Hi All- been AWOL as been puking up all weekend Oh God - it reminded me of being pg again and rapidly got shot of my broodiness - take heed SK and MINKUS!!! DH had to take yesterday off as I was so fainty/weak.

Spent all day today cleaning as the house was gross

FROSTY - sounds like you need to invest in some good mulit-vits and minerals and some Bcomplex vits - mouth ulcers are a classic sign of low vit B12 (best to take B vits as a complex though) - they will make your urine bright yellow but very gal should yake them when deprived of sleep and generally ruin down. I would also strongly recommend some probiotics for everyone at the mo due to all the bugs doing the rounds. I only got mine on Saturday and had already caught the sicky thing by then A huge part of your immune system is invloved with your gut bacteria. Hope you feel beter soon.x

BEBE - hope you are ok lets us know how the xrays went. Wonder if it is a weird strain of Bellspalsy type thing?

DISNEY AND CASS - enjoy your trips and DISNEY - we request photos of you all spruced up

TJUICE - enjoy your family whilst you can -cosy in - outside will still be there

GILLY - how you doing?

SK - do you think you ought to go see your GP for a wee chat? Think you should consider itxxx

SPLINTER group? Read something about someone being huffy about a MN post about oldies and newbies - is that what it stemmed from? You are so right there are loads of people on here who post things without thinking about other peoples feelings. As it is not real life they must think it is ok to be that way. lets face it there are rather a lot of people who seem to be lacking in perspective with regards to other peoples lives - eg economic situations, demographics, life experiences etc . A bit petty to flounce off in hissy fit IYAMT

Hi to everyone else too.

Mostly sorted here - DD at nursery tomorrow and DH finished up today until the 5th so tomorrow. Shop for tatties, nappies and bread. Wrap up couple of pressies, wash some floors, prep veg and makes some curtains Got friends invited on Sunday and got material a couple of weeks ago for dining room and have not made them yet.

Oh well am off to wash the dye out me hair - nite allxxxxxx Wishing all you a lovely cosy restful nights sleep - all night Louis, Bethany, Phoebe and friends!!

RumpeliciousChristmasWishes · 23/12/2008 22:02

my dh has been getting mouth ulcers maybe 2 or 3 a week for over 6 mths now
also a stranger thing his lips keep swelling huge its either one or the other or both which can last hours at a time
now as well as mouth ulcers and lips swelling we went out not long ago and his lips went then the other lip then his eyes puffed up swelled up and looked like hed been punched in the eyes it came within minutes
any ideas what this can be or what can he take

disneystar · 23/12/2008 23:01

bebe you really need to see a doc hon sorry if youve already been apologies if i have missed this
its just that i have an illness ive had it for over 4 years now and it affects my central nervous system, and is a pain all the time making me slower and slower
i had to have mri scan which diagnosed me and that the only thing that did it not BT or xrays
i know im away this week but if you need any help please ask ok im only down the road so to speak from you even if you only need lifts to hospital
just ask, dont struggle when you dont have to.
were at butlins now and samuel still awake and im shattered

Isaidkissmeunderthemistletoe · 24/12/2008 07:33

disney - could your dh's lip thing be some kind of allergic reaction?

JODIEhadtoomanymincepies · 24/12/2008 08:12

Morning all.
bebe sorry to hear you are getting worse. hop the docs can sort you out sharpish. When is your appt?

disney has your DH tried antihystamines? just a thought. Your pics of Sam are so lovely, he's coming on leaps and bounds isn't he!

rumpel nice to hear your back in the land of the living! hope your feeling better now. We've had the bug too, not nice is it. The only one that escaped it was Sam, thank god!!!

Well i think its time to start taking weaning seriously, Sam will now not take his milk if there is other food to be had and he can wolf down a rice cake in seconds! He's 25 weeks now so might get some porridge in!

Happy Cristmas Eve everyone!

RumpeliciousChristmasWishes · 24/12/2008 12:50

DISNEY -sounds like classic allergy symptoms. You need to keep a food diary to see what he has eaten when it happens - very difficult to determine what it is causing it.
Most common food allergens are nuts, (including peas very often, eggs, shellfish, dairy.

Other things are latex, some preservatives and E numbers, colourants. If he is getting worse each time it can be quite serious as your body produces anti-histamines each time you are exposed and then one day your body can go into anaphylaxis. Allergies can often just happen too. Remember to check food labels as you find weird things in food that you wouldnt expect - eg dairy added to meat, wheat flour as a bulking agent, e numbers and colourants in medications.
Have a fab hol.

Ta JODIE - no one in our house escaped! Anyway must go get started with these curtains.

merrykittymas · 24/12/2008 20:57

Evening ladies I have 2 out of 3 asleep right now, I can still hear DD1 up and about (she has been up 3 times for the toilet since she went to bed ) DP gone to mass so hopefully by the time he comes back DD1 should be asleep and he can get up the loft.

Bethany still really snotty and has her gunky eye. I gave her a little banana mashed up with some BM tonight, first taste she was not sure then her mouth was looking for it like a little bird, bless her didn't give her all that much scared she gets constipated like DD2 did.

It's so exciting isn't it? I'm like a big kid I will probably be up at 6am unable to sleep tomorrow morning.

If I don't get on here I wish all of you and all the babies a lovely Christmas

Isaidkissmeunderthemistletoe · 24/12/2008 22:49

NotanOtter · 25/12/2008 00:36

merry christmas one and all - we are not quite done yet! too many children!

have a lovely time! x

merrykittymas · 25/12/2008 06:56

MOrning all and Merry Christmas

As usual Mummy is first up she cannot sleep although I think there is something nice about having a bit of time to yourself with just the Christmas tree lights and all the presents. Santa has been here and then some.

Got very emotional last night as had a search to see what I was posting last year. I was almost 12 weeks pregnant, had had some bleeding and the EPU wouldn't scan me so we didn't know if the baby was going to make it, with having the mc in August I was terrified. I wrote that when I was hanging up the 2 stockings on Christmas Eve I wondered if I would be hanging up 3, and last night I did. Seeing that in writing had me sobbing, had to go upstairs to see B, and bless her she couldn't even open one of her eyes for gunk but still smiled at me.

They are great these little babies (even though she never sleeps)

Anyway have a great day everyone xxx

libraladytistheseason2bjolly · 25/12/2008 08:25

Merry Christmas one and all. I'll try to keep up with what's been going on whilst I'm off.
Big hugs to everyone. Let's hope it's a good one.
Off to wake Luke now as DS1 is desperate to 'help' him open the presents in his stocking, after already doing his own at 6am!

Libraloveschristmas1975 · 25/12/2008 09:35

Morning!! Happy Christmas

minipinkscottish · 25/12/2008 11:19

DonutMum · 25/12/2008 16:07

Merry Christmas all. Just spent half an hour catching up 15 pages.

Bebe, I thought bells palsy too. Let us know how you get on at the hospital, sorry you feel bad.

Well, been busy busy busy, been home, to the funeral, back to Bahrain.

Logan is doing great, been on solids for the past week or so - just organix banana porridge in themonring and up to two meals a day over the past two days - pureed lots of carrot and sweet potato yesterday. And, he's sort of sleeping through the night, mostly.

Will be on more often to keep track of what's going on. My score was 34 btw. Oh dear oh dear oh dear.

RumpeliciousChristmasWishes · 25/12/2008 20:13

Hi All Merry Xmas - hope you all had a fabby day and are now about to have some ME time - ie slouch into a sweaty, knackered heap on the sofa with a glass of something sparkly

Hardly had any sleep the past 2 nights as poor Cal has a rotten cold again and is snottery and coughing. Amber had a great day and loves her new cooker - the only problem is she sneakily filled the sink up with water (even though I kept telling her it was toy and to make believe) so a wet floor now. Calvin got 1 of those In The Night Garden ride ons and Amber has been whizzing around on it - she is having huge fun with hers and Cal's toys She ia bit scared of her Fureal chimps though Haven't even got the Mummy 1 working yet as I need to get batteries for it tomorrow.

I got a lovely red tartan belt (patriotic emoticon) and a fab zebra print purse which is actually a drop down photo wallet - never seen 1 before. 4 novels (TP, Maeve Binchy, JK Rowling and Val McDermid)huge box of Thorntons (will be passing them out on Sunday as I have finally managed to lose a stone and don't want to put more than 2lbs on over hols). other bits n bobs but am up tomorrow to got to the sales - feel really sorry for the retail staff having to get up at ridiculous am to open up for 7am - also feel terrible for all the people losing their jobs just now

DISNEY - did Sam and your other DC have a great day at Butlins - did you get a rest at all? And what did your DH et al think of your new Yummy Mummy image

DONUT - how was your first hot Xmas and how did your boys take it?

BEBE - where are you and what is happening?

SK - did you get a wee rest and some loving from your DH?

JODIE - have you been pigging out like me today?

GILLY/CILC/PUDDINGCHEF/PEANUT/TWINKLE - how are you all and how was Xmas for you TJUICE - apologies if missed other people - would take up the rest of the thread if I listed everyone

Well am off to chill with DH and wait for him to instigate 'relations' as he is wearing his sexy 'mansilk' undies he got from Santa LOL shame he doesn't have much of an arse to fill them out - not somthing that could be said of me #

Nite all and have a good un'
XXXXXXXXXXXXXX

TINSELJuice · 25/12/2008 23:57

merry xmas, everyone! hope you had great days and no dramas . . .

rumpel - i got the leopard print version of that photo wallet thing! and a big box of Hotel Chocolate, which i will be keeping! also got a big cashmere wrap, some lovely dangerous dangly earrings and other bits and bobs.

had a lovely mellow day. Elodie isn't eating much at all but participated at the meal, gumming a breadstick and a parsnip. she got loads of presents too. the only thing that got my goat is the way my 37 year old brother never lifts a finger to help on xmas day (or any day he comes over) and my mum totally condones it. but there is no point fighting the habit of a lifetime . . .

kitty - i know what you mean! this time last year, i had only just told my family i was pg because i was so nervous about the mc. so grateful to have this little punchkin now.

Poledra · 26/12/2008 00:00

Hi there
Hope y'all had a good one with your families. I've had a lovely day, DD1 and DD2 looked so beautiful in their special party dresses and they were sooooooo excited . O was of course mostly not bothered by it all but looked gorgeous too. I survived cooking for 10, including roasting a goose which I hadn't tried before. Off to bed now with one of the many new books DH got me - no surprise present from him this year, just the usual books and a recipe book stand I had asked for. I was slightly disappointed as he often manages to pull something unexpected and fab out the bag, but hey I can't expect it every year.

Rumpel hope your DH looks good in his sexy undies .

Love and merry Christmas to everyone

Poledra · 26/12/2008 00:02

One last thing - last year, could not face Christmas pudding on a 7-wks pg stomach. This year, still could not face it but definitely not pg! Has this spoiled Christmas pudding for me forever??

minipinkscottish · 26/12/2008 08:01

Morning all xx had hardly any sleep last night poor Abbie has been battling chest and ear infection for a few days and although got antibiotics on xmas eve is still finding it hard to sleep/breathe with bunged up nose

DD1 has also been ill with tonsilitis and is now being sick.... ...always on xmas!!!

Despite all of this we had a lovely day yesterday and Abbie was so excited kicking her wee legs and grabbing all the paper...wasn't interested in the contents...just the paper

Got to do it all again today as ds1,2 amd 3 have been at their dads since Sunday and come home today So more pressies...and more food...buffet this time though

JODIEhadtoomanymincepies · 26/12/2008 15:55

Hi guys, glad everyone who's posted had a nice day, and hope everyone who hasn't, has...

Had a lovely day, DH, myself and the DS's got totally spoilt, and we thought there was a credit crunch!

Rumpel Didn't really over indulge, but there is 4 boxes of chocolates sitting in my kitchen begging to be open before we go skiing tomorrow, Sam and Oli both napping ATM, so who knows!!!

SK This time last year I had just had my scan and was busy ferrying people from A-B and feeling rubbish and washed out...

Right, off to enjoy the quiet while it lasts, and I'll see you ladies in a week when I get back from Austria.

Happy New Year
xxxx
