hope ur al well..njoyin the sales

M2L - don't worry if Leah hasn't rolled, DD1 was a July baby and never rolled before Christmas, some roll early, some sit, some crawl, some bum shuffle they are all so different and do things at different times. One friends DD never crawled she just sat there observing my friend was worried about her as at 18 months she still wasn't walking. Now she's 3 and always on the move.

Baby weight - got to find something that you find enjoyable IYSWIM also good to get out the house and do something just for you, swimming??? Listen to me I never take my own advice.

pigley - freezing here too, I remember swining DD1 in her bouncer and her giggling away until she whacked her head on the door frame (bad Mummy alert)

disney - how is Samuel today? Better staying in in this weather

B is loving her highchair very content in it, still doesn't eat much but only 24 weeks today. DD1 cut her first tooth 5 days after her 6 month birthday, DD2 5 days before so we are looking at 6 months here too I think, definite little hard ridges underneath though.

M2L don't worry about Leah not rolling yet. As SK says they are all sooooooooo different....my ds 1 rolled over very quickly and sat up very quickly, didn't crawl and walked at 9 months. ds2 didn't sit up or roll before 7 months and was 16 months before he walked....he is 14, 5'10 and a rugby player now...and all the others varied as well. Abbie rolled over ages ago and then didn't do it again till yesterday and she is over 6 months now....2 weeks ago she was sitting unaided for about 10 to 15 secs and now shows no interest but she wants to stand on her feet...so you see no need to worry...just enjoy every moment

Baby weight....I have only recently started going down and at last am down to size 12 but worried it wont last due to xmas excess I know I need to do something for me and that will be my new years resolution.
I am returning to work on Feb 2nd and so I will have a month of all children either at school or childminders during what will be my working time....I intend to make use of this by going to a few fitness classes and the gym and swimming..... watch this space...will I stick to it

Disney Sam is in everyone's thoughts and hearts.

Isaidkissmeunderthemistletoe · 31/12/2008 09:43

M2L - Poppy still can't roll ans she is 28 weeks. Ds1 never rolled, just sat up, then eventually crawled. Ds2 rolled at 12 weeks and crawled before 6 mths.

cass66 · 31/12/2008 11:22

ed hasn't rolled over yet. I'm not worried. he kind of sits. I was told they only do one thing at a time, I think Ed is learning to sing, the amount of noise he makes!

Is anyone having probs with facebook??? mine loads half way down the page so I can't read it all.

Happy New year to all. have the grandparents coming over, so have been to Tescos. it wasn't too bad!! Me and a few friends organise a family party in the village hall today, with a DJ and bring a plate for the buffet. it's usually good, we have about 120 people coming! have to make a pasta salad as my contribution.

my middle child is behaving very badly, seems to think she is above all forms of discipline. hmmmm. Cass. XX

pigleypudding · 31/12/2008 12:37

Abigail hasn't really rolled over yet either.
She has done front to back a few times but not back to front. When on her back she will roll onto her side and just lay there playing on her side. Im not fussed. She much prefers to be sitting up which she does perfectly now with a very straight back- Better posture than me!
She really enjoys standing now too and can support her own weight well with just holding my fingers for balance.

We all went swimming this morning.. Much more successful than our last/first attempt! We lasted a good 30 mins with plenty of smiles.
She seemed to prefer just being held in the water as apposed to sitting in the inflatable seat thing. She loved splashing about and trying to drink the water!

No plans for anything exciting here tonight. Same old! Prob be asleep by 11! Wild child I am hey!
Off to "GreatNannys" for lunch tomorrow then on onto my parents to meet up with my aunty and uncle- MORE Presents!

Baby weight- Well I was lucky that I was back to my normal weight after 2 weeks but have noticed it slowly creeping back on and I know have about 6/7 lbs to lose again
No point in worrying yet until the kitchen is clear of all the Xmas goodies!

sweetkitty · 31/12/2008 12:51

Morning all Happy Hogmanany I went shopping at 8.30am this morning and it was heaving, there were no potatoes left! The shops are shut for ONE day.

Not doing much here either have treated DP and I to a bottle of champagne for "the bells" tonight.

Bethany must be the roller of the thread she is still all over the place I have packed away the baby gym now as she hate lying on it. She likes her walker but cannot move it yet but I think she loves being upright and able to see, I have honestly never met a baby as nosy as she is. Her other new thing is getting a few toys on her walker or highchair, naging them then throwing them off, the minute the last one is off she starts wailing for them, so high maintenance.

DP has taken DD1 off to see Madagascar 2 felt sorry for DD2 but she wouldn't sit through a movie yet.

cass - your party sounds great

pigley - haven't taken B swimming yet will have to go one morning when DD1 and 2 are in nursery.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

  • hope there are not too many sore heads this morning xx

disney my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family for little Samuel xxxx

DonutMum · 01/01/2009 13:39

Disney, hopes and prayers for Sam and for strength for you and your family. I'm so sorry.

I hope 2009 brings all the good things that we wish for.

Isaidkissmeunderthemistletoe · 01/01/2009 15:03

Happy new year all! May it be a good one for everyone, and especially Disney and Sam.

FrostyTheSnowMin · 01/01/2009 16:54

Hello all, so sorry Disney to hear Sam is unwell, but like you he is such a fighter. You are both inspirational.

No hangover here as I was too bah-humbug to even have a drink and went to bed at 11.15!!

P rolls back to front but only when naked, we use cloth nappies and I suspect that they hinder rolling as they are quite bulky. She is getting blonder by the day, I wanted one that looks like me!!

Baby weight - plateaued a bit here, much as I hate NY resolutions I do want to get back on track. I am thinking of the Strictly Come Dancing exercise DVDs and will go back to my Buggyfit classes, but I definitely need something for indoors!! Too bloomin cold outside right now...

I hadn't even had my first scan this time last year... was a week away from being 'official'. I remember crying when I told a few people and they took that to mean I wasn't happy about being pg! Er, no, I'm just hormonal... remember what I just told you...

Isaidkissmeunderthemistletoe · 01/01/2009 18:01

Hoorah - Poppy just rolled over (front to back) - min we have cloth nappies too and she is naked from waist down at the mo so you could be right.

On the weight front I am ok - 8 stone 3, the same as pre preg, but I am soooo unfit. My bones creak like an old woman's. So I am on a health kick - at least 5 fruit / veg a day, drink more water and less wine, and get back on the wii fit. Will prob last til next week!

Isaidkissmeunderthemistletoe · 01/01/2009 18:02

We haven't heard from bebejones for ages - I just facebooked her. I'm worried about her arm thing.

Isaidkissmeunderthemistletoe · 01/01/2009 19:53

Just had some fab news - a friend of ours just called to say his girlfriend is pregnant - due July 10th 2009!!! They've been together about 2 years and are sooo happy it's fab. Also he is 50 and I think he thought he was never going to do the family thing.

sweetkitty · 01/01/2009 21:21

Isaidno - aww congrats to your friend I was due 10th July 2008 well done Poppy on the rolling, B is all over the place but adores her highchair she is very content in it, think she loves being up high and seeing everything. I am with you on the being very unfit thing and health kick thing too although cannot give up chocolate apparently it is essential in the production of breastmilk

Worried about bebe too hope she is OK she sounded very down last few posts

Min - I know last year seems like ages ago, just wait until this time next year they will be walking and be toddlers and everything but

disney - as always you are Sam are in my thoughts

Happy New Year to everyone else, I wonder who on here will be the best to announce a BFP (I'm out the running)

pigleypudding · 01/01/2009 21:54

Happy New Year everyone!

How different to my pre-baby days!- Last night we went to bed at 11 for our own celebrations then watched the Fireworks on the TV.

Spent today visiting parents and my swapping more presents with my Aunt and Uncle.

Isaidno- Hoorah for Poppy rolling and your friends pregnancy.

It was New years eve last year that i had my first scan... very exciting but feels like years and years ago

Disney- May 2009 be a healthy one for little Samuel!

smudge123 · 01/01/2009 22:00

Happy new year everyone.
Hope you all had a good xmas . I have been having loads of probs with my dh lately so haven't been on here for a while. I have just skimmed about 6 pages!!!

Jack is doing really well in his baby walker, he now knows where the washing machine is and keeps ramming it as he thinks that will make it go round!!! If it doesn't he starts to growl at it!!
His table manners are appalling!!! But how do you make them understand that shouting and growling at you doesn't make the food come any quicker? He gets so angry then tries to launch the bowl at me! He does however understand the word no now!! When i tell him no, he scowls at me then sulks!!! God help me when he is 16!!!

Im really impressed by the leaps and bounds all ur babes are making! 2009 is gonna be a busy year for us all!

disney our thoughts are with you and your family, we are thinking positive and sending Sam our get well soon vibes. Jack is looking forward to meeting him in RL at his birthday.
I tell J about all your LO, he sometimes looks at me like im mad, and at other times he listens very intently. (i put this down to him being male and not just being a baby!!!)

Poledra · 02/01/2009 00:18

Now SK, why have you put yourself out the running for a BFP? I am out the running as I am back on the Pill, seriously considering the contraceptive implant and am considerably older than you.

Actually, Isaidno is the most out of the running I think - how are your DH's crown jewels these days, Isaidno?
