Hello

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Riallybigbangandflash · 04/11/2008 21:30

DH said he is lovely too DH loves babies (though you wouldn't think it with the boys)

LackaDAISYcal · 04/11/2008 21:34

DS1 is great Sputnik; he can't wait to show him how to climb trees and go fishing . He wants to give him lots of hugs and kisses, but has a huge cold sore so I won't even let him breathe on him after that Daily Mail story last week!

On frequency of feeds, is it from start of one feed to start of another, or is it the time in between? DS2 is having three 15-20 min feeds with breaks so feeding taking about an hour and a half. then he sleeps for three hours between feeding sessions. Does this sound OK for a jaundiced sleepy baby or do I need to be waking him up sooner? Can't believe how much I've forgotten!!

Riallybigbangandflash · 04/11/2008 21:34

how was your monster in law?

justbeme · 04/11/2008 21:34

Wish me luck - Im off for a shower and our heatings not working tonight. Its ccccoooolllldddd
No pressure on our lovely new boiler!! and the plumber cant come out til tomorrow. I just hope theres some hot water.
Ive also got Jammys throat, so feeling sorry for myself even more now.

LackaDAISYcal · 04/11/2008 21:36

feline daisy is cool; she likes little babies, but not when they are making lots of noise.

Baby is being very quiet and calm and lovely. Wakes to feed than goes happily back to sleep after a bit of wind. It seems too good to be true!

Am off for some cheese and biccies and a small glass of red wine before bedtime

HollyWeen · 04/11/2008 21:38

Daisy, just lovely! He is a real cutie! Nice boobs btw ! Makes me want to have another...just a newborn mind you, not a toddler!

Hi natty, arse about your bank. Someone is America cloned our card a few months ago. They only took about £60, but the bank were amazing about it. We just filled in a form and got the money back within a week. Who do you bank with? We are with Halifax and they are fab!

I've just made apple crumble for supper. I usually use Nigella's recipe, but I tried a different one today. Big mistake, not as nice at all. That'll teach me to stray away from the pouty one!

I am feeling super housewifey and cupcake-bunting-esque today. I have been cleaning all day and I have baked. Tomorrow I am going round to look after my mum and cook and clean for her. She can't do anything after her op, so needs lots of tlc.

Fariy, I heart Guildford! We used to live in Woking and I quite often worked in Guildford. Great shopping and lovely atmosphere. I am v !

I am testing 6 cotbeds for M&B mag!!!!!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 04/11/2008 21:38

time goes from start of one feed to start of the next Daisy.

JBM, sorry you've got a bad throat. I hope it isn't mine - mine still isn't right

HollyWeen · 04/11/2008 21:39

Have a nice shower jbm! If it were me I would rather smell than have a cold shower, but then I am a minger !!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 04/11/2008 21:40

I am off to bed. Had a late night last night and am paying for it now.

LackaDAISYcal · 04/11/2008 21:41

Can't remember much about MILs visit (anaemia induced alzheimers has it's advantages ) except she came empty handed, not even a card , preceeded to witter on the old stories about DH as a baby that I've heard like a zillion times before and was very sceptical of my anaemia symptoms........and got in a dig about SIL being wonderful in that she didn't need any "assistance" to deliver the twins....again

HollyWeen · 04/11/2008 21:42

Daisy, that feeding frequency sounds good. I was told to make sure ds had a good feed every 3-4 hours to help clear the jaundice. As long as he is feeding for a while and every few hours then you are doing fine.

HollyWeen · 04/11/2008 21:43

Did your MIL seriously not even bring a card? How fucking rude!

Riallybigbangandflash · 04/11/2008 21:50

silly woman - does she have a long lost sister and brother that are married to each other and don't live too far away?

If I was closer I would visit and bring you a casserole and one of my lovely chocolate cakes Given my casseroles you've probably got a lucky escape there!

I am wondering, re the chocolate cake. I am married to a chef, so do you think I could write a cook book too???

I went to Woking once when visiting Dsis - I loved it there. (I know I am pathetic but Surrey is like the other side of the world to me)

Sputnik · 04/11/2008 21:54

Feeding sounds ok to me too Daisy

Sputnik · 04/11/2008 22:02

Both mine had jaundice too btw. Are they making you go back for tests?

NattyTomAndEllen · 04/11/2008 22:02

omg i leave for half hour! and everyone comes back!

NattyTomAndEllen · 04/11/2008 22:06

ellens in a bed now forgot to mention, my baby is growing up!

LittleMissNorty · 04/11/2008 22:18

Daisy...he is gorgeous....and so small ....

What a cow your MIL is....should think it really makes you miss your own mum as well.... I know how difficult I found it when DD was born....

That cold sore / Herpes simplex case was local to me and baby was born in hospital where DD was born....it was so

Well at least you don't have heartburn any more unlike myself and Tallulah!

Nice to see yu Natty and Annobal

Hi everyone else...

Jammy....how did DD get on at nursery?

hope you feel better soon Foxy.

HollyWeen · 04/11/2008 22:25

I've just read that DM story, how . My bf went to school with someone who is now severely brain damaged from an infected cold sore. Scary stuff.

Right, I'm off to bed, night all xxx

LackaDAISYcal · 04/11/2008 22:27

tha lack of heartburn is a revelation Norty

as is being able to turn over in bed without screaming.....much.

DH bought me a push present today......an inflatable rubber ring from the mobility shop ....aaaaaaahhhhhhh better than any number of diamonds I can tell you

Riallybigbangandflash · 04/11/2008 22:37
