Thought as the messages were coming in thick & fast I´d start new thread. Don´t know if it´ll work though. Fingers crossed.

yes, apple (or pear) and cinnamon a big fav here too - it's my standard going out snack, bung some baby rice and a pinch of cinnamon in a container, take an apple puree jar/tub and mix the two up when ready to make creamy apple cinnamon pud . I eat it if DS doesn't want it, honestly, it's not bad

Right I have to go to bed, just wanted to say..I have just expressed 10 oz!!!!
Went out this afternoon and missed a couple of feeds. I can tell I'm not empty but at least am not feeling about to burst.
But still secretly hoping DS wakes for a feed tonight.

KnitterInTheNW · 03/11/2008 09:10

Morning all.

Ooo, I'll try apple & cinnamon when he's eating again, bet he'll love it.

We have a doc's appt at 10:20. Part of me wants the doc to find something wrong so that it can be treated and then George will get better, IYSWIM.

at expressing 10oz, Ladybee! Very impressive, I'd have found that really satisfying if that were me!

ThePFJ · 03/11/2008 09:42

Hi all...

Denny did not take offense, I just had a stress at home and lost it. Sorry.

Ellie the pic's back up so you can take a sneaky peak at DP's pic. The whole 'taking the baby' away thing from the social services was...emotional. So glad doc worked out what the marks were. Jack still has them now.

Morning Knitter... good luck at the doctors hun.

xxxx

Morning all.

So glad u didnt take offence PFJ

Knitter, hope G is feeling/feeding better soon.

We had an on/off weekend. DC have all been ill over the last week, DD1 came down with it Friday, just in time for halloween. She had been looking forward to it for the last few weeks and should have been going on a ghost walk, needless to say she was not happy to be told she couldnt go out with a temperature and to add insult to the injury we had loads of kiddies knocking at the door.

My brother came up Saturday (havnt seen him for nearly 18 months) and did dinner/fireworks for them, my parents and my aunt and uncle.

Then woke Sunday am and hurled my guts up (had a brief panic that I had poisoned everyone from dinner the day b4). DH was on an early shift so had to look after kids whilst being ill - twas a cbeebies day.

ThePFJ · 03/11/2008 10:56

ooooer hope you're better now denny..

VictorianSqualor · 03/11/2008 10:58

Knitter, I had exactly the same pain a few weeks ago. Not sure what it was? Think it was partly because I had expressed quite a bit beforehand to go out, maybe also a touch of thrush, I put some daktarin on my nipples a couple of times and it stopped.
One nipple was worse than the other and I was actually dreading latch it was that painful.

VictorianSqualor · 03/11/2008 11:00

Oh, and Peachy is bas dairy free?
Otherwise Alex's fave is avocado mixed with cream chesse on cucumber, could be good to get some fat in??

KnitterInTheNW · 03/11/2008 11:06

George got the all clear from the doc, ears and throat nice and clear and healthy, and no sign of thrush in his mouth. Actually I stuck a bit of canesten on my nipples last night before I went to bed and this morning they were a lot better. Coincidence? I've been dreading feeding too VS, it hurt soooo much! He only had a feed once overnight though so maybe they just got a well deserved rest.

The doctor was lovely, I told him I was being a paranoid first time mum taking G to see him, and he told me that that's my job, to worry about my baby, and that his job is to put my mind at rest. He was really dishy too!

Still on for Thursday, Denny?

Denny185 · 03/11/2008 11:23

Dishy docs make it all worth while unfortuately there arnt so many of them around.

Def still on for Thurs have massive bout of cabin fever and need to escape.

I am risking coffee today, sooo gooood, water is v boring.

Denny185 · 03/11/2008 11:25

Glad G is ok BTW

ThePFJ · 03/11/2008 11:27

Hi there! Back from my week off (groan), haven't had a chance to read all your messages yet. Sam had his heart scan today & apparently he's got a very strong heart so he doesn't need to go again Very pleased about that as one less thing to worry about. Went down with another horrible tummy bug during hols though so not good Sam is also on antibiotics as his cough still hasn't cleared up so fingers crossed they'll work. Well, off to catch up on your messages now

bas is df (if I so much as butter a slice of toast an eat it, the casein amount passed through my milk causes him to scream for hours!), but you can get df cream cheese- its not the same as proper but like bread, its not as if he ever tasted proper is it?

VictorianSqualor · 03/11/2008 13:49

No, there won't be a comparison for him will there? Maybe give it a go then, it's not as if it'll natter hugely if it's mixed in with avocado anyway is it? I load big slices of cucumber with (cut kind of diagonally so they are longer, rather than normal round slices iyswim) and then he eats it like that.

Soph73 · 03/11/2008 14:18

can someone please remind me how I get my piccies/profile, etc back up again now that I've changed my name back - am completely useless, sorry!

ThePFJ · 03/11/2008 14:21

log into my mumsnet, click set up public profile page, on there is an option for profile mover page... think thats it?

Soph73 · 03/11/2008 15:26
