AH oops at biting

Dont know re nappies amber, fleur has never had any runny nappies since starting she now goes once a day more or less but banana is a real no no as it really constipates her

on weaning front i made some brocoli puree/mush to freeze today and gave some florets to fleur to see what happened ie BLW style which i hope to do a mix of later most ended on floor but some went in See her [http://www.fleurvanaalen.blogspot.com/ in action]

debinaustria · 27/10/2008 22:40

show me more sponge, he is gorgeous and sounds so like ethan it's uncanny, dh was listening in and thought I was watching a video of ethan. Hasn't Alex got stronge legs?
Are those ring things from ELC? Might get Mum to get e some for Christmas.

debinaustria · 27/10/2008 22:41

Just watched your of to bed video on yr tube - LOL

Rolf · 28/10/2008 07:10

Sponge - he's gorgeous . That giggle is so adorable!

spongebrainbigpants · 28/10/2008 08:10

Thanks guys! Glad you liked it !

Deb, so weird that your dh thought it was Ethan! The Off to Bed video I think was more for dh's entertainment than Alex's - he looks a little stunned by the whole thing!!

The rings are from Mothercare/ELC and Alex absolutely loves them, and they're great cos I can stick them in my handbag, or attach them to his pushchair and take them anywhere. Have kept him entertained for hours!

spongebrainbigpants · 28/10/2008 08:13

Paro, love the BLW photos .

Amberc · 28/10/2008 08:44

Sponge - super cute vids - love the off to bed one!!!!

Luke slept well after all my moaning yesterday from 7pm to 6.15am with a dream feed and a bizarre 3am poo! He would though as it was the night nanny night. Hope the 3am poo doesn't ahppen again! He was mega happy this morning too which means he'll be a moody old grumpster when I meet the London ladies!

My sis got made redundant yesterday. I feel sorry for her as they are trying for a baby and so she won't get any maternity benefits or they'll have to wait until she finds a new job and then does 6 months. She did hate it there though so fingers crossed they'll give her a decent bit of cash.

Neenztwinz · 28/10/2008 09:18

Cute vid Sponge and interesting to see your blw Paro. I have been putting bits and pieces in front of my two but they haven't gone for them yet. Thought maybe they were too young but they are about the same age as Fleur (adjusted). Will keep trying - carrot today (have tried pear and pumpkin so far).

After the trauma of controlled crying last night both DTs slept all night. Got them up at 7.30 again today and we start the whole process again!

Parofleurmapu · 28/10/2008 10:30

Morning

Neenz not much went in her mouth though!!but like you i keep tempting her

oops seems my post was confusing not my bday!!but thanks anyhow!

Question, anybody know which uk stores with baby stuff deliver overseas? trying to make a list of them for family friends

poppy34 · 28/10/2008 10:35

bumpto3 does and I think amazon does

debinaustria · 28/10/2008 13:25

very funny thing just happened here, you must read this

cheered me up after my morning shopping when i forgot the adaptor for the car seat to go on the pushchair, so i had to lug ethan round shopping centre in car seat, then i found i'd lost my parking ticket, i almost cried WHEN THE CAR PARK MAN SAID HE'D HAVE TO CHARGE ME 10 EUROS, HE LET ME OFF - WHAT A NICE MAN.OOPS - HOLDING A WRIGGLY BABY - NOT MEANING TO SHOUT.

needahand · 28/10/2008 14:19

splodge loved the video, Alex is soo cute. And if I may say you have a lovely voice.

Paro and Josey I hope you'll feel better soon

As for me this is probably my last week as a "regular" poster as the next two weeks I am on holidays and when I am back I am starting work again [needahand sobbing incontrollably emoticon] . I will probably lurk and post occasionally after that but it won't be the same boooo

aberdeenhiker · 28/10/2008 15:40

I'm off the naughty step now... thank goodness I wasn't using any force so it was more of a nip (I'm glad it was banana and not an apple!). I have not told this story to DH - I think it's one of those things he doesn't need to know

Amber - runny poos can be a sign of allergy, my DS1 had them from an undiagnosed milk protein allergy for ages, but I don't see how apple and carrot could cause that! I've never heard of a fruit and veg allergy...

FiveGoMadInDorset · 28/10/2008 16:36

Sorry I haven't been on, busy with guests and then a 4 hour round trip to Chichester yesterday for a funeral, my Father's lovely cousin who was the ripe old age of 77, lovely funeral and spent a long time with my brother chatting which haven't done for a long time.

Vageuly caught up on posts.

Amber sorry to here about your sister and hope she manages to find a job soon.

Love that storu Deb Rolf am totally with you on potty training, DD 3 in January nowhere near it had a few aborted tries, think we will give it a go in the Christmas break.

ThePenguinProject · 28/10/2008 17:29

No time to post properly, but enjoy every minute of your holiday needahand. I'll be going back to work in just 8 weeks.......so I really do sympathise.

alipalli · 28/10/2008 17:30

Trying to type with Peter on my lap. Will see how long we last...

Splodge - your videos were the talk of the London meet up this morning, but I hadn't seen them at that stage. Very cute and funny. I too thought that you had a nice voice hopefully not. I think Peter liked watching too.

I am about to update my profile with a picture of us and the new sling...the one that I forgot to take to Wimbledon this morning that would have made Peter so much happier. P was a grump in the coffee shop and would not feed, possibly too much distraction there. I left the others and fed him in the underground carpark which was much more successful. Then I drove home with him moaning intermittently. He has been a reformed child since we got back. Much more happy and smiley. We went for a walk in the lovely cold, sunny weather this afternoon up on the North Downs.

Needahand sorry to hear that you are sad about going back to work. Do you have the kind of job where you can lurk on MN in the office?

Poppy sorry to hear about DH. You aren't having too much luck with France at the moment are you.

Deb - LOL at your visitor.

Right thats it for now. Will add the photo shortly.

alipalli · 28/10/2008 17:34

Photo updated

FiveGoMadInDorset · 28/10/2008 17:48

AMber runny poos and more of them can also be a sign of teething

ThePenguinProject · 28/10/2008 19:05

Lovely sling AliP.

Amberc · 28/10/2008 19:33

Ali - cool sling - makes Peter look small! Had a lovely time today London ladies - lovely to see how the babies are so grown up! Essie and Iestyn sorry about being eaten alive by Luke.

alipalli · 28/10/2008 19:46

What happened to Iestyn? I knew you were weaning Amber, but this sounds a bit OTT

fungle · 28/10/2008 19:56

Hello all!
Needahand - back to work already? Can you not take the full 9 months? Or did you finish for maternity leave early? Im due back at the end of March, It seems to be creeping up, once Chrismas is over then not much time left! Are you going back full or part time? Are many others going back to work? And have you sorted out childcare yet? Ive now got a childminder(who I love! and lives round the corner and can do school pick up) but for the other day I have gone with a nursery, which is a very long trip on foot (cant drive) but needs must...
Sponge - Also love the rings in your video, I want some too!
Had a real bad luck day here today...Took Isla for 4 month jabs, they are the worst hey, they are so much more aware than they are with the others. and there are THREE of them!! Isla was inconsolable.
Trod in dog shit on the way.
Water for formula in bottle leaked all over change bag, so couldn't give LO milk after jabs.
Buggy has developed a super irritating squeak.
Bank have taken money out of account that they shouldn't have.
Bloody hell!
Both kids now in bed, hoping the SLEEP!!
Hope everyone has a good night....
Oh, had LO weighed today for the first time in ages is now 15.10 lb. Has slightly dropped of the centile she was following, HV suggested thinking of weaning soon.

Parofleurmapu · 28/10/2008 20:04

Hehe Debs, Ive done that too but i turned round and went home and then went back again!!!

Thanks Poppy, but are there ant that people inEngland can physically go in and choose something in Cambridge,Haverhill, Bury area thinking bout my grandparents who dont have internet, Although my grandma thinks she has cause when my parents spoke to her on skype she told everyone oh i use that internet thingy and computer to talk to my daughter she doesnt even have a computer!!! Bless

Thanks Needahand sorry bout work I was meant to be back on Mon but Dr i saw today signed me off til 19th Nov

Allipali - re slings Is that the Ellaroo can they go forward facing? and is it easy to get Peter in and out? Thinking bout new sling love the colours of ellaroos but also like the way the strechy lycra ones say they do forward facing and baby pops in and out easily but they are all plain colours

And hehe re Peter also wondering if you have new approach to weaning enlighten us!!! thats taking BLW to the next stage
