im going abroad with my gfs next year, im also going on a spa day (he is paying for me and friend), and going to get my hair done nxt week.

i will return to study too, and go out with my friends more. i realise i was too dependant on him to fulfill my social emotional needs, didnt seek it elsewhere, i will now from friends etc.

Peachy · 30/10/2008 10:04

Its not your fault: he did it. Remeber that. Write it on a piece of paper to keep on you tor ead if you need to: I love you, I know we will work, and I know I made a few mistakes but you did this and I am entitled to the time to recover.

Nobody is ever perfect: ui'd have been harsher over family time bu then i'd have blown it elsewhewre- I have to watch myself for the martyr ciomplex which I hate. But HE did this, not you.

Peachy · 30/10/2008 10:05

You will be alright, you know. Its still very fresh indeed.

scorpio1 · 30/10/2008 10:06

i know

ThePFJ · 30/10/2008 11:10

Scorpio - sending you my love. I hate it when guys suddenly find themselves in the whole 'having their cake and eating it' scenario. They love their family but love being whisked away by the first date excitment too. I bet if it was you texting another hot guy he'd be tearing up inside. Tell him that, kick him up the ass from me and then perhaps he'll find the time to try and 'romance' you again..?

Well wishing you luck, hope it gets better.

In other news. Boiler packed up yesterday, DP couldnt fix (He used to work with boilers for a short time) and so I was going to call the service guys... oh no another bill...
Then I thought, get the manual. 10 mins later with a bit of fiddling and looking in the 'for service persons only' part of the manual I repressurised the boiler MYSELF. Me. A GIRL.

DP will be so shocked. Was so pleased with myself called my Dad and crowed.

Yay.. hot bath for me today

Peachy · 30/10/2008 11:33

well done PFJ , I used to be handy before before dh- could turbo a car etc etc but seem to have gone all useless since meeting him! Think I will threaten him with fixing the washing amchine (4 kids half term and no washig amchine for a bloody week ) myself which may well motivate him to do it as he thinks I am useless like that

Scorpio, don't be giving him leeway for ebing 'hot'! We're all 'hot' to somebody after all- all we woudnt be on a postnatal thread! Even Brad Pitt isnt hot to everyone (cant stand him meself, and I dont like muscly blokes- skinny geek chic every time for me (note ds3 has the middle name Jarvis after Jarvis Cocker pmsl)

Anyway I was hot once..... sigh...... when I met dh I was engaged, and also being proporioned by the financial director and the head of sales. Remind me again why I chose the geeky clerk who lived with his Mummy......... LOL (yep peachy isn't too impressed with her Dh either today LOL, although he is well aware [hard start in DH's direction, which is the stairs as he's asleep].

scorpio1 · 30/10/2008 11:36

I love Jarvis Cocker!!!!

I know Peachy, I'm not. I just wish he knew what i htought of him, and that was enough.

VictorianSqualor · 30/10/2008 11:46

Wise words Peachy.
Now Jarvis Cocker?
Sexy? Hmm.

Peachy · 30/10/2008 11:49

Well I like him (mind oyu I like Gordon Brown and Dh looks like Mr Bean so I do not set myself up as an example of divine taste pmsl!)

scorpio1 · 30/10/2008 11:49

i don't think he is sexy, LOL

scorpio1 · 30/10/2008 11:50

i do however have a crush on gordon browns voice

TheShipsCat · 30/10/2008 12:00

Really Scorpio?

Although I do like GB...

scorpio1 · 30/10/2008 12:09

I have a very 'traditional' taste in men

Faves include Johnathon Rhys Meyers and my embarrassing crush - Max Branning

I normally just fancy tall dark men. [cliche]

Peachy · 30/10/2008 12:10

max branning???????????????

I would be sick at the idea

grotesque

it's not the ginger hair- almost married a bloke with ginger hair- its the rest of him

scorpio1 · 30/10/2008 12:11

i reckon he is right dirty

Peachy · 30/10/2008 12:13

dirty things need disinfecting not shagging

scorpio1 · 30/10/2008 12:14

LOL

He is not a very nice person though.

Peachy · 30/10/2008 12:16
scorpio1 · 30/10/2008 12:17

Peachy · 30/10/2008 12:20

Nooooooooo darent- someone might have a picture of my d to retalliate with pmsl (won a mr muscle lookalike award a few years back)

scorpio1 · 30/10/2008 12:21

Peachy · 30/10/2008 12:43

i heart vs

TheShipsCat · 30/10/2008 14:07

Really not sure about MB, Scorpio!

Now tell me, am I being a control freak? I go away for a week on Saturday, and I have just been cooking for DH, MIL and girls for all their weekend food, have written out a comprehensive list for DH of who should sleep when, who should eat what and when, and how to cook / heat it. My mum has got the dds next week, and I've written her a huge instruction manual too. Plus of course, lists of what DH should take to my mum's (duplicate for my mum). Can you think of anything else I need to do, or is that too control freaky already? I know I won't end up doing my stuff until half an hour before leaving!

Sal - (TMI alert) on your recommendation I'm mooncupping today for the first time. I'm as nervous as a virgin going for a first fumble behind the bike sheds, frankly. God knows why. Reassure me I'm not going to lose it?!

scorpio1 · 30/10/2008 14:09

Doctors name and number maybe?
