I know,

Currently data cleaning 1200 questionnaires from old dears in Barnsley. What fun.

Pinkjenny · 11/11/2008 14:10

I've just been told some news that will result in a LOT more work. I never divulge on here, just in case!! But I am bracing myself for the calm before the storm.

And no, I DO NOT have pics. It was hideous. Our picture was taken as we went into a nightclub, and I look so ridiculous on it, mouth prised closed.

Aprilmeadow · 11/11/2008 19:34

Will have to text you to find out!

Spent 3 hrs cleaning today before popping to a friends for a cuppa that resulted in me staying there for 4hrs!

Thanks for the receipe LG&T.

TheGreatScootini · 11/11/2008 21:26

A night club?! I remember those..your poor teeth PJ.I am going to the dentist on Friday.I am dreading it.To make matters worse I am taking both girls..I beg of you.

You want Kasabian, Master..Boy Kill Boy, The Courteeners,The Cribs, The Enemy..

Hi Anemne..nice to see you..see they are all coming back to the fold I knew they couldnt resist the pirate porn forever..

Well had to tell one of my staff off royally today..she was sooo rude all provoked when I had to give her some slightly negative feedback which was totally justified..I am still so.I mean I would never speak to my manager the way she spoke to me..Anyway I dare say she wont be doing it again..>>strict manager emoticon

TheGreatScootini · 11/11/2008 21:28

Charley-Would a dove grey wall be too neutral for your lovely kitchen?Or are you after a pop of colour?

TheGreatScootini · 11/11/2008 21:29

Gin-what is happening with your sister now..I see you say you arent talking to her?

MKG · 11/11/2008 22:07

I've attempted to catch up and I can't. I've returned to the land of the living, and am feeling relatively good now. The boys are super cute and this little bean (who remains un-named) is moving quite a bit, so she must be doing well too. We're gearing up for Thanksgiving and Christmas, and after Christmas this baby will be here before we know it. ARgg.

Must find a name.

charleymouse · 12/11/2008 03:11

just got back from late night chemist garage for immodium for DH. don't ask,

Themasterandmargaritas · 12/11/2008 05:45

oh Charley. Sounds like it could be a messy business.

I'm afraid I didn't comment on your kitchen as I am just too and frankly don't have a clue. You need Colin and Justin to come sort you out.

April are you ok for me to do Secret Santa? You are always organising and being so helpful, so it would be nice to do something for you for a change.

Anyway wanting to partake needs to email me with your name, address and username:
stephensonkuk at yahoo dot co dot uk. All entries must be in before November 25th.

More and yet more rain and more and yet more power cuts. I'm consoling myself that we are popping off here in a months time.

Scoot how is your mum? Pink, it all sounds very cloak and dagger at work So sorry about the debacle of the girly night, but tooth or no tooth did you have fun? If we can't see a photo of your toothless grin can we at least see a photo of the 'do'?

Gingerbread lady, up again early this morning?

JamInMyWellies · 12/11/2008 06:56

AArrgghh insomnia kicked up a notch been awake since 3am! Just had a horrid hot poker like pain in my bump bloody took my breath away calm breathing totally out the window while I gritted my teeth and squealed in pain.

Aprilmeadow · 12/11/2008 07:26

Poor you JAM, you must be knackered.

TMAM that's great thanks. Will email over my details now. That place looks beautiful.

Spent 3 hrs on my assignment last night and kind of feel like i went round in circles, am hoping that with a clear head i can try and make something sensible out of my waffle. Have to hand it in tomorrow so i must try and resist MN temptation today.

largeginandtonic · 12/11/2008 08:22

CM oh no! Your house is plagued atm! You must be so pissed off with it all.

AM hope the assignment goes ok, i am a huge last minute head in books girl too. I love the impromptu cuppa that turns in to hours of chit chat.

PINK at your tooth!!! How terrible. After having your lovely locks done and gearing up to it all. Farcking typical. I want to see the pic anyhoo

Scoot i always take the children when we go to the dentist, he sees us in 'rounds' Tis hell. Lovely dentist though, so child friendly. Good luck! It must be fab to shout at someone at work, you know someone who actaully listens to you shout as opposed to a child that just looks at you and bats your noise away >

Would anyone like an 8 year old today? I fear school (if she makes it) may not last long enough today.

Jam i have this hideous pain sometimes, usually when i am sat upright, i sneeze or cough and it feels like someone is ripping a hole in my abdomen. The burning is intense and it has almost reduced me to tears. The painful Braxton Hicks have started in earnest too, i will live in doubt till she is born now. Is it labour? Is is not? I really cant be bothered with it all and am going to ignore it and carry on as normal till i feel her head. Only 9 weeks to go

largeginandtonic · 12/11/2008 08:27

TMAM i have just clicked on that link Words do not cover it... you are lucky to live somewhere so close to gorgeous places like that. Is this a quick jaunt before Xmas?

Scoot i am too to speak to my sister. She has not bothered phoning and will be all caught up in her own life to bother now thinking we should all be running round after her. One of her friends sisters died a week ago. It sounds very mean of me but she didnt know her at all and will be all woe is me. God i am cruel.

Have just sent daughter to her room again.

Tillyscoutsmum · 12/11/2008 08:53

Hello all

Can't possibly comment on all the posts - you have been a busy bunch !

SOH - my dsd's fave is Mika. We have to have his album on continuous loop on long journeys. After a camping trip last year to the South of France, it now makes my ears bleed . Tilly seems to like it now and dances around and tries to sing along. Scarlett has now progressed to Abba and told me off yesterday for joining in with Mamma Mia because apparently I don't know all the words (like she bloody discovered it or something )

PJ - at the tooth. Sorry - I know I shouldn't laugh but I would love to see pics

LG&T - sorry to hear things are still shit with your sister. My step mum is an expert at making any tragedy a personal one (i.e. her next door neighbour's second cousin's, brother's SIL dies and she dresses in black for a couple of weeks)

Hello to everyone else.

Dress fitting on Saturday when I need to be all assertive and tell her it needs taking in. Not looking forward to it. Wedding is 2 weeks on Saturday so I'm cutting it a bit fine (no pun intended)

Pinkjenny · 12/11/2008 09:30

Charley - your kitchen is amazing. Seriously Scoot, my house is awful compared to this lot.

AM - I'm sure your assignment is brilliant - I never do anything until the absolute last minute. Never done me any harm!

LG&T - what is P up to then?

Tilly - we're not friends any more. It was very traumatic, I tell you. I looked like a 16th century wench.

We are back in bedtime hell, so some controlled crying will need to be done tonight unfortunately for L. She didn't go down until 9pm last night, and 10pm the night before, and she is exhausted. She has a new tactic though, she starts playing a game with her dummy. Hiding it under the duvet and going, 'where gone? where gone?' with her arms outstretched, then finds it and goes, 'there it is!' She won't find mummy very engaging tonight I fear. The child needs to sleep.

Aprilmeadow · 12/11/2008 09:59

Pink go for it, you KNOW you can do it! (and you know i am on the end of a phone )

Pinkjenny · 12/11/2008 10:02

And you may regret saying that.

ShowOfHands · 12/11/2008 11:58

Oh how can you be mean to her? "Where gone? Where gone?" That's cute. Tild puts a blanket on her head and says "Where Tilda, where Tilda?" She can do it at 3am and it's still cute. I'm only so chipper because we all slept 12 hours last night so everything is rosy. Been for a run, eaten porridge and made an appointment for the dentist, spurred on by PJ's trauma. Haven't been for 7 years. I'm phobic about the dentist since my orthodontist keeled over and died mid-treatment and the woman that took over made me gag and vomit. Had brace removed, never went back.

Good luck with the controlled crying. Let us know what happens.

TMAM, don't you ever tire of going to beautiful places? Don't you just want to say sod it and stay in a cockroach-infested pit?

LG&T, what's up with P? Does she want to come and stay with me for a while? Dead serious, she's welcome to come up. Come with her. Leave N to cope.

Jam, I suspect B-Day is not far away. How scary exciting!

Professional photos tomorrow. I'm terrified and thinking of cancelling. Got to get through the haircut first.

Pinkjenny · 12/11/2008 12:02

It is extremely cute, and virtually impossible to keep a straight face. Oh my gawd SOH, what a horrendous experience. I don't mind the dentist at all. I do, however, prefer a full complement of teeth.

I don't want to do CC, as you know, but I really am at a loss this time. It's not like the time before, when she was smaller, and she'd go to sleep in our bed. Now, she won't go to sleep at all until late if I put her straight in with me, and she is having to be woken up in the morning as she is still tired. I told her it was time to get up this morning, and she was saying, 'noooooo mummy', like a blardy teenager!!

Professional photos? How fabulous. We have to see them. What are you wearing?

Aprilmeadow · 12/11/2008 12:20

Woohoo,i have knuckled down and managed to get 1566 words together for this project. All i have left to do is my recommendations and then its done! am going to have some lunch, pop out and then get on to it

SOH how awful! I would have taken my braces off as well!

It is so annoying at how cute they can be when you just want to tell them off. Ella is such a pickle and is so cute with it. Her answer to most things is 'noooooooo' said very quietly with a funny face that just cracks us up each time.

ShowOfHands · 12/11/2008 12:20

L's going to be a fantastic teenager, I can already see it, hiding her boyfriend under the duvet and gaily declaring 'where hector, where hector?' Oh she'll be so cute.

Yesterday I tried on everything I owned. And cried. A pathetic amount. I look ridiculous.

Jeans. T-shirt. Greying nursing bra. Sack. Some/all of the above.

OP posts:
ShowOfHands · 12/11/2008 12:24

Woo hoo AM! Want to write my book for me?

OP posts:
Pinkjenny · 12/11/2008 12:34

She's trouble. I can feel it. But Hector? Nooooo.

AM - well done, it's so much easier if you just get started.

SOH - did you decide on anything to wear then??

JamInMyWellies · 12/11/2008 12:36

PJ that girl is hilarious am sure not for you. YOu have to think spirited that what I think everytime A does something that drives me simultaniously bonkers and makes me want to crack up laughing. Good luck with the CC.

AM thats fab news well done you for knuckling down.

SOH right these photies are they proper sunday best clothing or are they sort of casual everyone lying around in ooh we just collapsed into this pile of family gorgeousness? If they are the casual ones. Can you get to a primark or tesco or somewhere that does cheap as chip clothing where you can invest in a pain coloured t-shirt with a pair of jeans then buy some funky bangles or necklace??? I know you are not a fan of your figure and I have no idea why O saw you in your cossie on FB you are looking fab! But go for tighter jeans and t-shirt to show it off.

LG&T is P on hormone therapy could it be her injections that are making her a little bit difficult?

Scoot well done you for telling staff off.

Tilly how nice will yoou post pics for us to gawp at your beautifulness?

Charley your kitchen looks gorge I for one would get plain or with a slight smoke to it glass. Does that wallpaper have any colour on it or is it black and white? A sort of red colour or a silvery grey would look fab with that.

ShowOfHands · 12/11/2008 12:41

I have nothing nice to wear. I'm pre-pregnancy weight but a totally different shape, mainly because my boobs went up from a B/C to DD/E. Therefore, all of my tops stretch across my boobs and look stupid and pull up from the waist, showing off my stomach. I never had boobs before and so didn't shop for them. The only tops that don't stretch or ride up are maternity ones and because I have no baby in me, they are baggy round the middle making me look huge and shapeless. It's thoroughly upsetting.

TSM linked to a peacocks dress on a style thread that I quite like. It's here. I could borrow £12 off my Mum but it'd probably look silly. I'll just wear a t-shirt and jeans and scowl.
