sweetie. And I really fancied that ice cream. Big noms.

Dragon thanks for the offer of the top. It would be too small for me and my MammaG's. Not thought about crunching mints instead of ice. It's just that ice is soooo satisfying. Bizarrely, not only didd I do this whilst last pg, but when I was about 13 - 15 years old. It makes me wonder if it's hormonal related, or what sort of mineral I am deficient in

Raisin did you get the books sorted? I've not come across Puddle Lane either.

Kat how did your playdate go with the woman-with-no-name?

So any plans this weekend? I have a (pg) friend coming to stay with her 19 month daughter, so no doubt there will be much baby talk which will thrill dh no end . Weather forecast is quite bad, but it's lovely atm.

Still lots of activity upstairs but she seems to be happy entertaining herself (and has stopped calling for me). Got her this very cheaply in the sales, which is now in her bedroom and I think she's cooking for her bears....

Reggiee · 23/01/2009 14:07

God that was a bit long...

Lizzzombie · 23/01/2009 15:03

Atishoo! (yes, another snot fest has decended on our house) Only one of my nostrils is running though, so I am looking very attractive!
I've just gotten off the phone after 45 mins with British Gas, and have finally sorted out trying to pay them. I've not had a bill since July, and then the sent me a huge estimated one, which came in at over 3x the amount it really was! Anyway, hopefully its all sorted now. But we have to pay back the period we weren't billed for which means our bills for both electric and gas are going to be BIG this year. Great. Love it. Fabulous. I may build a pyre in the garden and do all my cooking on that instead.

I have to wait in today for DJ's bean bag to arrive. It was actually only £5 extra than the Dunhelm mill one, plus £10 delivery. So, as long as its bigger than the D-Mill one I will be happy. Its really sunny outside now though, and when DJ wakes up he is so going to need some fresh air as we've been in all day. I know I will miss this flipping courier.
Another belated birthday present arrived today. Piece of sh*t plastic toy. But I actually had a conversation round this persons house with her about how awful these types of toys were, as her 12 mo had loads for xmas. I think she may have palmed one of his off on DJ. Its vile. Anyway....

EAH - My Mum has booked 3 nights in a Haven site in Weymouth in Mid May. When are you going? And whats this about 5p in your curry? I couldn't find a thread on that. I'd complain to Tescos and milk it for a free voucher. Say your 2 year old found it etc etc.
Vino - How come you are an ebay expert? What is your job?
Rgee - I didn't take most of the FB photos. DP has a very fancy camera which takes great photos (apart from of me!) If you are ever down this way I will take you on a tour of ice cream parlours. There are at least 4 fab independant old fashioned ones here. I can't believe I don't go more often, but at £5+ for a knickerbocker glory thingymagig, they are for special occassions only!
Wilkie - Did you ever get your maternity bra sorted out?
LAL - Hope Aidan is ok and no more disasters have happend. DJ looks like I've beaten him up at. He is covered in bruises and scratches from walking into things and falling off of things!
Right, best wake my child up before he totally sleeps until tea time! xxx

Lizzzombie · 23/01/2009 18:20

Bean bag is here.
It is bigger than the Dunhelm Mill one.
I may have to take some of the beans out as its rather overstuffed.....a bit like me....!

eandh · 23/01/2009 20:07

rgee I had a huge ice crunching fetish with Ellie and she loves crunching ice too!!

No thread on the 5p in the curry thing, just my facebook status although may start a thread as the customer service said I need to take it to a tesco (the 5p, wrapping and teh container except container is in bottom of bin eeeuck) and they'll refund the £2.99, I think they'll be doing alot more than that when I go in there

eandh · 23/01/2009 20:11

ooops pressed sent to early

lizz bean bag sounds like me too

rgee did she nap, hattie never naps with me anymore mil said she wouldnt go to bed today but she fell asleep on sofa at 12 whilst she was doing lunch

Wilkie is it your scan this week?

Brothers gf had had some pink/bown discharge and is worried I did send her links about impnatation bleeds but she says she has a funny feeling so we'll have to wait and see?

Lizzzombie · 23/01/2009 20:45

£2.99 refund?!?! Leave it out!
E or H (or one of you 2) could have choked and DIED.
I reckon thats worth a bucket load of club card points!

eandh · 23/01/2009 20:49

I said to customer services that my 2 year old could have eaten it and she said 'would you let your 2 year old eat a ready meal curry then' and I did explain that I wouldnt serve it up to them as their dinner but if we are eating something different later on after their dinner and they want to try a bit (as Hattie often does) then we let them have some and she just said well you need to go back in store, I am demanding that its sent off for testing!

Wilkiepedia · 23/01/2009 21:26

Cheeky bint EAH I would have got her name and chucked that into the complaint letter too. What does it have anything to do with her whether you would feed H it or not? That is totally beside the point??!

OP posts:
Lizzzombie · 24/01/2009 08:54

Thats outrageous!
What, so Tescos suggest that there ready meals are not suitable for 2 year olds? Does it say anything like this on their packaging?! I would include this in the complaint letter!

Wilkiepedia · 24/01/2009 10:21

AND - I give J mild curry, plus my friend whose husband is Indian is ALWAYS giving their DD (same age) spicy indian food as part of her diet?!?! Grrr.

Lizz - ended up keeping the maternity bras from Mothercare. Washed them which stopped them irritating me so much. Still think she was a bit cheeky though.

Why am I so nervous about the scan on Weds? I am such a profit of doom and gloom Mum is coming so I want it to be a nice experience for her and not have me worrying beforehand.

Reg/PCF/UD - do any of you suffer with achey back and sides in bed? I get really stiff around my bump in bed and it takes about half hour to wear off in morning. We have a really good mattress so I know it's not that

Got to go....J's just informed me that his Bob the Builder Badge that he has just stuck down the front of his vest is 'in his willy...' now ??

OP posts:
raisingrrrl · 24/01/2009 10:49

EAH - I am shocked at the cheek of the woman! Why wouldn't you give the kids ready meal curry? It's not going to kill them once in a while! Z always has whatever we're eating and hasn't died of malnutrition yet!

Wilkie - my whole body aches the whole of the time at the moment! Mostly my back, at the base of my spine, but also my pelvis and pubic bone. Gah. So fed up, sorry.

Had my last day at work yesterday, I'm going to miss work but I'm so ready for a rest!

eandh · 24/01/2009 16:51

finished work at 1pm collected girls from Il's Mum phones and asks if we're popping in (normally pop up there for a bit sat afternoons) I say ummm not sure got laods to do but Ellie wants to go and Hattie saying Grandad so popped in when Ellie decides she likes what they are having for dinner and Grandad asks if shes staying for dinner then she might as well sleep there (they have pj's,underwear and spare clothes) so shes staying there (again!) Hattie come home with me (they did say they'd have her but she kept saying No and home Mummy so she had a healthy dinner of fishfingers, waffles and beans and doing puzzles with dh now he is home.

I went to tesco when dh got home and they have logged an official complaint for me and have frozen te container etc so its sent for testing (although I didnt freeze it and its been on the side since thursday night) she refunded me the money but escalated it on the screen so I should get a repsonse from HO in next 2 weeks. I mentioned the woman from Ho and she added that on the screen, I also said what Lizz said

I have a fab receipe for childrens curry if anyone wants it

Wilkie - I was like that before every scan, before every midwife appt etc etc but I never relaxed until I had them in my arms

Raisan - oh I send you big (((hugs))) hope you are getting some rest, will Z still goes to nursery whilst you are off?

Right need to clear up all the puzzles that are on the floor and check what dh and Hattie are doing as I can hear water and giggling

Lizzzombie · 24/01/2009 18:47

Wilkie - Big hugs for Wednesday, try and be positive, you are a young healthy person. Will you be finding out what flavour you are having? Very cute xmas photos btw.
Eah - Glad the woman instore took the appropriate action and hope you get a suitable response.
Raisin - Mat leave..... 9 months is (almost) worth getting pregnant for!

We spent the afternoon at the Blue Bell Railway. It was lovely. Like going back in time. Really gorgeous. Apart from the tantrum DJ had when we were leaving as he wanted to go on the train again. No surprises there. Thoroughly recommend it though. There is a huge shop full of Thomas shite stuff at the end of it, Raisin, I am sure Z would love it just for that!

eandh · 24/01/2009 20:00

Just had a quick chat on msn to LTH, shes de reg herself from MN but lurks around, she sends congrats to rgee on the boy announcement (she hadnt seen that) and is going to keep an eye out for wilkies announcement

she said to say hi to everyone

Wilkiepedia · 24/01/2009 20:08

What's with the de-reging at the mo? Why did she do it? Is she a now? Hello if you are lurking LTH

I am watching MTV and there are some great 'toons' on - I wanna go out, get plastered and shake my pregnant booty....

EAH - glad Tesco took your seriously instore. Stupid bint on phone. I could have been very

Lizz - that looks fab! Wish we had something similar here. Yes gonna find out flavour. Still no closer to a boys name yet though!!

Raisin - are you still planning a homebirth? Am debating same thing

OP posts:
vinorouge · 24/01/2009 22:29

I'd like the curry recipe please E&H. Glad Tesco took you seriously, let us know what they say.

LTH - helllloooooo if you're there.

Lizz - glad bean bag was worth the wait and extra cash

Wilkie - my back still aches sometimes and did when I was pg. Lower back stiffens up and when it does I have to be careful how I move to get out of bed and how I bend down to pick things up for a few hours. I know dr will only give me exercises that I won't do so I just live with it. You will be fine at your scan, am sure seeing your little person will reassure you and I know you'll enjoy having your mum there. She is prob expecting you to be anxious beforehand anyway.

Raisin - yay! must be great feeling to have finished work again

Rgee - glad to hear all is well.

Well Ellen has used her potty all day and did a poo in it tonight with no probs so we are gonna try it again tomorrow and Monday while she is at my mums. If it seems ok we'll carry on at nursery on tues. We saw how quickly fruit shoots go through her though - she was on and off her potty every 5 minutes! Sylvie has eaten much better yesterday and today so I am much happier about that.

Been at work this morning, work every Sat morning now which is ok. Been for a walk to the park this afternoon then we were all in the lounge together for 2 hours before E&S went to bed. That never happens! But was very nice.
